Happy hour is the only way to go. The price for every plate of sushi(regardless of the original price) is $ 1.50! Can’t beat that price anywhere. Plus the service is quick if you get there early. We were in and out in 40 minutes.

This place is just okay sushi. I live down the street so my roommate and I figured we’d try it. The rice seems very dry and it’s annoying that it’s such a small place that you have to write your name down just to get in. I’ve had to wait up to 30 minutes and it’s a big inconvenience and they have no where for you to wait so you end up outside even if it’s raining. The happy hour is nice because it is so cheap, but it wouldn’t be my first choice for sushi in town!

Love this place because it’s so close to home & Happy Hour from 5 – 7 is great when all plates on the belt are $ 1.50. Only issue is they’ll stop circling out the red plates(regularly $ 3.00) come 5pm, so I recommend getting there early to get some of the good stuff if that matters to you. The sushi is okay, if you want the really good stuff order from the chefs. The staff is nice, it’s clean can get pretty busy come happy hour so expect to utilize your patience. Also, don’t forget to order mochi!

This place bring dishonor to real sushi chef around the world… Everything is so basic and made with the same ingredients. THEYALLTASTETHESAME! Besides the one that they add sweet sauce on. Other than that it’s all garbage.

My first time here — the service was very friendly but understaffed — you have to sign in to get a table — they should have the sign up board on a stand or something to let people know that have to do this — the sushi was good — had a red dragon roll –very tasty — did not know about their happy hour time or prices — that also would of been good to know — yes I would go back again

It’s not too shabby but pretty standard sushi train. I suggest ordering from the chefs, but specify you want it made, not just found on the train for you(which they did a lot) and if you’re getting something like seared salmon you don’t really want cold salmon… Anyway their happy hour is a bomb deal(5 – 7) but the prices are a little high for standard sushi train quality the rest of the time

Looks like there are a lot of Sushi Islands in Eugene. I can only speak for this location. This review is about the ramen. I’ve had real ramen maybe a dozen times between Seattle, PDX, and Eugene. I’m no expert, but I’ve tried enough to have an opinion. The chicken ramen is the best ramen I’ve ever had to date. I don’t expect much from chicken at places like this, but the chicken was grilled, succulent, and plentiful. The broth is really what stands out. This is a rich, not overly salted miso based broth that is very satisfying. I could drink it by the cup. The noodles? Fine. Best ramen in Eugene. For now.(Sorry Toshi, your broth is just wayyy too salty and not as rich imo.) UPDATE: Chef says the broth is a pork bone broth cooked for 8 hours and added to some miso. Legit. I want them to sell this by the cup, its totally drinkable and healthy.

I took my kids to go eat sushi. A different layout than the one on 11th. First thing I noticed was there was a price increase from the other Sushi Island. Not really happy that they have different prices. Also finding park is extremely hard to find a place. We got there a little later in the evening and they never put out any new sushi while we were there. Not sure I will go back to this one.

I thought this place was pretty good. Seems to be the same quality as the one on W11th It’s awesome they have different happy hour than the other one! Hard to say no to $ 1.50 a plate! I think they do a great job. The taste is just as good as expensive sushi to me so I’ll stick with the«good stuff» and by that I mean Spending $ 30 for lunch not $ 100
