A great place for a beer and burger! My family has been coming to Durango for years, and we always stop at Lady Falconburgh’s for lunch.

I’ve been here multiple times over the years only to see the food get worse. The last time I ate here will be the last the time ever. I sent back my food three times and, I have never sent food back at another establishment. The service is great and the staff is friendly, the bar tenders are speedy and the atmosphere is fun.

Used to love the place but recent change in ownership, management and menu indicate to me little or no need to return! Gone are beer-cheese soup and a couple of formerly great sandwiches!(Meatball and Monte Cristo) I ordered a burger and specifically asked to not include the mushrooms on it. When it was served it was covered with.. . You got it.. . a pile of slimey shrooms! I cleared them to the side of the plate. Later, when waitress was clearing plates.. .(1st time she had bothered to check on us since sliding food across table to us).. . She remarked, «Oh the cook messed up I guess, Sorry ’bout that.» No offer to adjust price or comp a drink. We have not been back since.

Holy smokes! This place was terrible! The apps were cold… and nasty! And when tried three of them! Everything was so gross. All the while, some dude with a bus tub kept coming by our table giving us a mad dog stare down. Then… our entrees came! Ugh! Seriously, the beers here are the ONLY thing people must come here for. The server was nice, but seemed checked out. Too many other choices to settle for this place. Keep on moving!

Awful service, we got there at 5.30pm, it wasn’t busy… We just left at 7pm and our food had just come out cold and it looked awful. Stick out the wait for steamworks it’s worth it!

Lived in Durango 2 yrs, this place was always an OK bet for beer, larger tap list than others in town. Recently under new management apparently. Came in today and very sad to see a portion of the tap list has been labeled«premium» and it includes $ 7– $ 10 pours. I’m all for it if a pour is premium and rare – I’ll gladly throw down for that. The most $$ beers were from CO, and me and the SO had already purchased these from the liquor store and/or had them on tap other places in town(for much cheaper). Would have been awesome to have them on tap… if they weren’t $ 10/pour. Had to settle for beers we’ve had time again, and shuffled out.

Under new management! Food is outstanding since new owner took over. Green chili chicken soup was outstanding. Sante Fe wrap was delicious. Mesa Verde Turkey Burger was great. Staff was very attentive. Obviously have a large beer selection… but now food is awesome!

Don’t go to Lady Falconburgh’s expecting to get warm food or beer. Many beers on list were out. After an hour of waiting, all the meals came out cold. And worse, the manager didn’t care at all about his customers. Don’t waste your money here.

This place is awesome, great beer and great food and we had the cutest, friendly waitress ever. If you go in, ask if you can be waited on by a girl named Taylor she was awesome !

I ordered a reuben and my husband ordered a burger and beer. The corned beef was over cooked and the beer wasn’t as cold as you’d hope. The server was nice. This is definitely better as a nightlife bar and not a fun place to go for lunch.

The ultimate spooky dungeon bar west of the Front Range. Take a few flights down tge stairs and into Bavaria circa 1789. Cheap craft beer. Splurge and dive in and you might be enticed to climb a mountain or two. The food options are limited… burgers and such…

3 dollar pint nights on Thursday you absolutely can’t beat that. The testers were all great and for 6 bucks it’s a hell of a deal. We only got a quesadilla appetizer but it was really good and a good size to share with someone. They also have a lot of entertainment such as jeopardy and others but over all a cool basement bard. I’d definitely go back

We got an appetizer and sat at the bar. They have $ 3 pints during the week I think. Plenty of beer choices on tap. We got the chipotle chicken quesadilla which was $ 10. It was nice and cheesy and came with salsa, guacamole, and sour cream. I did not taste the chipotle and the veggies could have been cooked longer.

I have had drinks here a few times. The place is pretty big and roomy. Good beer selection. The crowd is 20’s and 30’s. I usually go to meet friends for a drink, but it isn’t somewhere that I feel is a must go when I am in town.

Great food. Extremely slow service. We waited 30 mins just to get our waters. Total time there 2.5 hours for just a «quick» lunch.

Truthfully, I’ve been here more than a few times and the service is mediocre at best. Food is average, and bar tenders are too cool for school. Not to mention the MCs for beer bingo are Fort Lewis drop outs. Don’t waste your time or money. No wonder it’s up for sale.

This is one of those classic place you cannot miss. It is situated downstairs in a building off the street so it’s not the easiest to find if you’re not looking for it. We came for a drink and some quick food but really enjoyed just hanging out there. The beer selection is decent– most are local– and we had the green chili which absolutely hit the spot. We did try to go back but it was so packed we opted out. It is definitely a spot to check out while visiting Durango.

I don’t think I have ever had as good of a time in a basement bar as I have here. Lady Falc’s is pretty kick ass. Their beer selection is awesome. Their food hits the spot. I never leave the place feeling empty in my belly or soul. They have a drinking club(as you may have read), but I gave up on that a while ago. Their card filing system is subject to anyone ^#&% with it and destroying/losing/removing your place-card of accomplishments. That stinks. Years of being a patron gone, ALLGONE! Where’s my damn brick on the wall!!! Oh, I guess that isn’t so bad. I still drank a lot of great beers. And their philly is the bomb.

There are lots of bars in lots of basements, so what sets Lady Falconburgh’s apart? Well, it’s really their beer selection and the staff. Think Cheers, but with something like 35 beers on tap(and many more in bottles). Norm would probably lose his mind. The ambiance is very Cheers-like, with wood paneling, sorts on the TVs, and friendly and helpful bartenders. Ask them for a recommendation based on the kinds of beers you like and they will set you up with something local you will like, guaranteed. The beers are local, with a constantly-evolving selection. Pretty cool. They also offer flights, in case you want to sample widely. I did not have any food here, but their menu looked really nice as well. Next time.

I was tired, I was hungry and I just wanted someplace to go that was within the price range I was trying to keep. I wandered around Durango a bit and found several good places to go, but all out of my range. Durango is a nice little town. I wish I had the time to explore but maybe another time. It is a college town but also has a great mix of upscale restaurants and bars. Lady Falconburgh’s is one of those bars. And I happen to show up on beer bingo night. The place filled up quickly and I was glad I got my corner of the bar. Beer bingo was free and Ska Brewing(local to Colorado) was sponsoring the night. Free beer, free shirts and apparently a keg too… sadly, I won nothing. I wanted a shirt. Anyway, this is definitely a college bar, and I guess I felt old even thought the bartender did card me. I still feel good about that. They have a good beer selection, mostly Colorado beers and even beers local to Durango. I had the Durango Ghost Train. It is a pumpkin spiced beer, but you really don’t taste much of the spice, which was fine by me. It was still really good. As for the food? It’s a good mix of bar food, burgers, salads, etc. I had the small plate/app version of their Guinness BBQ ribs. Five ribs and curly fries.($ 11.00) There is an entrée version as well but I didn’t need it, this was a perfect size. The ribs were sticky sweet and tasty but not a whole lot of the Guinness flavor that I was expecting. The meat was fall off the bone good. Being that I’ve lived in Texas for almost fourteen years, I am biased towards dry rub, but these were either really good, or I was just too damn hungry to care. I am pretty sure they were good. The fries, were fries. Tabasco sauce always improves those. A bit of a loud crowd, a young crowd. But as I said above, it was beer bingo night. I enjoyed myself. And the lovely«sights» were great as well. Enjoy.
