Applebee’s

I was hoping for something better. I guess I was suckered by the advertisements. Service was slow and food did not came out as ordered. Will not go back.

Ok, memorial day, late afternoon, hardly anyone in the restaurant, we were quickly seated, then, no service, ever! ! We finally walked out, spoke to the manager after a wait for her, so sorry, walked over to Cracker Barrel. Lesson learned.

Our business ordered lunch online and the boxes to be populated asked what type of vehicle and what color. When I arrived and parked in the to-​go parking, I sat there for 20 minutes waiting for the food. This is after waiting 15 minutes before leaving and it taking 15 minutes to get there. About 4 employees entered and exited the to go door. Not one approached me to inform me that they did not have curb side service during that time frame. It was when I called in to the restaurant to inform them my boss was wondering how much longer it was going to take that I was informed. I then enter the building and go to the bar as instructed, the bartender never once looks my way. (They were not that busy) After a while of standing there a waitress approaches me and asks if the bag of food on the bar was mine, I replied I’m not sure. She said well if you already paid just sign your receipt and if you have questions see the bartender. How is anyone to know that! Customer Service seems none existent anymore!

Not impressed and wont go back. Wrong food came out, Bartender had no personality and we ordered 2 soups at the same time, one came out really hot and then 5 minutes later the other one came out cold. Food also had no taste. Only thing good was the bottled beer.

Have had terrible experiences when going for the dinner rush, under cooked food, hair wrapped around my chicken and slow service but if you go when it’s not busy everything is what you would expect at an Applebee’s

I have never written a review. First one & I think needed. I have never been a fan of this place-​the food to me is like a hair above fast food. But I figured I’d give it another shot. Fourth and last time I will ever walk into one of these crap holes. Ok on a Monday around 1:30 pm not busy, but you would think so as long as it took somone to come to the table-​oh after we are seated by an old lady that shouldn’t be doing the job because she was obviously lost. Took twenty minutes to get a draft beer after I ordered it. Never asked my wife if she wanted a refill on her tea… the food which was a turkey sandwich sand some nachos-​NOT a steak or anything that should take a long time took twenty five minutes to get of course by then I was in need of another beer that I never seen because no one came back. I stopped somone and asked for a beer and again nothing-​until we were just about done with our lunch somone else came and asked if I was waiting on a beer – duh!!! Not now we are ready for the check. All of the staff that were supposedly taking care of us sucked very badly… they were slow, appeared lazy and non caring. I will never set foot in this or any Applebee’s after today. But especially the one on Front Royal. And I feel sorry for the people that decide to make this their lunch or dinner spot. The one beer that I was lucky enough to get was good and cold… that’s the only reason for one star-​actually a monkey could pull a tap and get me a beer so they don’t even deserve that. Step up your quality on your microwaved food & replace your staff with some eager caring professionals who belong in that position and it would be better. Even took a long time to get my check… and the register was right behind our booth – she must have been playing tic tac toe or some shit back there. Completely horrible sad shitty time. Never again. Never again!

Well it was disappointing, no lettuce, tomato or mayo on the so called classic burger. The frys were a bit gross but edible. Berry sangia taste like coolaid and the Martin’s didn’t have a top shelf option so you can imagine. The nachos shredded beef were pub worthy but stay clear of the gross potstickers. No desire for dessert at all.

I’ve been here a few times. Service is hit and miss. Late night bartenders are lazy. In the area it’s one of a very few places to grab a bite to eat in the later hours of the night.

Always a great place to take the family for dinner. The service is pretty good and the food is very consistent. Have never had a bad experience there yet.

Ive been to this particular Applebees a few times and its the same everytime. The service is terrible. The wait staff is friendly, but it takes a good 20 to 30 min to even get your drink order in. Expect to wait another 30 min more for your food to come out once ordered. When you look around you see most of the staff goofing off and chatting with each other rather than serving their tables and staying on top of things. The food is just OK in my opinion and is rarely hot when it finally gets to your table. Save yourself the trip and time and eat elsewhere.

I’ve been here several times, some really good and some not so good experiences. However tonight was horrible. Food wasn’t prepared like it should’ve been and took forever to come out. Also the service was awful. Waitress seemed friendly at first but she was not attentive and acted like she didn’t even want to deal with us. She obviously did not want to be there. Chances of me ever going back are slim to none.

Fiesta Chicken Chopped Salad is amazing! Get that with a cup of the Chicken Tortilla Soup and you’ll be in heaven!

This is by far the worst Applebees I’ve ever been to. The service is terrible and the food is mediocre at best. After ordering a tall beer I was brought a small which wasn’t a big deal until they took my dirty glass 15 mins later and filled it half way up with what im assuming was the rest of my tall beer? My wife and I have tried this place numerous times and are more and more disappointed every time we leave. Needless to say we will never be dining here again.

The service was good and the food was really good. I came on a weekend so it was pretty busy and so it took quite some time to get my food, but it was still a good experience over all. I would go back for sure.

I went here for dinner last night with my 3 children mind you it was a Thursday so not extremely busy! We were seated rather quickly and we ordered our app and it came and the portions have seems to become alot smaller and the prices alot bigger. Anyway, my children received their entrees and so did I. I noticed on top of my Chicken and pasta Alfredo were chopped ICE COLD tomatoes. I picked them off because there was ALOT of them and I began to cut up my chicken which in turn was ICE COLD. I told the waitress that I wanted a new plate of food which she did bring me. When she brought it out you could tell there was no cheese on the pasta and chicken ITS CALLED THREE CHEESE CHICKEN PENNE for a reason. The noodles were over cooked and there was VERY VERY light sauce. I ate a couple bites and said screw it this is gross. I told the waitress and she asked if I wanted something else I said «No, at this point it would be stupid if both THESE plates were wrong and or gross» So all in all the kids enjoyed their food I went without dinner and I wasn’t happy with the food.
Will not be going back there again!

Crapplebee’s. ‘Nuff said.

It’s Applebee’s! Being a large chain, I feel more inspired to comment on what may differentiate this Applebee’s from others.
(a) It is bright with spacious isles.
(b) It has televisions in every direction, which can be a bit distracting.
© They have portable sound boxes that you can get to bring to your table, so as to be able to hear what is playing on any particular television. Unfortunately, the sound boxes can be turned up FAR TOO LOUD which makes for a bit of disruption if the child at the next table wants to deafen themselves with Spongebob.
(d) Try to avoid being seated at the tables around the bar. The bartender is responsible for them and I swear, they overwork that guy. He does his best but it makes for some very slow service.
(e) They have the hot bacon dressing that other Applebee’s list on their menus but always seem to claim is «out.» That stuff is awesome. I always guessed that the other Applebee’s were just too lazy to actually heat the stuff.
(f) This Applebee’s does NOT smell like pee. I really hate to say that, but I’ve been to some other local Applebee’s with some frequency and they have a seriously pungent aroma, like if you went into the restaurant in the dark with a bluelight, you would see all sorts of horrible bright splotches. This Applebee’s is SPOTLESS. (If you own the Applebee’s at Fair Lakes or Falls Chuch, please steam clean your carpets! Omg! Do it now! Rinse and repeat!!)
(g) Like many other restaurants, the hostess just loves to seat us adjacent to another group, regardless of how many open seats there are. I know its convenient for waiters to have tables next door to one another, but really, if you have enough space then hostesses should (and in fine dining, do) leave at least one open space between groups. If you’re a social butterfly or have really great hearing, this should be fine with you. But I like to have a modicum of privacy in my dining.
So, the above being said, you know what you’re getting at Applebee’s. Decent food, decent prices. Good sweet tea.

Now I remember why I don’t go to Applebee’s. I had the triple play or what not, with 3 appetizers together for a meal. My mini burgers were OK, the mini chicken sandwiches were dry and tasteless, and my spicy thai chicken tenders were a 3 at best. My dad had the Fajitas, and thought they were good. I tried a piece of the meat and found it average with little flavor. The service was great though… however, the food is a bigger deal when I’m rating a place I have only been to once. If you have to stop in Fort Royal like we did… try the Friday’s across the street.
