«I’ll be your Huckleberry.» This was a nice taste of home. Being from Gulfport Mississippi the environment and food was a pleasant surprise. This will be my home away from home. The tea in a mason jar spectabulous. Great service great job Huckleberry!

Surprisingly delightful for what we thought in a small town. We came in with little expectations and was more than pleasantly surprised. I’m not sure what was better, the service or the food. They were both amazing. Highly recommend that you don’t miss a breakfast meal if you’re in this area!

Was in FF looking for brunch around 11am last weekend(bf doesn’t care for breakfast but I love it so had to be somewhere that served breakfast and lunch) stumbled upon this place decided to give it a try. Cute décor and service was great. I got the griddle breakfast that was on the specials menu two pancakes hash browns eggs and sausage, bf got the burger. Pancakes taste like sweet cream pancakes they were so delicious and filling. BF liked the burger(wish they had asked how he wanted it cooked though was a little too pink in the middle for his taste but he still really enjoyed it). Got the huckleberry swamp tea and bf got the strawberry lemonade. Both were tasty and waitress even put in to go cups for us to enjoy after we left. She checked on us often to make sure we were happy! Excellent service. We will definitely be back.

I enjoyed how there are soooo much regulars that come here. It felt like everyone knew each other and was very fun and inviting. I got the crab cake skillet. It only came with one and it was more like a pancake, but it was delicious. Hubby got the usual steak and eggs. his steak had a lot of the tough tendons/ligaments, but was decent and cooked to his liking. Our server was really nice and very attentive. Overall, I would give it another shot to see what else they could offer. 4 stars for great service and a second chance!

I’m not sure what I was expecting from here since there are mixed reviews, but overall it exceeded my expectations! I got the«stuffed» French toast and a side of hash browns. The stuffed French toast wasn’t really stuffed, it was just two pieces of French toast with cream cheese in the center. Our waiter was super friendly and the rest of the staff were as well! It was a little busy, so I thought it would take awhile, but it was pretty quick! The only downside was that it is a little pricey for breakfast food in my opinion. But I will definitely be going back!

We met someone me family for breakfast on Valentine’s Day. Even though there was a short wait, it was certainly worth it. Their breakfast was spot on. I had the crab cake Benedict and it was wonderful! Lots of flavor and just the right portion. My husband had the Tom’s scramble and he really enjoyed it. Their hash browns were some of the best. Very crispy and not greasy at all. The service was excellent and very attentive. Would return to this place.

My go to breakfast spots in Fairfield! Great service, great food, and everything is made fresh! I always get a hot iron skillet. Super delicious plate! Portion size is very large. I always have left overs at the end of my dine in but well worth the money! Thank you Huckleberry’s for awesome breakfast! I am a returning customer and will recommend to friends and family!

After reading some reviews we did not have high hopes for Huckleberrys. But much to our surprise the food was delicious, the price was very affordable especially considering the enormous portions, and the ambience is nice — it’s got a subtle bayou theme. FOOD — the food is great! Many reviews compare Denny’s and Huckleberrys, but Huckleberrys is much more like the Black Bear Diner. Personally I actually liked it a little bit more than Black Bear. My father ordered the ribeye steak platter medium rare and it was cooked perfectly! We’ve been to many steakhouses that can’t even cook medium rare but still charge you an arm and a leg. PRICE — for two meals and an order of(huge) beignets it was $ 32!

Great breakfast spot! When you walk in, you get the feeling that you’re in a rainforest. As you look around, you notice that the theme of the restaurant is Southern. I ordered Huck’s Griddle Combo for $ 7. Great prices for good amount of food! It was my friend’s birthday so they brought out a dessert for him, and sang to him. I loved the overall atmosphere and food. If you’re in the mood for Southern feels and great food, check this place out.

Due to sanitation issues, I refused to eat. I have never refrained from eating at a restaurant before, but was genuinely concerned with the sanitation at Huckleberry’s. Faint smell, when I entered, but tried to ignore it. Next, I went to the restroom, which had a horrendous smell – I firmly believe a restroom can tell a lot about the sanitation in general. Theirs happened to smell like sewage, and was poorly cleaned/not cleaned frequently. When we ordered our waters, they came out and each one had pieces of food/crud on them. They were also chipped around the rim, and could potentially cut someone and/or harbor bacteria. I can’t comment on the food, since I didn’t eat. However, I wouldn’t recommend it, if you are at all aware of sanitation while dining.

The food is absolutely fantastic! I usually get their breakfast here. Huck’s Griddle Combo is such an amazing deal and it really can’t be beat anywhere else! The Combo consists of 2 Pancakes OR1 Slice of New Orleans French Toast, Hash Browns OR Country Reds, 2 Eggs and your choice of Meat(Bacon, Sausage or Ham Slice)! And the best part of it all… ITSONLY $ 6.99! And HuckleBerry’s has the best pancakes I’ve ever had. I know that Black Bear Diner boasts of their Sweet Cream Pancakes, but, they don’t even compare to Huckleberry’s Sweet Cream Flapjacks! I live in Vacaville and not only does it take me 20 minutes to get here but I pass about 4 – 5 breakfast restaurants including: Black Bear Diner, Denny’s and Wren’s Café on my way here! I could easily save time and gas money by going to one of those other places but, it’s so worth the drive to Fairfield! The staff is super, super friendly and down to earth! But, my absolute favorite thing about the Huckleberry’s staff, is how fantastically, amazing their teamwork is!!! It doesn’t matter who your waiter is, every staff member is more than happy to help you with whatever you want! I love it!

Their chicken and waffle… One word amaaaazing! The chicken is perfect! So crispy on the outside but so juicy on the inside. Could have a little more flavor though. My boyfriend got the eggs Benedict w turkey sausage and wasn’t really impressed. The turkey sausage was very airy. And red potatoes were very mushy. But 4 stars for great service and my yummy dish lol!

Just FYINOTFRESHORANGEJUICE at this place, the online menu is wrong. Sassy service is complementary We were looking for a good place with fresh squeeze orange juice. We saw the reviews on Unilocal, and found this place advertising it. No brainer, drove from Vacaville to Fairfield for it, and we ordered and got Juice from a can, we asked the server AND She Said we don’t serve fresh orange juice from a loooong time. I told her it was advertised, and she responded«look I just work here, do you want to order something else!!!» I can’t confirm it is a great service Stafford she was just having a bad day.

Eh… we did not have good luck with breakfasts on this trip. We stopped in to this Huckleberry’s around 8:00 on the 30th to get some food before we hit San Francisco and got parked for the game. First bad item was the iced mocha. Oh my. Why did I pay for this? $ 3.50 and it tasted like it came from a machine. Just not good at all. I got the Huckleberry special combo, which was a great deal at $ 6.99, but I had GI distress before I even left the restaurant, and sadly, had to visit the grungy bathroom. I get nauseated just thinking about it again. Mr. M ordered the biscuits & gravy with a side of bacon and red potatoes. The bacon was fine but the potatoes were swimming in oil and the B & G were like eating a piece of cake. I tried them and one bite was enough. He made it about 10 miles from the restaurant before his GI distress hit. We both felt sick for hours. Never again.

You’ll be sure to find fast and friendly service here. Be mindful though the wait can be long ESPECIALLY on Sundays! Those beignets!!! Whenever I come here I always order them! So crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! But I do recommend ordering them as plain vs with fruit toppings cause then they would be too sweet!

Any joint that can make my grumpy Pop smile, MUST have something FABULOUS goin’ on! That guy is EXTREMELY hard to please! Found at the west end of the Raley’s Supermarket strip mall, it is literally a different world inside once you walk through their doors. Its like being transported to the land of Mark Twain, Tom Sawyer, & Huckleberry Finn, which is a welcome change to the blandness of the area. Things are REALLY hopping here on the weekends. Small waiting zone is PACKED, but the dining area is large enough that turnover is quick and we’ve never felt frustrated about the wait. They even display props Sheryl Crow gave in the Wait Zone. Staff is quite friendly as we were welcomed by all we passed on the way to our table. So, we ordered a few things… *“BUTTERCRISP” BELGIANWAFFLE: GEEWHIZ!!! Didn’t know Huckleberry was servin’ this TASTY a WAFFLE!?! It’s downright perfect with a light & fluffy inner texture and a slightly crisp exterior… YUM! If ya dig waffles like me & my Pops, this one’s for you! ‘Nuff said. *CORNEDBEEFHASH&EGGS: Classic canned style hash. Comfort food in my fams, and they crisp it just right, as requested. Throw in crisp hash browns & yummy eggs? Whoa boy! Ya had me at «corned.» Gah! *CRABCAKEBENEDICT: This was an unexpected find in the menu, and ABSOLUTELY delicious! Yummy crispy batter covers a nice heap of tasty crab. I’ve had delish crab cakes in Baltimore, MD. THIS could easily hold its own there. Poached eggs run just right and avocados slices complement well. NOM Nom! *SAWYERSFAVORITE: My lil man sat in the corner & went straight Ninja on this thang! Despite its impressive size, it did not stand a chance against this growing boy who silently killed it! Before I could even think about a bite, it was GONE! Thick juicy patty, crisp bacon, and generous drop of grilled mushrooms with crisp crinkle fries makes this his ideal last meal ever ;) *JUNIORWAFFLE&FRUIT: Same adult waffle but half size. Fruit was fresh & sweet. No complaints by Munchkin, made this disappear quick! *HUCK’S KID’S COMBO: My lil light eater likes to be different from the group and searches for French Toast. You can tell when the«toast» is yums based on how long it sits on his plate. This was gonzo quick! MUST have been good! *HUCK’S SWEETCREPES: Waitresses always say, «Good choice!» when we order this. The cream cheese is light in consistency and not overwhelming in quantity. My sista enjoys this tasty dish. *BEIGNETS: Light & fluffy, yummy in its own right. But throw in some ice cream?!? Food coma fur sure!!! This place is firing on all cylinders!!! Great attentive service despite it looking like max capacity up in here!(Attn Management: MINDY is AWESOME!!) Food is absolutely a delight to consume! Cool vibe inside… Oh, I gots nothing but love for this place. EASY brunch recommendation ;)

Huckleberry’s is right off Highway 80 in the Raley’s shopping center on the opposite side of the highway from Solano Mall. Huckleberry’s looks a lot like Black Bear or even Lucille’s BBQ with a rustic interior and sheet metal roofing. The menu’s are printed up like a small newspaper just like Black Bear as well. Breakfast, burgers, sammies and salads make up the menu of this place which closes at 2pm. We tried a made to order omelet and a steak sandwich. The omelet was only a two egg omelet so it was on the small side. You are able to sub bread for a short stack of sweet crème pancakes for a measly .75 extra. My sammie had a funny name like Dixie Land Drizzle or something like that. Basically it was garlic toast with strips of new york steak, onion strings and cheddar cheese. The sammie had an incredible crunch and was quite tasty. I chose chili as my side order and it was very good. I think the chili is home made as it had fresh beans, tomatoes and meat with a nice little spicy kick at the end. We also tried the Huckleberry Swamp Tea which is raspberry iced tea with a good amount of huckleberries inside a sugar rimmed mason jar. The drink comes with a spoon to fish out the huckleberries and snack on them. Overall, I like this place better than Black Bear. The food is a mix of fresh and frozen so it is up to you to figure out what sounds good. My go to breakfast«country fried steak» was frozen so I didn’t order it. I am guessing that the 1⁄3 lb burgers are probably pretty good here and the fact you can get that delicious chili as your side makes them sound even better, for next trip of course :)

Not great, but solid good. I think I could say that I’m a fan here. Late breakfast(for me at least — I’m still on Eastern time), I didn’t have to wait for a table or to place my coffee order. When she came back with the coffee, I chose the Louisiana omelet. It’ stuffed with cheese and shrimp and topped with sliced avocado. Different enough when I didn’t want to be carbed down with pancakes or biscuits. The omelet was nicely cooked and well stuffed. It was the red skinned potatoes that were excellent. Perfectly cooked, they were really the best part of this plate. Good service. If they had wifi, it wasn’t working today.
