Pretty tasty burger joint. I ordered the 4 cheese grilled cheese & bacon on sourdough sandwich and it was super tasty and uniquely textured with the cheese both creamy but chunky. It was super filling and also came with a tomato dipping sauce. My guy offered a burger and it was cooked perfectly and pretty large & tasty(I had a bite). I also ordered a chocolate shake and it was very creamy and delish. They had some good looking seafood sandwich specials that I wished I could’ve tasted like their crab burger. Service was great, there was lots of friendly staff bussing and turning over tables like clockwork. Overall it’s super nice to see a good dining choice like this at a casino.

Interesting that the reviews on here are soooo polarizing. Flipt gets a bunch of 1 and 2 stars and also gets a bunch of 4 and 5 stars. I think it’s a 4.5 star, but I round up here. I ordered a Rivers burger($ 10) and it’s fantabulous. Got it exactly medium rare like I ordered it. For people who want a lighter burger, they have ¼ pound burgers for a few dollars less. The fries are an additional $ 3 if you add on to a sandwich. Also super delicious. To the other poster that says they are Steak N Shake fries — um, no. Steak N Shake serves shoestring fries. These are steak fries — thick, hearty, and yum. While the price is more than a typical fast food joint, it is right in line with gourmet burger places. They also have a daily special burger that includes fries for $ 10-ish. On a budget? Look elsewhere. But if you have a few dollars to spend, it’s pretty tasty and you get lots of food.

Rude, ignorant, overpriced! Save your time, money & self respect. Better food & service at McDonald’s.

This isn’t a bad burger place, but there is little to really recommend it either. Essentially it’s the quicker cheaper alternative to the Canopy buffet adjacent to Flipt. The presentation was decent. But the taste and more so the aftertaste is little different than a burger from the big yellow M. Onion rings are something i usually look forward to, and although the rings here looked great, they were fairly bland and uninspired. Overall I give it a hearty meh.

It decent for late night eats at the casino, much better than the chinese or whatever food is next door to them. The service is spotty, but the burgers are decent. Get ready to spend like 15 plus dollars though.

Gonna make this short and sweet. Best burger ever. Won’t go anywhere else for burgers besides this joint. Love the rivers sauce.

Really good burger and dog place. Nice option from the typical casino fare and it’s really good. Try the burger with all the fixings — even the mushroom burger is good. The soft bread role helps make it delicate, buttery, and good. Would come back again.

Before you come and lose finances playing games at Rivers, make sure you take care of your appetite beforehand at FLIPT! Bleu River burger is worth every dollar(including the tax) Service is great, I don’t eat bacon and it came on the burger so the chef gave me a choice if I wanted it remade(I didn’t, just took it off). Overall 5 stars!

Literally get our order wrong every time… Today I ordered a med rare son-of-a-flipt burgers with everything but no jalapeño, no ketchup. Bit into a jalapeño. Sent it back… Another one came back, no jalapeño– double checked it. I was so excited so I took a bite… Aaaaand this time the patty was way past well done. Like extra chewy and not in a delicious way. It made me want to just leave the food and drive to McDonalds. The ranch dressing was awesome though. Love the dressing– they get three stars for the ranch. Props to the manager for being nice and giving us a 60% comp but come on. My order was not complicated and y’all messed it up twice. I’ll stick to my mcdoubles-extra pickle. Atleast Mickey D’s gets it right the first time around.

We ate here late night at the casino and I got the balsamic marinated portobello mushroom sandwich! It was so good & it hit the spot. Fries were good. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Can you say rip off? I’ve been to Rivers to gamble and to eat at their buffet a bunch of times. However, I needed food and Flipt was the only one open. Hugo’s was closed for a private event, the buffet was already closed… well you get me. This place didn’t have a line… go fig I ordered just their turkey burger, a side of fries and a pop. Nothing fancy… just a simple turkey burger and fries with a drink. My total was $ 16.50…are you serious? I was thinking this better be a damn good burger. Keep in mind you refill your own pop and bus your own table. My meal arrived at the table and needless to say it was disappointing. The burger was nothing impressive and tasted like chicken sharwarma for some odd reason. The bun had the taste and texture of really soft sliced sandwich bread. As for the fries, nothing great or fancy about them. It was like Steak n Shake fries but just a tad thicker with 2.5 times the price. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. If the meal tasted better, then sure I would be able to understand the high price.

Ate here a few times — once I even got it to go as I live a few miles away(everything packaged nicely in a small paper shopping bag). I’ve had the Blue River and the Makin’ Bacon burgers on different occasions and both are very good. This is a pretty big burger and substantial enough even for a big guy like me. The abundance of toppings can turn the burger into a sloppy mess though, especially if they over-sauce the thing so I always cut mine in half first. Bun, meat, bacon etc all seem to be top quality and are all delicious. Always cooked med. rare as I request. The blue cheese adds a distinctive ‘bite’ to the flavor — if you like blue cheese you’ll know what I mean. Service has been friendly every time I’ve been and the tables, cooking and dining areas appear to be clean and well maintained. There are a couple of dedicated service people keeping tables cleared and offering to run for extra napkins etc.(I usually leave them a dollar or two). The place is a tad pricey for cash but I regularly get $ 10 meal comps so for me it’s just a few dollars for the meal — well worth it(when I get $ 25 or free buffet comps I sometimes opt for Hugo’s or buffet — both also very good). Been back a couple times and would do so again.

Mediocre chicken sandwich. Definitely not worth $ 17 for the dry sandwich, cup of fires, and beverage they provided. Over priced like a mother f***er…but that’s understandable… we’re at a casino. :/

Today was my first visit to Flipt restaurant located inside the Rivers Casino. It’s small, brightly lit and a very clean restaurant that servers mostly burgers and hotdogs along with a few other select items(like salads or a five cheese grilled cheese). Today I ordered the Makin bacon burger topped with a fried egg, an order of onion rings and a shake. The burger consisted of a single burger(cooked medium) topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, a few nice and juicy slices of canadian bacon and a fried egg(added on option) on a warm, soft bun. The burger itself was actually really good. It was cooked to temp, the patty was seasoned well and it didn’t require any condiments to taste good. I do have two complaints though. The menu says this is a half pound burger(which this wasn’t), and they didn’t give me the barbecue sauce that was listed on the menu. Either way, it was still a really good burger. The onion rings were simple thick cut rings with a panko crust. They were served hot, really crunchy(I love panko) and were actually some pretty good onion rings. They have three favors of shakes. Chocolate, vanilla and the flavor of the day(today was cookie dough). I ordered the chocolate. It was smooth and creamy(not too thick, not too thin) severed in a simple plastic cup with a very large straw(big enough to fit my finger in it). It was good, and the perfect accompaniment to my burger. All together I enjoyed my meal a lot. Everything had a lot of flavor and the employees I spoke to were all very nice and attentive. If you’re willing to shell out a few bucks, then this place is worth trying. My meal today was not cheap(but not unexpected considering it’s in a casino). The burger was $ 10, optional fried egg $ 1, panko onion rings $ 5 and the shake $ 3.50 Total cost after tax, just over $ 22.

I had the five cheese and bacon grilled sandwich and a side of onion rings. I was impressed with both. The sammich tasted great; the onion rings were real(not the crap just covered with bread crumbs). We ate here after a long day of meetings and a trip downtown to Chicago. It fit the bill, was relatively inexpensive, tasted great, and was pretty quick.

I had a feeling with a name like Flipt & a picture of a spatula, this places incorporates grilling.
Setup: You order at the cashier, then they give you a number to place on your table. You get your own drink, utensils, napkins, etc. After you sit down, a server brings your meal to your table. I’ve been to Flipt a few times & each time I ordered the Flipt burger(or Son of a Flipt burger because it’s smaller). I love the bun it comes in & especially love selecting from a large list of toppings. For some reason, I prefer their pickles & shredded lettuce. But I add some more toppings. The final product is pretty awesome. Very close tie to a Portillo’s burger. Their Fries are thin but ‘meaty.’ They come in a cup & I usually devour them. Their Onion Rings are pretty good with Pranko breading. They also have Chicken sandwiches, Hot Dogs, grilled cheese, salads, etc. I hope to try some of their other dishes. The only negative is they are pretty pricey. Perk: After their meal, you can gamble at the Rivers Casino.

With the burger craze sweeping the country and burger joints opening up everywhere. The bar has been raised. Flipt does an ok job but does not quite fit the bill. Ordered a Patty Melt with the addition of raw onions, the bread was twice the size of the burger, the bread was way undercooked on the flat top, the burger meat itself was seasoned well and tasted good.

I have been told by several people that this is a great burger joint and for the first time ever, I did not let the Unilocal reviews scare me off and I gave it a shot. Trying to keep our expenses to a minimum, my hubby and I have found ways to keep our food bills(and essentially calorie count) lower… we skip the soda, we share a side dish, we share a meal, we don’t add all the extras like soups and salads. With doing these things, we can save anywhere from $ 5 to $ 25 dollars depending on where we’re eating. Last night was no exception to this rule. I knew this wasn’t the cheapest place to eat but I wanted to surprise my husband with a little date night somewhere new. Like I said, I have been hearing for a while that Flipt is a great burger joint and I have a few friends that actually go to the casino specifically to eat here and don’t even gamble so I figured if they can do that, why can’t I? Even with cash in my wallet, I proved to myself that I can have some serious self control when I want to. We walked in to the casino, stopped to use the restroom, and made our way over to Flipt in the corner of Rivers casino next to the buffet. You order your food at the counter, where you can also ask the employees about any food questions, I saw a poster on the walk up to the counter with a special $ 14 deal which includes a Half Pound BBQ Teriyaki Burger, with fries and a tropical shake with pineapple. Steve liked the sound of this, so that was his choice. I asked the girls at the counter which they preferred, the burgers or the chicken sandwiches? And they both said the burgers so I selected a quarter pound with cheddar cheese, pickles, lettuce, ketchup and mustard. I ordered my own side of fries which you can add to anything for $ 3 instead of the $ 5 you would pay if you just ordered a side of fries. You take your order number on a little stand to your table of choice and you wait. They technically are set up to just bring you your already paid for food and you clear your own plates, but Jose was kind enough to check on tables regularly and even cleared plates and cups throughout the whole place. I was impressed. My hubby and I both thoroughly enjoyed our food and I even ate my entire burger. I learned that we can easily share an order of fries. There is no reason to order my own because they give you plenty in one order. My only complaint is that their ketchup tastes like generic crappy ketchup. I was not a fan of it. It may have been the dispenser that we got it out of that may be in need of a cleaning, or it was in fact, generic ketchup, either way, I was not a fan. We will def eat here again, we will share an order of fries and we can easily keep our bill around $ 20. To all you people complaining about how expensive it is… cut back on the extras. $ 20 for dinner our in our area ain’t bad!

Great burgers and even better fries! I love the buns and the option of a smaller version of the Flipt burger. The prices are a bit steep though but comparable to what you’d see at a hotel restaurant. This is probably the 4th or 5th time I’ve eaten here and never noticed the staff comes by the table to check on things and ask how your meal was — nice touch! We don’t even care that this restaurant is inside the Rivers Casino — we go there just for the great food!

I’m so glad for Flipt and Rivers in general. My friend had an unexpected overnight layover and Rosemont has no place that’s open later than 10. A town catered to tourists and no place to eat late night. I knew Rivers would be open and fortunately, so was Flipt. I ended up ordering the Makin Bacon burger and split a basket of fries. I forgot to add any veggies and I went up to ask for toppings and ketchup for fries. One of the friendly staff members let me know where the ketchup us and when I also asked for veggies it was no problem for her to give me a salad to go on top of my burger. The fries were also tasty and with the Domaine Dupage added to it I have to say I was pretty satisfied. A lot better than some local places, and 3.5 stars for the booze and surprisingly attentive service.
