Best coffee ever! This place is a world unto its own. Thank you for the great brew. Great beans and great service.

Great coffee. Atmosphere is fun, but space is limited. Baristas know more about coffee than the average barista & customer service is fantastic. Definitely worth going to.

Service is friendly and the COFFEEISFANTASTIC. I try to snag a half pound of their fresh-roasted coffee for my morning French press every week. The first time I walked in, the staff helped me learn the best way to brew using a French press and we tried a flight of coffees to find our favorite. The variety and freshness of their coffee is unrivaled by any place in SE Michigan!

Hands down: the best coffee in the area. In fact, family across the country have been ecstatic to receive Chazzanos coffee beans for presents. If you love the aroma and taste of coffee, Chazzanos is a must.

Outstanding staff, atmosphere, and coffee! I’ve been a regular for over a year. The French press is their signature style, but try the vacuum siphon. Make sure you bring your book and stay a while.

It’s simply the best coffee around. They have a phenomenal choice of beans and the employees know about each one. Ask about a coffee bean and you will get an answer — never a blank stare. It’s clear everyone is passionate about coffee here. They offer a variety of brewing methods, but to me, nothing is better than sharing a french press with a friend. You can’t go wrong here if excellent coffee is what you desire. I have ushered many friends here and they have all loved it.

Most delicious coffee ever. Like most. Ever. They have weird hours. The workers are super friendly which is a surprise because at super specialty places like this I expect them to be snobby. I don’t have a grinder and they never look at me like I’m some kind of coffee poser for asking to have it ground. Now, they don’t have any flavored coffees, they don’t believe in that. I recently started making my own cold brew and they were great at asking about what flavors I like in my coffee and recommending one that worked out great for me. The pounds of coffee are surprisingly not a billion $ like you might imagine!

I’ve tried going here a few times, but it was always on the weekend. Come to find out the owners are very jewish, so they are closed on Saturdays, and have some different holidays they celebrate, which can make for some different hours than expected. Timing out of the way, these people know how to roast and brew a cup of coffee! All of the team seems really knowledgeable about the product and is happy to talk to you about it and why they do things the way they do. Both times I went in I did a barista’s choice on my coffee since I couldn’t make up my mind. The first time I had a straight coffee, and the second time I had an americano. Both were strong and I could actually pick up on the described flavors that they said were typical of that roast. Superb coffee at very reasonable prices? Sign me up.

Great beans from all over South America, with plenty of choices on how to have your coffee brewed. Tiny café style seating and always welcomed as you walk in the door. A friendly atmosphere, but also pretty quite if you are looking for a place to drink coffee and do work. Understandably rated the best coffee in the Detroit area for the last few years.

Every single time the coffee is perfect! I love this place on all levels! If you truly want the freshest coffee and fresh beans, this is the only place to go! No one can make a iced cappuccino like they can & you won’t get any fresher roasted beans anywhere else.

I could just stand in here and smell the deliciousness all day long!!! It’s such a cute little shop. The baristas are knowledgeable, fast, and friendly. There is quite a variety of blends and beans so if you are unsure what you like, they will certainly help you — so don’t be shy to ask. I went in here a while back to get some gifts for family that was from the up north and I was glad I did. My family still raves how fresh the coffee is. I got mugs, coffee, and scoops all under $ 50 for 5 people. It’s also great to shop local for businesses like these. Everyone is so friendly and you are more than welcome to sit down for coffee and chat with friends without feeling like you have to whisper. The only downside is the parking is very narrow and small. So, it’s not the easiest to park. But, overall it’s a awesome spot to hang out other than chain coffee places.

The staff was very eclectic. I guess they could have had warmer personalities, but I think this coffee place is doing the coffee thing right. I have a feeling that they really know all about coffee, so that’s good to know.

My favorite local roasting company. Lots of single origin choices daily with the occasional treat of a rare coffee. Prices are competitive and they offer 10% off when you reuse your coffee bag. Love sitting inside for a cup of coffee. A little small but it has a Cheers atmosphere. The times I’ve been in, I always find myself in a conversation with a stranger there. Very friendly all around. Ask lots of questions if you want to learn about coffee. The staff knows their stuff and are enthusiastic about coffee.

Absolutely an amazing spot! The seating is very limited. Also, it takes a while to get your coffee/tea, but let me tell you why: because they pour their souls into your cup. They brew to perfection, and they really take time to craft the perfect cup for you. Also, the baristas were really engaging and fun to be around. It seemed a bit pricey, but considering the quality, it balances out. Definitely one of the best coffee shops I’ve been to.

Wow, I thought I had good coffee before, but after having a latte today, I don’t think I can go back. There is a large selection of different beans and after picking the one you want, they will grind the beans fresh right in front of you and make your coffee. It doesn’t get better than this! It is reasonably priced(cheaper and wayyyy better than Starbucks but of course more expensive than making your own coffee). I found my new coffee fix!

Get a pound of coffee beans from Chazzanos, you can bring the bag back for 10% off your next bag of coffee. I suggest getting a pound bag since it is more versatile and you can get a half pound in the pound bag. Staff is extremely knowledgable and if you aren’t used to gourmet coffee they will try and figure out what you like and suggest something. I just wish they would explain to customers asking for cream/milk or sugar why they should try the coffee with out those first before adding it to the coffee. It can get a little packed with people with laptops, which is annoying when you are just trying to have a conversation or meet up with friends and someone is camped out. They do not serve food or bakery items, which sometimes you just want a muffin and a coffee. They are closed on saturdays due to religious reasons with the owner, which I respect. The owner is also nice and says hello to customers when he is in.

This place has great coffee! Which is why I give it 4 Stars. I would have given it 3 Star rating due to them never being open when I want a delicious Pick me Up, but I just have to learn their hours of operation, I guess. The staff is very informative. It’s almost criminal, they keep you at that counter forever listing the subtle flavor differences between each brew, but it is damn good coffee. And although they condemn cream in the coffee. They will add it to your cup without 30 lashes or angels dying. Check them out sometime, if the timing is right!

Don’t call yourself a «coffee lover» until you’ve been to Chazzano. The owner, Frank, is the ultimate coffee lover and he shares it with every patron. He’s passionate about a fresh roast and even when he’s stocking it on shelves of local retailers, he won’t let it sit there more than a few weeks. Seriously, if you let yourself soak up his wisdom, you might never go to a national chain again. Drinking Chazzano coffee is almost life changing. Try drinking for the cycle. Try coffee made in a vacuum siphon. Plan a cupping party with friends.
