Best sandwiches EVER. Always fresh, best ingredients and the bread is to die for. Wish there was a to-go line because ordering ahead doesn’t really help when you still have to wait in the 10 minute line.

Wow, talk about a delicious sandwich shop! I got the Pakalolo and my wife ate the Humboldt. Both were amazing. I love how the put a pickle wedge down the middle. We are fromt out of town and will totally be coming back here!

Best sandwich in town with a fun atmosphere. Fresh, packed with toppings as well as flavor and worth the extra dollar or two to not be consuming a yoga mat. Recommend the Five-0 which is packed with all kinds of meat, add Chipotle mayo for an extra kick.

A Eugene classic! Great toasted subs. I’ve had the pizza sub and the 5 – 0. Both extremely tasty. Try the pretzel nuggets on the side with honey mustard dipping sauce.

I love this little place! Best toasted subs in town. Love the play on words for the menu items. You are in Eugene after all! Ha! My favorite is the pretzel nugs!

Was skeptical at first due to the atmosphere, but I couldn’t be more wrong. Great experience and great food. There is always a bit of a wait but the taste will compensate your time. The 5 – 0, La Canna and the Ak-47 are my personal favorites and will never disappoint. They also have great pastry snacks. Thank you Cheba Hut. Thank you.

I can’t believe it took me so long to go here after I had it bookmarked for so long. I guess that will teach me a lesson in procrastination. I really liked the atmosphere when walking in, as I am sure most Eugenians do, with all of the marajauna references. The people, and employees are pretty chill, and very helpful especially for a first timer not knowing what bread goes well with what sandwich. I was pretty hangry at this point and the sizes run nug, which is small, pinner, which is medium, and blunt which is large so I ordered the pinner while normally I would have gotten a nug. I chose the thai stick with the garlic bread, and it did not disappoint. My guy got the Jamaica red which he has been here before so he knew he loved this one. We also got one of the munchies to munch on and it was delicious. I read one of the signs that said they make the sauces in house daily, and cut everything up fresh daily. I also love the fact that they have 2 flavors of kool aid on tap. I was taken back to kid heaven! Wow!!! You bet I got that grape drank! The only down fall for me is I don’t eat bread much, which is a bummer because their bread is so yummy! But I see that they do have salads on their menu. I wish they had lettuce wrap sandwiches. That would be bomb too.

A bit pricy but I would rather visit this spot any day over the big dogs, Jimmy johns, quiznos, or subway. The Marijuana references to everything may be off putting to some but I find it rather fun. So the cashier that helped me was a Frickin rock star. This dude had charisma and charm, other buisnesses should take note. I seriously want to hire this guy and pay him double. He walked me through the sandwiches and reccomend the white widow(chicken bacon ranch) and the club sandwich that I forgot the name of for the wife and I. Sandwiches were on point and the combos of meat, bread, veggies and sauce were on point. This would easily be a 5 star, but the price point is a little steep. 7 dollars for a 7 inch«pinner» Seems a tad high to come all the time. So 4 stars, but service and food is a 5.

I’ve just called 8 times in the last 30 minutes. You guys close at 3:00 am today. I started calling at 1:45. Ya’ll just kinda stop working or is it really that busy? Getting real sick of it. This has happened a lot in the last year. No wonder everyone ends up with Dough Co.

Daaaaaaaaaaaamn! That’s how it’s done! Being vegetarian, it’s pretty hard to get a good sub sandwich sometimes(cough cough, Jimmy John’s. …). I’m used to shredded tasteless lettuce or old, slimy onions and peppers, or the pathetic paper-thin spread of guacamole. I was about to give up on subs until I stumbled upon this place. Dude, these guys have great produce(I’m talking dark green veggies and plump and hearty pieces of cucumbers, jalapenos and such), spices, sauces, and they’re not afraid of making it spicy! The bread is perfect too. I had a taste test of the Greifo vs. the Magic Mushroom. They were both different and awesome in their own ways. My taste buds are in heaven, my stomach is full and y’all should stumble in here the next time you’re craving a sub too. Thanks again guys! :D

I love Cheba Hut. It’s like if Quiznos got together with Bob Marley’s family and decided to make great toasted sandwiches in a weed-themed restaurant. A Pinner(8″) sub is plenty. The Blunt(12″) is ginormous, and hard to finish. The small one(4″) is called a Nug. They explain the ingredients in each sandwich, so you don’t have to understand that lingo to eat there. You can choose your bread, ask for spinach instead of lettuce, and make other requests for custom eats. I HIGHLY recommend the parmesan oregano blend. That does something magical. The sweets are excellent; just what every 12-year would love to eat. I’ve always had good luck with orders, and usually eat in, arriving on foot(or by bus or bike). That’s the way to go, since the cheesy décor is part of the experience, and parking is tough for that 11th/High St. location. They even have a newly painted Nintendo and pot-themed mural on the west wall outside! There’s also a new bar area in the back that’s verry niiiice. They keep several local brews on tap, and service is always laid back and friendly. I learned this is a small franchise, with about 10 locations around the U.S. cool!

Good menu selection, great bread for their sandwiches, and there is Kool-aide on tap. I had the 5 – 0 and it was delicious, my son had the KGB. Great sandwiches, we paired it with a hummus plate. I will be back again, and again.

Very nice sandwich place in the university district in Eugene. Great college bar laid back atmosphere. Great service. I got the white widow. Get the garlic bread very tasty option. Loads of fresh veggies and great taste overall. The banana peppers pack a punch so be aware while adding them. Great pitstop if you’re passing thru Eugene.

The Cheba Hut… why did I only ever go there when I was stoned? The atmosphere is so corny. Or, weed-y. Bob Marley and other pothead icons are throned in tapestries and, I mean, it’s pretty obvious, but the sandwiches are all named after… marijuana strains. The sandwich sizes refer to marijuana smoking methods. It’s so dorky. I get that it’s a chain, I really do. This location is not to blame. And it’s cute that their theme is so easily manifested. The employees never messed up my order — well, maybe a couple times they didn’t hear me quite properly, but they were kind about it. The product was my issue. I made it a point to order in normal-speak… a 6″ turkey or something, instead of using their terminology. I wanted to be better than the Cheba Hut. But the sandwiches are honestly not that great. They do take a minute to arrive, and on principle aren’t terrible. They’re just boring. Like Subway-level boring. Half-assed lettuce, maybe some condiments, and ho-hum meat and cheese. The cheesy bread is awesome, but keep in mind that it’s literally bread with cheese melted on it and some marinara sauce on the side. «Toasted» subs. I get it.

Let me start by saying that when this place gets things right they make a great sandwich and the pretzel bites are good. BUT they rarely have gotten my wife’s or my orders right, or they’re out of something. It’s frustrating when you get home and open your sandwich to see that it’s lacking something. Not only that but my wife and I ordered the pretzel bites and after we paid they said they were out of them so they said instead of refunding us they’d make a note and we could get them free next time we came in. Well it was a little over a month till we came in again and I brought this up and the guy said they throw those notes away after a month(would have been nice to know), and he couldn’t give them to us for free. What a joke. I keep coming in hoping it will get it right and be better, but I think this is our last time.

Hands down my favorite sandwich shop. The employees are ALWAYS friendly and more than knowledgeable about the menu options and items. I love walking in the door as I am always greeted with happy faces and smiles. The different sandwich options you have to choose from makes ordering something delicious every time, a guarantee. There are also delicious drink options as well, to quench your thirst. And of course, I must say, I love the specific originality of the whole establishment. I.e. The relation to cannabis. It’s light hearted and fun.

I’ve lived in Eugene my whole life and just tried Cheba Hut today for the first time. I’m so disappointed in myself for waiting 24 years! It was SO good! I ordered the«dank» which is their pizza sub. I took my first bite and was blown away by how delicious it was! Definitely recommend x100.

Whut Whut in the Cheba Hut?! I hate that I love this place. Parking is terrible– you either have to park across the street at a meter(if you can find one available), in the back where they are narrow and scarce(goodbye, paint job!), or in the pay-lot next door(extortion!) The interior is run down and sketch. There are literally chunks taken out of the floor. How does that even happen? Ceiling tiles are discolored, the lighting is nil, the women’s bathroom is clean, but looks like something out of Saw. Neighbors are a pub or Dutch Bros., and Cheba Hut appears to be open quite late. The décor is, naturally, marijuana-themed, and clientele when I’ve visited is the group of frat boys you’d expect. Not that this is a bad thing in itself, but the language and conversation topics overheard are not for the faint of heart. In short, this is not a «family» place. I also had a hard time explaining some of the cartoons to my bug-eyed 10-year old.(They have cartoon characters graphically boning on a plaque that reads«PORN» over the door to the kitchen.) The music volume can get out of control, too, depending on the staffs’ moods, and music selection ranges from reggae to metal. I’m thankful they have delivery because their sandwiches are so damn good! The customer service here seriously cannot be beat. Every person I’ve dealt with has been bubbly, helpful, energetic and someone I would gladly trust with my food. Ohh. and the food! Veggies are cold, crisp and fresh! Tomatoes in winter are obviously hothouse, and they make no pretense of ordering organic, but sprouts, people– SPROUTS! And REAL avocado– not fakie avocado-flavored-mash. I usually get the White Widow, which is basically a chicken, bacon, ranch delicious mess. I’m not especially happy that they marinate the chicken in chili. Depending on the day, it can be too spicy to eat and there are no alternatives– if you get something with chicken, it’s going to be marinated like this, which is not advertised. My husband digs the Pakalolo– ham, pineapple, cheese. SOGOOD! Cheba Hut offers house-made treats such as Rice Krispy bars, Goo balls, and an assortment of cookies, which they will even heat up for you. it’s a pity the food is so good. I have so many friends I would love to take who just wouldn’t be into the theme or atmosphere, but such is life. Cheba on, my friends!
