Just came here for lunch. Unfortunately, we weren’t even acknowledged while waiting to be seated. We waited for 5 minutes while the employees walked all around us as if we weren’t even there. We ended up leaving, seeing how this business doesn’t deserve ours.

Ironically, we came here and didn’t get sushi. I love sushi so that’s why this is surprising. We ended up having the duck and rack of lamb. They were both cooked and seasoned perfectly! And our vegetable sides were so good!(Spinach and squash) They are also two of the priciest items on the menu though so there’s that. I’m not a fan of sushi with jalapeños or cream cheese because I feel like those two flavors overpower the seafood and sauce. It was almost impossible to find sushi here without cream cheese and/or jalapeños so no sushi for me. We didn’t sit at the grill so I can’t comment on that. The tables for two are super crammed together. Not intimate at all. I could of reached over and sampled the couples food next to me. Also, the servers came over to us numerous times trying to give us food that wasn’t ours. I guess they have sections but no table numbers so they had no idea who ordered what. Despite all of that, the food we did get was awesome and our waitress was very nice and attentive.

appetizer menu leaves much to be desired. Crispy rice with spicy tuna was too crunchy almost uncomfortable to eat. Ceviche lacked flavor. Four piece sushi sampler was lackluster. Service was OK soup out after the meal. I think I will stick with the lunch Bento box from now on

My experience with this restaurant was phenomenal! Milli was our waitress and was the BEST server I have ever had. The chef was hysterical and kept us entertained throughout. The food is TOP quality! Fresh grass fed with no hormones, which definitely made a difference in taste. We will most definitely be going to this restaurant again AND asking for Milli as a server!

Love the food here. Whether I’m in the mood for hibachi, steak, or sushi… They’ve got all 3. I’ve never had anything here that I didn’t like, and I’ve tried just about everything on their menu. The décor and atmosphere here are very nice as well. The only reason I can’t give them five stars is that you never know what you’re gonna get for service. I’ve had great service here as well as not so great. I guess we’ll just see what I get when I go in to get a bento box next week ;)

Price: $$ A little pricey for the quality, but I can understand it’s hard to get fresh fish in the middle to the desert. Food: Good. It wasn’t great but it’s the best in El Paso. Service: the server was busy so it took him awhile to get to us, but he was friendly.

I would give it 3 ½ if I could. The quality of the food compared to the price is just barely there; it was all very good and tasty but in my opinion a bit overpriced. The staff was accommodating and very friendly and helpful. There is a nice ambience and one of the better restaurants in El Paso. If I was traveling thru and wanting sushi I would come back because of the lack of other quality sushi restaurants in El Paso and that’s perhaps where they can overcharge for the sushi!

Wow, such a delightful surprise! We loved this restaurant and would definitely go back. The service was great, and the food was right on par. The Teppan grill is fun, the chefs make it interesting & make you laugh. I didn’t want rice as I’m trying to reduce my carb intake. The chef was great and gave me extra vegetables. So glad we have this great restaurant in El Paso!

The restaurant atmosphere was nice in the interior. On the outside it would be unexpected. Hence don’t judge a book by its cover. I made the mistake of sitting in a regular table. I would have preferred sitting by the Hibachi grill. But that was my choice.

Few restaurants manage to not only satisfy cravings and expectations, but create experiences and moments that are missed just as much or even more than the taste of their food. Koze is one of them, a meal at their teppan grill is a win win for anyone that appreciates quality ingredients, freshness, taste and especially Japanese/American cuisine. Here are some items in their menu that just make this world a better place: Filet Mignon, Salmon, Playboy Roll, Spare Ribs… And even thou it’s very simple, their fried rice(seconds after it’s been cooked in front of you) will make you want to never eat rice anywhere else…(Unless it’s Tara Thai’s sticky rice) Hands down best sushi/Japanese restaurant in EP.

Koze, where do I start? Appetizers? Great. Entrees? Delicious. Service? Friendly and attentive. At the time I wrote this review it must have been about the 12th time(?) that I have been here, and let me tell you the food never fails to impress. The experience starts with a Mizo soup and a salad. Afterwards the chef comes(in the case of the teppan grill) and starts making the delicious rice along with the vegetables and the entrée that you order. Throughout this time, the chef is making jokes and tricks. The whole experience is just fun and whimsical, as if you were watching a show. I usually order the filet mignon and dynamite. The steak is always cooked the way I like it, and the dynamite(which is a combination of scallops and shrimp topped with a delicious sriracha sauce) is also quite marvelous. If you don’t like steak or seafood they also have chicken or duck. If you haven’t experienced Koze before I recommend you stop doing whatever you might be doing and run!!! Run as fast as you can and experience this great restaurant.

I think that Koze is under appreciated, It has to be my one and only favorite sushi restaurant in El Paso. The seating and dinning area is very relaxing and comfortable. The sushi is delicious and I highly recommend the El Paso Sunday or the Super Salmon. The El Paso Sunday has avocado, crab, cucumber, and a little zesty tang to it. As for the Super Salmon it is to die for! It has seaweed, avocado, crab, and salmon. We also tried stuffed chips which is literally cream cheese stuffed chips and avocado and crab. It is group friendly and feels quite elegant.

This is on-par for one of my favorite restaurants in El Paso! The restaurant itself is a fairly good size. They have taken a moderately sized area, and with some careful table arrangements, have made it seemed like a much larger area than it really is. There are four or five teppanyaki tables, and a handful more regular tables/booths. The décor and lighting are great. They work well together to create an intimate environment perfect for a date night with the Missus! The Teppan Tables are great. The chefs are always a lot of fun, and do a wonderful job of involving everyone at the table. The teppan table menu selection is fairly limited, but there isn’t anything on the menu that isn’t good. The chefs will also listen to you if you wish to customize your meal a bit. The teppan tables are also great for kids too. Our 3 year old loves it! The regular tables are good as well. I actually prefer to sit at the sushi bar, because the majority of our visits have been just for sushi. The sushi chefs are like artists. It is amazing to watch them build sushi roll after sushi roll with ease. My favorites are the Spicy Tuna Roll and the Playboy Roll. The prices are about right for the quality. We usually go in and order 5 – 6 rolls, and spend around $ 70 – 80. They also have some good Gluten Free menu items to choose from! This place does tend to get packed for Holidays such as Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day. They do accept reservations, but ake sure you reserve your seat or table early! Those spots go really quick! If you have not had the pleasure of dining here, do yourself a favor and check it out! You will not regret it!
