The food is pretty good, but it’s really expensive. It also takes a really long time to get your food. I noticed I get stared at here, not sure if it’s because I’m not Hispanic or what. Sabor Latino in Pinole is much better.

like everyone else says the prices are too high for the quality and portions. also the dining area isn’t as nice as it should be for these prices. service is so-so. 6⁄10 would recommend.

The food is okay but it’s way overpriced and the staff is rude. My daughter heard the staff, talking in spanish(as if it were some little known language off the coast of Indonesia) about ‘all the fat americans’. They pointed out a few tables of people and were making fun of them in general, not just their weight. that was my final straw. I think they were the only gig in town for a long time and that’s why it’s packed all the time. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because the seafood is good. If you don’t need ceviche, Go to Sabor Latino 17 in downtown Pinole or Taqueria Aguililla in Pinole on Fitzgerald DR near Big Five Sporting Goods, Noah’s Bagels, Luckys. Both places have great food and a welcoming atmosphere. I feel good about paying them, you feel like it’s worth it.

This place good food but it’s pricy that’s why I gave them 2 stars. I wish their establishment would be s but bigger but they do have nice music while your there. Try their chicken green enchiladas. They are pretty good.

This place is pretty good but not enough for me to want to come here on a regular for my Mexican fix. The prices are high for the amount of food they give. Service isn’t very friendly either. Small spot and probably best for you to call ahead for a pick-up order. Very limited seating inside and out. The menu is abundant with different types of burritos, plates, and tacos. They do put lettuce in their burritos which is a first for me. It’s isn’t bad, just different. We ordered 3 burritos and one order of soft tacos, the total bill was $ 42. IMO, that was a bit high for a taqueria joint. I’ve definitely had better food for cheaper. Although I heard they serve micheladas here which is definitely a cure to a hangover!

The mixed sea food fajitas were really good but its a little pricey at $ 20. But overall it’s a pretty good place that I’ve been to more than a few times.

$ 10.75 for a super burrito? I think this has to be the highest price for a super burrito that really isn’t that big. It’s a good burrito, not great. Could use more flavor in the meat. It could also be bigger for the price. Too expensive for the area. Maybe if you were in the Silicon Valley these price might be acceptable. I give it a 5 out of 10.

THISPLACEISWAAAYYYYYYYTOOVERPRICED! I ordered a super burrito and a horchata, and it came out to $ 18? WTF! I been to other burrito spots that tastes wayyyy better and wayyyy cheaper! I don’t even like the taste of Mazatlan’s food. I won’t be going back there any time soon! Adiós Mazalan!!! Honest review! –Poision Ivy

I always find myself coming back to this place to get a nice Mexican meal. Very flavorful, customer service is a hit and miss, foods a bit pricey but its worth it.

Convenient place because there’s not a huge variety of food in that particular area. However it is way overpriced for the menu and atmosphere. The food is average and the staff hasn’t gone out of their way to make me feel welcome on my few trips there. I will go again if I’m craving a quick burrito or taco, and I don’t have time to make it further into the East Bay or Further North.

Didn’t really taste authentic. Nothing exciting. Lacked a lot of flavor and we thought it was overpriced for the quality.

Cool little spot, glad Hercules has a Mexican restaurant. The restaurant itself is pretty small and the line is cramped. Sometimes it’s awkward when you are waiting for your order for take out because you are usually standing in someone’s way. There is an outdoor seating area which is nice. The burritos are ok, I really like the nachos. The food here is a little overpriced but the salsa is tasty.

It’s my fist time here and I wanted to know what is the difference between a Super burrito and a regular burrito. I asked the gal that was helping me and she rolled her eyes with annoyance then said, «it’s just bigger!» Good gracious… rude. It nearly killed my appetite. I should’ve have just left but I was hungry and ordered the regular burrito. Took a bite, and it was alright. Nothing to rave about. Not coming back, because the rude service and over priced food thats okay. Check out Gordos.

The prices are too high for an average mexican meal and the service is deplorable! They charge you for chips and salsa and the chips aren’t even made there. Recently a friend brought over some nachos and there was so much oil on the bottom we could only eat the top half. Step it up Mazatlan you can be so much better. Start with being friendly and grateful that you even have customers… then figure out a way you can make homemade chips, most other mexican restaurants can manage that one.

$ 4.25 for 1 taco? The description is deceiving. They said $ 4.25 for two flour tortilla with shrimp but in reality it’s two tortilla together. The taste left little to boast about. I was already angry about the overcharge. No thanks ever again.

Their fish tacos are made with blackened Salmon. Absolutely delicioso! You can order on flour or corn tortillas. It comes with pico de gallo and cream sauce. I add avocado to mine. Top it off with a bottled Sangria and I’m good to go! Their service has improved a lot. I appreciate coming here.

I have discovered this place this week and I have been there already 3 times. The super shrimp burrito was Yummie and big. I had seen people having the«shrimp cocktail» and I wanted to try it. It’s tiger shrimps, served in a big bowl(big glass actually) and they are in a marinated with tomatoes, lime, cilantro, avocado, onions and chilly. Not too spicy but super tasty and super fresh. It really Worths the price. I’m a big fan of chile relleno, so I came again, and they were just perfect ! Not greasy, not to spicy and a very good taste ! I can only say for now all we have eaten there was fresh, tasty… the price is very reasonable and you can order take away in advance, which is great ! Really a nice spot for cheap but good Mexican food !
