This location is much smaller than the RR location and much harder to find stuff bc I’m just not used to it… not their fault, but mine, lol. The wine is all on the right, the hard stuff is all on the left and has the Ross/tj maxx exit style where there are all lined up on 1 big desk. I’m sure the same stuff just in a smaller qty.

If I had to pick one word to describe this store it would be lackluster. From the service to the selection, everything about this store is less than average.

If I could give Jamie alone more than 5 stars I would. I love a particular brand of wine and while I was looking he asked if I needed any help. Ive been wanting to try a new wine because mine is getting harder to find, so I decided to ask for his advice. He immediately took me over to some wines he thought I may enjoy from looking at the bottle that I was buying. We had a conversation for several minutes and I really felt like he genuinely wanted to help me. So happy I stopped in after work and I will definitely be back. For being a smaller store it was very clean and organized, the employees were extremely helpful/knowledgable, and they had a pretty good selection of harder to find wines and Austin beers.

Spec’s is okay, but I was really looking for a great selection of local and Texas craft beer. Maybe they have so much domestic, GMO, B-M-C for the locals. Hope Austin beer drinkers mature their beer tastes soon. Did find some fantastic Independence brews. Selection was just as good, possibly better, at HEB. :-(

Great location. Close to home and work. They have a lot of different kinds of rum to choose from. It will take me a long time to try them all. So far my favorite is Pyrat rum. :-) Employees are always nice and friendly, and can often steer me in the right direction when wanting to try something new. My only gripe… is the food selection. I was wanting to get some snacks and cheeses for a dinner party, and was disappointed in the very small selection. I have been to several different Specs locations, and have enjoyed their huge variety of cheese, chocolates, and salty snacks. I know this location is much smaller, but there is a market here in Gtown for those items.

After being blown away by the Mopac Spec’s last week, I decided to check out«my» Spec’s in G-Town. It’s smaller, for sure, but a lot of the same cool stuff. No bacon, PBJ, or Buffalo Wing soda, but there was Moxie. No Stroh’s 160 proof rum, but there was Pusser’s Blue. No half-dozen sample demos, but there was one– a great moonshine and whickey purveyor from right here in Texas. No complaints. For being in the new Golden Radius, this is a decent Spec’s and I’m happy that it’s ¾ of a mile from Casa Shoehead.

Nice employees that have good knowledge! And offer too order a 6pak for me just because they can! Good small food as well along with a hundred’s off different kinds of beer and wine. Many good choices with some being pricey but they have very rare beers sometimes. You get what you pay for and more! A great place for people wanting to expand their sense off taste!

As the largest liquor store in G’town, if you can’t find it here, you’re not getting it in Georgetown. This is a very large, well stocked store. Employees are helpful and eager to help you find what you’re looking for. Unlike the other reviewer, however, I was not given any discount for paying with cash. But I’ll definitely ask about it next time!

Staff at Spec’s is always very helpful and willing to offer suggestions for wine, beer, and cigars. This specific Spec’s is a lot smaller than some of the other ones. A nice option if they don’t have what you need, ask to see if they can order it. Discount if pay with cash or debit.
