We came in at the end of breakfast, but the cook herself reassured us she was happy to cook us breakfast! The pancakes did not look like they would be good, but actually were probably the best pancakes I have ever had! Flavorful, moist, and delicious! The real maple syrup was delectable! Wonderful service, soothing environment.

We stopped in for breakfast with friends on our recent trip to Door County. We had a pleasant experience! Although we went in on Mother’s Day, the restaurant wasn’t too crowded and we didn’t have to wait. At our request, the hostess was happy to seat us outside on the patio. The group of us ordered a scrambler, some build-your-own-hash browns, and the baked cherry oatmeal. The oatmeal was especially tasty. I have to give a special shoutout to our server, Gerard — he was great! Gave us awesome service and had a wonderful personality. About ½ way through our meal, the rudest family showed up to dine. They completely interrupted our server right in the middle of when he was giving us our food and loudly asked if they could sit anywhere. Gerard remained polite & graceful to these jerks — at one point, one of the family members asked him if the restaurant, «had a landline that could be brought outside.» To his credit, he allowed this woman to use his own personal cell phone — which she proceeded to use and leave a voicemail for whoever she was calling… she then informed Gerard that, «He will call back if he gets the voicemail.» Uhhhh, OK – so our poor server politely said he would listen for his phone to ring for them! On top of that, they had 2 bratty kids with them who were allowed to run amok and generally be ill-behaved little snots. Customer service… it takes a special person.

Despite the spotty reviews we’ve never had anything but great experiences here. We’ve dined multiple times and found the food and service to be top notch even at peak lunch and dinner times. The Door County salad, with its tasty cherry vinaigrette, and the grilled cheese panini are especially tasty!

This is obviously a last resort type of tourist trap. Everything is mediocre, sub Applebee’s. Although… I am not an Applebee’s person, and i have high standards for my food. If you’re looking for quick feed yourself to keep from death food, go for it. Service was attentive, almost too attentive, +1 star.

A couple of years back, while on a weekend trip to Door County, my husband and I stopped in here for breakfast. Having had a great experience, we decided to come back again on our most recent trip. Sadly, things did not go as well this time around. Things seemed to start out on a good note. We didn’t have to wait as long to be seated as we did on our last visit. Our server was nice enough. And the food itself was delicious. As our visit progressed, the restaurant got a bit busier. That’s when the service started to slip. My husband’s breakfast was supposed to include unlimited hashbrowns. After receiving our food and drinks, our server never came back to check on us or ask if we wanted anything else. My husband wanted to order some more hashbrowns. We finally flagged down someone and asked for another order. He said that he would put it in. Right after that, the server came over, dropped off our bill, and walked away. At that point, we gave up, paid the bill, and left. We had other places that we wanted to go to before we left to head back to Milwaukee. I sure hope that this experience is not the norm. As I stated earlier, the food(and also the mimosas) are delicious. Perhaps they need to look at hiring more people, especially for the busier times of year.

We have gone here several times over the past few years and have always had a good experience. The soups and salads are very good. Today I had the chicken salad sandwich which was very good. It had lots of chicken chunks, grapes, apples and pecans. The pea soup was also good.

The one benefit was the kids menu was good for our 2 and 3 year olds. $ 40 for lunch for 4 is overpriced considering only water and sandwiches. Our service was fine but he waiters were arguing over who owned the tables right in front of us and it lasted the entire meal.

Our server was really nice, but also managed to screw up a simple order. Food is overpriced and portion size is small. It does have a nice area to sit outside but nothing else about this place is appealing.

My wife and I stopped here for some breakfast and were pleasantly surprised. I had the country fried steak with hash browns and two eggs over medium. Eggs were cooked perfectly and the steak had a great breading with some solid gravy. Hash browns were a bit bland, but the coffee was surprisingly good. Next time that we’re in Door County, we will not hesitate to stop in for breakfast.

Nice spot for lunch on their patio. They have a nice selection of food, wine and beers. The food quality is good the veggie burger is fresh and homemade with a nice texture and flavor and I recommend it if you are vegetarian or not. I see a lot of reviews that complain about the service here. My experience was just fine it’s door county and things are more later back here but our server did a perfectly reasonable job and everything came out in a timely manor. I’ll defiantly come back next time I’m in town.

Just left after sitting with NO service. Not busy either:( Others came in and got menus and drinks. Table was dirty with the previous meal. Waitress had told has to choose a table, we obviously chose wrongly!

Sometimes it is hard to believe that there can be such a long withstanding trend of horrible service. I can attest to the fact that despite numerous reviews stating this the trend continues. Breakfast should be the simplest meal of the day– not today! Not sure that we will get our food as we watch the constant floundering of the waitstaff and tables being served in a haphazard manor! Should you read the review first I would say skip this place! No loyalty here nor feelings of being valued, appreciated or a priority(as the placemat states)! Oh here is our food! 34 minutes since we ordered!

We were staying at a cabin in Egg Harbor the first week end in October 2014 and got into town a little late. We decided to go to the Bistro at Liberty Square since it was so close and easy. There were about 4 tables taken when we walked in behind a lady that had a question about a bakery in the area. It did take several minutes to get seated while 2 servers answered her question and getting seated was just«have a seat wherever you like.» That was a little frustrating, but the food made up for it. I had a ½ grilled cheese sandwich and homemade minestrone soup. Very good. Everything else that the people in my party had was great too… a meatball sandwich and pizza. We decided to go back the following morning for breakfast and the service was better. In fact the owner seated us this time. We were pleased with all our meals. We will definitely keep The Bistro on our go to short list in DC.

Doesn’t look like they help anyone here. especially on a Monday! We left after 20 minutes of nobody coming to our table.

This place was very cute and had great food. Our server was Gerald and he was super helpful. He also was very prompt but not intrusive. It seemed that some of the servers were not nearly as good as Gerald. All and all I would definitely eat here again food was great and inexpensive. Do not buy any of the merchandise because it is way overpriced and you could buy it somewhere else in Door County for much cheaper.

I stopped in with a few others for lunch after some shopping near by. I had the tuna melt and soup of the day, both of which were delicious, although somewhat pricey for a casual lunch. Everybody I went with was very satisfied with their food and said they would go back again. Loved sitting outside to watch the hustle and bustle around Egg Harbor. Three star rating instead of a four due to price and the fact that the server did not bring out napkins or utensils for us.

Bistro and Galileo’s are located in the same building and share the same kitchen. Bistro is more casual atmosphere. You can order from either menu if you eat at the Bistro. This gives you a Huge selection: something for everyone. Very kid friendly: they even created a child size entrée of Alfredo which wasn’t on the menu. Great bar! The service was outstanding. Our waiter was cheerful and gave us great suggestions. BTW: try the Bistro Burger with blue cheese and cheddar:(awesome). Guaranteed to satisfy everyone in your group. We will definitely return.

I stopped for lunch with a group of 6 other girls this weekend while we were visiting Door County. When we arrived when told the hostess 7 and that we would prefer to sit outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. After the hostess and 2 other people standing by had an audible argument(literally, she said«do something or get out of my way»), we were seated outside. Our server was NOT attentive and slow as molasses in January. He was truly a bad server all around. The drinks were ok, the food was decent but way overpriced. $ 7 for a «half» salad(which was more like a handful of lettuce, I kid you not) is ridiculous. The caeser dressing was also not my favorite that I have ever had. I don’t think I’d go back.
