I went to Ihop with a party of four, barely saw our waiter, and was surprised to see how much the bill was at the end. After arriving and being seated, we waited fifteen minutes before we were given water, followed by orders not being written down and after requesting the order we had originally placed but was never brought, we were charged twice for one order. At the end, our bill should have been at least forty dollars, however, we were surprised to see our order bill came out to a whopping seventy nine dollars after being charged gratuity three times as well as service charge, upon added orders we never received. The waiter knew what he was doing and when we asked for separate checks, told us they updated their systems to a new software that does not allow the waiter to change the bill to be separate after being placed as one whole check. We later found out he had done this to secure three gratuity charges as well a service charge. The waiter also never gave us the option to have separate checks and gave us attitude about not having asked for separate checks before he placed the bill in the computer as one whole check. My experience ranging from not being serviced, to when we finally got service it being terrible, was an overall horrible experience, a waste of time, and money. I HIGHLY recommend eating somewhere else where you do not have to argue with a manger about the bill and their incompetent waiters.

It’s been quite awhile since we’ve been back and I have to agree wit most of the reviewers here: the service has really gone downhill. When we first came to our table to get something to eat, the table was extremely sticky. It took us at least 10 to 15 minutes for him to get back to clean it. And they were not busy. They also had a special of all you can eat fries. If you like a ton of salt on your Fries, you will enjoy them. I had to ask for two orders before I got edible fries. We had a hamburger and a patty melt. I have to admit it was extremely good, done well and tasty! But sometimes the experience gets ruined by the little things. The waiter was very nice, though. And he was the only one on. But again, there was only three stations filled with customers. We have gone here many times and liked it. This was the first time it wasn’t a pleasurable experience.

I have been going to this Ihop since I was a little girl and I still say it’s the best one yet…

The IHOP that has no maple syrup! Also no ketchup in bottles so they bring your table of 4 adults 3 packets and expect that to be okay. Oh and I don’t appreciate your busboy making remarks about my party in Spanish — my native language. How on earth is this place open? I dined in on 3÷20÷16 and it’s like they don’t know how to handle a Sunday morning. I really hope they switch up management, if they don’t, save your time and don’t go here.

Why bother to have posted hours, when you close whenever you want. Went there on a Friday night at 10pm, they have posted hours saying that they are open till midnight, and yet the doors are locked. If you don’t want to stay open that late then you should just change your posted hours. It’s not that hard.

This restaurant has been so bad at service for so long it’s absolutely amazing they are still open. Management is so incompetent it’s actually unbelievable. Never go here.

Food was typical IHOP fare. I had an skillet and most of the shredded cheese wasn’t melted. A little odd given how long it took to get the food. Still tasted good and I was happy that they had cholula sauce. I forgot how good their pancakes and warm Maple syrup tasted. My kids went wild for the different kinds of syrups on the table including blueberry and strawberry(yuck!) Kids meals don’t include a drink(but it is only an extra 1.50). Service was very very slow. Nice but slow. Also a little girl who was about 7 years old kept popping her head out of the back so on several occasions lively Spanish music was pipped into the room. If I was a college kid with a hangover, I wouldn’t have appreciated but since I was eating with two small kids, I love noise coming from any direction but my table!

We came on a Friday night to celebrate my mother’s birthday. My parents had warned me about how the service had degraded over the past year, but they wanted to go due to a coupon. We arrived between 5 pm — 5:30 pm to a totally empty restaurant. We were seated right away. Our server was a bit unpolished but pleasant.(What do you expect from IHOP?) I had the garden omelet with a side of pancakes. The omelet was gigantic and very filling. It had a lot of crisp vegetables and lots of cheese. The pancakes were good as well. They came out hot and were fluffy. My sister had a turkey sandwich. To be honest, it looked kind of pathetic, but who am I to judge? I come from the school of going to IHOP for breakfast food exclusively. No other customers arrived during our time there. We actually felt bad for the waitstaff since they had multiple people there but no customers. Hopefully, more people showed up during the night. We did agree that service has improved over time.

So warm in here! It was so hot out so why they did not turn up the air and just few tables! It was about 2 in the afternoon! Turn on the fan so no air condition on? Why? Table is so sticky! The waiter has no smile at all! Pancake is hard!

This is not the IHOP of my middle school memories. This is delicious IHOP. This is IHOP with a brand new menu. And also IHOP devoid of the nice old ladies that used to staff the one that I visited, and replaced with waiters who apparently couldn’t care less about how much you want a refill…

not deserving of a 1 star review — deserved a ZERO star! awful experience as a mother on mother’s day. AWFUL service or lack of service. waited 1 hour for food and while we wait we didn’t see our waiter anywhere. Got told by their rude ignorant manager that they have a NOWATERPOLICY — meaning we don’t get served with water unless you asked for water(how can we ask for water when the server was nowhere to be found); but then we heard other waiters asking their clients if they need anything — they are rude and prejudice. DONOTCOME to this establishment.

This is by far the worst IHOP I have been to. It took about 20 minutes just to get our order taken. Then 30 minutes go by and still no food. Usually by that time I’m all done eating. Food finally came out and it was cold all that time waiting and at least it could have been hot. Never going there ever again.

We came back this afternoon for lunch because I did not want to waste my two-fer that would self-destruct into a wisp of smoke like in some goofy sci-fi movies(like In Time, for instance). Unfortunately, something IS wrong at this IHOP. We arrived at about noon and the place was moderately busy(20% occupied), and we took a seat. We were provided menus but no water. Then fifteen minutes passed, and nobody came to take our order. I saw one waitress shooting the bull with people seated at a booth opposite of us, but she did not wait on us, nor acknowledge us. Finally, I got urinated off and showed my wife my wristwatch(mine is a Timex, sort of like a Rolex, but it is fancier), and declared that we would leave if nobody showed up at our table within a minute. After 52 seconds transpired, our server appeared: saved from a calamity with only 8 seconds to go. Do you remember the James Bond movie in which he stopped a nuclear detonation with only 007 seconds to go? The waiter said he was busy and was working on eight tables simultaneously. That still does not excuse him(or the other staff) from ignoring us. We ordered sandwiches: Mrs B asked for fries on the side and I asked for hash browns on the side. The waiter did address our request for beverages promptly — and then disappeared in the ether. While waiting for our orders, I noticed that many of the other diners were sitting patiently waiting for service, their checks, or something else; and the entire wait staff once again disappeared. About 15 minutes later, our guy came back with our entrees. Mrs. B pointed out to him that she ordered french fries, and he had given her onion rings. I also reported that I wanted hash browns, and I got french fries. He did come back with the correct side dishes. I am really not too picky, but I don’t know what’s going on there — or NOT going on there; but I can only speculate that they are experiencing management problems, staffing challenges, or they are trying to save money by cutting back on service personnel.(I noticed one busboy was taking orders at some of the tables.) This was once a very nice place, but something has gone haywire. I will report this issue to «M». From Glenview with Love, 008

The time I walked in no customer service greeting then it took 10 minutes to have a service for a drink and I have to call someone if we have a server and the attitude of the server is bad so if you have a community breakfast restaurant to go then go there !!!

I visited IHOP on 2÷15÷15 around 9:30 am and when I walked in I noticed the restaurant had no heat. The server seated us without letting us know and there was no sign on the door. People were complaining and nobody seemed to care. I found out for sure the heat was broken when another family walked in and asked why it was so cold. The manager said the heat was out. I am stunned they would allow the restaurant to be open and put their customers and employees through this. DineEquity will be hearing about this.

Absolutely dead after nightfall. No atmosphere, no nothing. My order came out incorrectly, and I discovered a spot of mold on the bottom of my toast. Yuck.

I cringed when my rep asked me to meet him at IHOP for breakfast. He said, «Don’t worry dude. No one can mess up breakfast. You’ll be ok.» IHOP can, which is why I avoid this place, always. While the service wasn’t bad, the bacon was limp, poorly microwaved, and looked nasty. The hash browns should be called grease tators and the eggs were edible. Still, this is about as low grade of a breakfast as you can get. It looked poor and tasted worse.

This is my favorite IHOP in the Chicagoland area. The staff is always friendly, the restaurant is clean, the food is great and the area is surrounded with great shopping. Free refills on Iced Coffee! What more could you as ask for!

This is the best IHOP I have ever been to. Very clean, and professionally managed. By no means are they beating the door down with Walker Brothers, but they give you a good bang of the buck. Personally I like their side of pancakes better than Walker brothers. And the tri fold style of omelettes are more to my liking. Another thing I really like about this place, they will let you pick where you sit. I scan and look for the quite area. Which always makes me happy.
