Came here with my Chinese coworker who was visiting us for two weeks. She did enjoy the authenticity of the food — I loved every bit of it too! The tofu is amazing, The staff is relaxed and it’s a great no-hurry weekday dinner.

My experience here was ok. It started out fine when I tried the hot and sour soup and it was really good. Had lots of spice which I liked. Then the rest of the meal went downhill. I also got the lettuce wraps and kung pao beef. It did take a while for the lettuce wraps to come to the table. As for the actual lettuce wraps they were nothing special. The kung pao beef was not that great either. It didn’t have much flavor or spice. It basically tasted like beef tossed in soy sauce and just a hint of spice which I couldn’t taste. Also, there were only two waitresses working when I went there so it took very long to get the check even though the machine was right by my table. It took about 10 minutes and I was so glad to get out of there after.

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants on the North Shore. Authentic flavors, reasonable prices, great service, and friendly staff. I have eaten here for years and have never been disappointed by any item ordered. The food is always fresh and delicious. There hot & sour soup is really good and the staples like Mongolian Beef & Szechwan Shrimp are awesome! I really like their Double fried noodles with seafood as well as their Ma Po Tofu(extra spicy of course). This is a not to be missed restaurant.

Ordered two soups delivery, and they sent one. Called and asked about the other soup, and they said it was a large and was two orders. It was a very small soup, certainly not two orders. Further found an order receipt for one soup(and a lower cash amount than I paid) in the bag. Called them and they said, «we have no one available to deliver.» These folks aren’t honest.

Disappointed. We are still searching for a good asian carryout place in the neighborhood. We ordered orange beef and governors chicken. Both lacked flavor and spice. Even the eggroll was bland.

So had to grab a quick meal before a meeting. I assumed chicken fried rice would be nice choice, however the order came out extremely quick and I also noticed how bland it was. Worse part was that they used two types of meat which means they recycled some other dish to make it. One type of chicken was darker and sweeter, while the others were cut flatter and lighter. Sorry, really gross, will not be back unfortunately.

Came here on a rainy day thinking I’d order a bowl of hot noodle soup. After waiting for 5 minutes with no servers approaching us, a lady finally walked over and said they’re closed due to a party(and let me tell you, she was not friendly). Yeah, it was a party with maybe 3 – 4 tables. Never dined in here, and after today’s experience, I’d never come back again.

Nice people, good food, excellent service. Had the Won Ton soup and Beef Chow Fun with homemade noodles. Great flavors. Hit the spot! Driving from O’Hare to Milwaukee. Would definitely stop again.

Best Chinese food around. They have authentic and not authentic Chinese food. They cater to whatever you feel like eating. Spicy.. Mild… sweet… love this place! Staff is friendly and nice. Owners are usually there too. Sweet couple.

Solid but pricey. I have a 4 star minimum requirement but that proved difficult for Chinese, so I went off photos. We got chicken fried rice, 2 egg rolls, and Thai basil chicken for $ 27(carry out). The portions are normal and not your typical overload with leftovers for days. It was a lighter meal, which was refreshing for the cuisine. Not greasy! The chicken in the rice was tender and not gristly or fatty. The Thai dish could have used more sauce and flavor. Overall I’d go again, but I need to be a bit more«wow’ed» to get the 4 stars.

Probably the best Chinese restaurant in the North Shore. Will do for when older Chinese relatives insist on eating Chinese food and it’s not possible to get to Chinatown, Yu’s, or Chef Ping. My in-laws visit us each weekend since the baby was born and they prefer Chinese food… so we order take out from here at least once a week. It’s a bit pricey but the quality and packaging is good. After eating take out from here exclusively for 6 months, we finally were brave enough to bring the baby to the restaurant and enjoy a meal on-site. Of course, freshly prepared food is even better than take out. We were very pleased. I deducted a star because I am not sure what makes this place«Szechwan» style… the dishes seem typical of any Chinese restaurant and not particularly mouth tingly spicy like Szechwan dishes ought to be. Also the hot & sour soup is pretty disappointing, it is not hot/spicy, just sour. You get a free soup when you dine in. Employees are nice and service is good.

I’ve eaten here a few times. The owner is the real deal. Her and the husband have been in this business for 40yrs or better. This place runs like a clock. Enjoy!

Food was decent, but service was the worst I have ever seen. The waitress only showed up to bring out the food and to take our order. No water was refilled unless we tracked her down and asked for it. It was 8:50pm(ten minutes before they close) and were still eating and she brought out our check and started to take away our plates. She came back in a few minutes and said we needed to pay now because they are closed. I have never been urged to get out of a restaurant like this before. It ruined our night and will never come back. If you want people out by nine, close at 8 or 8:30pm. Horrible guest services.

I ordered The Asian curry chicken– We had two different orders and I couldn’t tell which one was basil and which one was curry. Chicken was tender. But BOTH entrees were terribly void of flavor. No spice– I added my own cayenne because that’s what was available. Our second time there and that’s it. No more.

Actually this place has good Chinese food. Service is very surly but if you can get past that and try enjoying the food then you’ll probably be able to enjoy your dinner here otherwise there’s always take-out. The hostess/owner is not pleasant at all and can’t even crack a smile. She’ll grab the menus, plop em down on the table and leave you. A waitress soon comes by and guess what – they’re not any better. Immediately they’ll ask are you ready to order? Um, No the hostess just sat us! Anyway, surprisingly enough food here is quite tasty so try it out.

Been coming here for all these years. Not stepping foot in here anymore. Food is decent, expensive for chinese food. Portion is not big. Wait staff is always friendly — 5 stars! But, HORRIBLE management. Ruined my mood every time that I come in or do carry out. I can’t be that desperate for chinese food that I have to hope that stern face manager is off, n she’s never off. I’m only here for the food n business for the restaurant, smile up lady.

Great food! My entire family loves it. We drive all the way from Wilmette for the sesame chicken, even though there are several other Chinese restaurants closer(they are not as good). I have only ever done carry out, but very friendly staff. I highly recommend!

This place has quite possibly the best Chinese food at a sitdown restaurant in the immediate area. It is our families go to for a sitdown Chinese meal with a wonderful service and a nice atmosphere. Located next to a Walgreens in this plaza, this little place is actually quite the dining area and has very tasty food, with fantastic service! We visit at least once every other week. Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed!

The food here is a bit bland, the dishes lack flavor complexity, and the portion sizes are a bit small for the price. Unfortunately, there’s hardly any competition for authentic Chinese food within 15 miles of here. The dining room and décor are nice if you must stay in the area otherwise I’d just make the trip out to Arlington Heights or Skokie/Evanston for better options.
