We went to try the place for brunch. All of the food we had was breakfast at 11 am. That being said, my meal was okay, the potatoes we a bit over cooked. The biscuits and gravy on the other hand. The gravy had sat way to long and was not to our taste. My bread was forgotten until I re. minded the waitress. Maybe try it for lunch, or earlier in the morning.

We went for breakfast this morning. Our daughter ordered a breakfast sandwich off the kids menu. Our waitress wasn’t familiar with kids menu. My husband had order the chicken fried steak breakfast. Our waitress came back a few minutes later saying the«chef» said they were out. Shouldn’t that be something wait staff should be aware of before ordering? After a long wait our food arrives, my daughters breakfast sandwich had a fried egg not scrambled as listed on menu. Again, shouldn’t the«chef» and waitress know it was wrong? We mentioned to our waitress, she replied«I don’t order from kids menu so I don’t know». After getting our check, we waited a long time for our waitress, someone to get our payment, no one came, with wait staff all around, no one came so my husband went up to pay, a wait staff asked to help him, but she had to get our waitress in order to pay. Not going back! Wildwood on its own way better and knowledgeable about menu and professional.

The best chicken fried steak in town bar none. that and the Wildwood potatoes. That is what I always order… They have moved across the street inside Billybobs.

As I was coming back to finish this draft, I realize that since I was last at this lovely breakfast/lunch dining room, it’s been absorbed into the nascar themed greasy spoon joint across the street, Willy’s or Billy’s or something like that. Sad, I went in for lunch and it’s not the Wildwood lunch menu. I think they just serve their breakfast now, in the kitchen of this other restaurant. It was hard to understand the waitress, or she had no idea what I was asking… either way, I had a very boring, cranberry turkey sandwich. My mother had an egg, bacon sandwich. Huge white crusty bread. Not anything I’ll come back for. Really sad about the whole thing, here is what Wildwood used to be: ++++It’s a very understated, simple dining room. Very open space. I went for lunch and had the Wildwood Turkey Melt and the daily soup of bean and ham. I really liked the soup, nothing fancy. The sandwich has turkey, bacon(nice big crispy pieces of bacon!), Swiss cheese…+++++

Six of us met at the Wildwood Café today for a late breakfast/lunch. Service was good and waitress was on top of everything. Food was good Burgers were excellent and the fries were freshly cut potatoes and hot. Many have complained about them. These are not your typical fast food overly processed fair. These are fresh cut potatoes cooked to order. They were excellent. My Wife ordered breakfast and was pleased as well. Definitely will be back.

Food is decent but a bit overpriced for the portion. There was mold growing in the Cantaloupe that was apart of the breakfast. The server was nice tho!

My parents and I stopped here by chance for breakfast and I am so happy we did. Although as mentioned the décor is rather simple, it is very clean the staff is very friendly and the food was excellent!!! All three of us loved our breakfast, we were helped right away and our food came out perfectly. Great location on a cute little main street where you can sit by the window and watch people walk by. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. We’re from out of town and I am sure we will be back!

I am not suprised to see all the bad reviews on this place. It will most likely be out of business soon… we can only hope. They should close thier doors so we can get a good restaurant in there. The food wasn’t good. They served my son a burnt grilled cheese sandwich. Way over priced when I could of made better at home myself. Service wasn’t the worst i’d ever had but I won’t be going back.

Quite literally the WORST restaurant I’ve ever been to. Messed up all the orders, were extremely RUDE with my kids(waitress grabbed a half and half container out of my daughter’s hand and she was just looking at it with my full supervision). Food was terrible, service terrible, and they never made it right. Just took my money. I walked out and told two families who were looking at the menu not to bother because it was terrible. I then wrote a review on Facebook as well. They are terrible. Would never eat here again.

Very average food, for average pricing, not very large portions. If you are hungry and find yourself walking on main street between 3rd&4th I would eat here. The restaurant is very bare bones… everything, including kitchen, in full view. Feels like a big conference room setup for eating.

We stopped in because it seemed cute and not crowded. I guess it wasn’t crowded for a reason. The menu was limited which is fine given that it was a small café. We ordered our food and coffee. After we ordered and while we were waiting for our food several other groups came in ordered and got their food and ate most of it before we got ours. While the waitresses were more than friendly with the people they recognized we were almost ignored. Every one around us got refills on their coffee but not us. We weren’t aknowleded again until the check came and then we were offered coffee. While I give the food a 3 I give the customer service a 2. Unless you are a friend of the waitresses don’t count on good service.

Stopped in for lunch with my kids without checking Unilocal.I wished I would have because it wasn’t anything special and there are lots of other places in the area to try. I was expecting it to be cozier inside… but instead it was very plain and a little awkward… no booths. Food was decent, but nothing special. I probably will never return.

Zero consistency. Friendly staff, worst staff ever. Not enough water refilling — major issue in my eyes for any establishment. High turnover — one of the legacy waitresses has a sour attitude. Good food — bad food from same order. Hardly any vegetarian offerings, and with that I am by no measure vegetarian. I eat tons of meat but this place has meat in everything. I was going to give it 2 stars because I have had a couple of good experiences but that old lady being rude to me just pushed it over the edge.

Pros: good coffee. Friendly staff. Cons: No water refills. Eggs benedict served with a touch of melted butter but not a drip if hollandaise. The ham on the benedict was rancid. Like that tangy sweet smell/taste that spoiled meat gets. We had to send it back and the chef and wait staff insisted it was fine. Frankly I’m going to pass on food poisoning. I won’t be coming back to wildwood.

Stopped in for breakfast after church. Our waitress had a little too much saccharine for my taste but she was attentive enough. My husband ordered the Pork Chops and Eggs. The pork was boneless and NOT overcooked which was nice. The sourdough toast was surprising because it was one slice cut in half and stacked on a separate plate… could have been two as most restaurants serve. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs. What a surprise! It really was homemade… NOT a product, and NOT deep fried! I have been searching for REAL chicken fried steak ever since Pa’s Kettle closed/changed hands. Finally found it today. My poached eggs were perfect. Both plates had one skimpy slice of cantaloupe as color/filler. It would have been better if it was two or three slices. As it was it felt a little pointless. My husband had coffee and the bill came to $ 23 and change. Overall we were pleased and we will return.

Just found this place a few weeks ago and the food is consistently very good. I would highly recommend this quiet, friendly staffed place for some of the best homemade food in Gresham.

Pros: good coffee. Friendly staff. Cons: 1. They served my eggs benedict with no hollendaise. At all. None. When I asked for some they said the chef was making more and they would bring me out a side. Who serves eggs benedicts without the sauce in the first place? 2. The ham on the benedict was rancid. It had that tangy sickly sweet smell /taste of spoiled meat. We sent the dish back. 3. The waitress insisted the meat was good… that the chef tasted it and said it was fine. Good then he can eat it and get food poisoning but I’m good with not eating spoiled meat thank you. 4. Environment totally uninspired. I will not be revisiting wildwood

Take a big room and throw some chairs/tables that look like they are from some old 60s pancake restaurant and ta da –it’s Wildwood Café. The space has no privacy between tables, no booths. The service is what it is. The waitress is very inflexible, curt and seems to just be on auto-pilot. We know this because we were needing to think outside the menu, just a little bit. She was not having it, well not without charging us for every little change/sub. She did not even go in to the kitchen to see if what we were asking for could have been done. It was not busy either so they had that going for them. The menu is traditional American food. You have your breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, frittata, toast. well you get the plot. Then, there’s lunch, sandwiches, burgers, and all the normal American lunch type food. This place seems to be the kind of spot where time has been forgotten here. I just wish it was that kind of spot where you can also get meatloaf with mashers and green peas, that kind of traditional American food. Or at least have some good American apple pie? I got the salmon frittata. They used smoky salmon, not lox like some places. That deserves a ½ star more. The fries are roasted, not fried. They were also flavorless even though healthy. Try a little garlic salt and maybe even some onion? Healthy does not have to be boring. I would say that the after church folks and maybe some folks needing a lunch hour would find a reason to eat here.

I like supporting local businesses and this was one which appeared deserving. I went with a friend for breakfast on a weekend, but it was early and there were many open tables. My friend and I hadn’t seen each other in awhile and we wanted to catch up a bit over our coffee before we ordered food. The waitress was openly irritated that we didn’t order immediately and told us she was going to go sit down and wave her over when we were ready. Her tone was unfriendly and she did exactly what she said she was going to… go sit in the corner with another coworker. When we were finally ready to order we waved her over. When we received our food it was unimpressive-in taste, quality, and portion size. I’ll never go back.

I’ve stopped in here a few times for breakfast. The place feels unfinished like a mess hall; it’s just one open room filled with wooden tables and chairs. It’s clean and bright, having plate-glass windows on two sides of the space. Those big windows are nice in the summer, but are cold and dreary during the winter. It’s never been crowded during any of my visits, so the service was prompt and friendly. I usually order the home fries and a couple of poached eggs. The food is very good and they keep your coffee cup full. If the place had any atmosphere at all, I’d visit more often — you really need to do more than just rent a room, and drag in some tables.
