Been here multiple times. Better than other buffets in the area. Good variety and selections. Plenty of parking also.

Food was very fresh and good. First time being here. Big building lots of space for people to walk around not like other buffets. Really good, better than Golden Corral down the street

If I didn’t live so far from this place I’d eat here more often. Best buffet I’ve been to. Usually there’s like a 15 minute wait to be seated but it’s worth the wait. Excellent food at a good price

There is a lot of variety to choose from, since there is no more waitress you can go get your drink your self which is alright I guess because now you can get different drink and stuff and it way faster because they were always busy, but the cups are small so always getting up.

Love the food and used to love the service. Now that they have the do it yourself drink bar it seems they got rid of a lot of their help. Floors were dirty, tables not being cleared, drink bar had a lot of dispensers empty. definitely not like it was !

I’ve been to this restaurant twice. and both times I haven’t been impressed with their food it is very bland. I go to this restaurant just because my grandmother likes it not because I enjoy it.

I’ve been coming here for years… at least four times a year when visiting family. I don’t care for the change in service… After the host takes you to your table, everything is self serve. You have to get your own drinks and in most cases hunt down the hosts to take away the used dishes. I miss when the servers actually takes your drink order and asks if you would like a bake potato(regular or sweet potato) and kept the tables cleaned. The food quality has gone down… I don’t particularly care for the grey over-cooked vegetables. Wood Grill has cut the service to the bone. Look around and you will see a lot of tables that have not been cleaned… full of dirty plates, silverware, etc.(not the most appetizing site). Not to exaggerate but I counted 3 nearby tables in the same unbussed state from when we sat down till we left. When they had servers, the tables were cleaned fairly quickly and filled with people. Wood Grill doesn’t seem as crowded now. If you are waiting to be seated, it’s because they cannot clean the tables fast enough. The Wood Grill used to be a good place to go. I’m not fond of the new environment. I do understand it is a buffet and service will be minimal but Wood Grill has created a new low in service quality. Golden Corral maybe a better place for buffet style restaurants as the service is better and Wood Grill has brought their food quality down to match Golden Corral.

Food was good and fresh but the customer service was great from the ladies at the door to our waitress and they were all so pretty and sweet.

As far as buffets go, this is the best around. The food is always hot, there’s plenty(constantly changing out the trays of food). Most of the food is prepared right where you can see it. Not your ordinary buffet fare. At dinner they have steak that is very good. The servers are right on top of drink refills and clearing used plates.

We went to Wood Grill after my son’s football game. Well, we loved it. Everyone was so nice. Our waitress, Yuri was so attentive. The food was good, flavorful and good quality. There were more than enough options for our athletes. We hope to come again soon. p. s. Don’t change a thing!

Decided to try this place over Golden Corral after seeing how it was voted best Buffet in Victorville. Who did the voting here. Let’s start with the steaks absolutely no seasoning so no flavor, the Ribs Cold who likes that. The cheesy potatoes casserole horrible. The salad bar not to bad but, you get more protein to top of your salad at Corral. Now the Slider Burgers and Quesadilla very good. Mac & Cheese also good. Fried Chicken although good but very small compare to Corral. Dessert is about the same and the service an amount of people eating was nice compare the bid crowds at Corral. What is really bad is the sign at the cashier to limit your time to 2 hours only. Buffet are meant to eat all you can without a limit and no waste of food.

In my opinion, this is the best Buffett in the high desert. They have great tasting food with good flavor. BBQ ribs, steak, shrimp salads, fruits etc. Everything fresh with good flavor. Price wise, is also very good and n comparison to their competitors based on taste to value, it blows competition away. A must try place. Servers and cooks are great also.

I went here for the first time last week with seven other family members. Three of them had been here before, the rest had not. I’m just going to go in order of impressions… I paid for three seniors and one adult. The senior price was $ 13.49, and the adult price was $ 13.99. Really? Fifty cents off for dinner on a week night for seniors? My grandmother’s 91 years old and in a wheel chair — she doesn’t eat THAT much. Okay, so on to the food. Nice salad bar — but I’m not filling up on salad at a buffet. Good selection, though. A few hot meats. Some seafood. My cousin can’t figure what the«au jus sauce» is all about.(She’s not uninformed, it’s just that we can’t find any beef — roast, sliced, or otherwise.) I get some mashed potatoes and gravy(instant meets packaged). Salty, to say the least. The kicker is, my younger cousins(18 and 10 years old) who LOVE pizza, HATED the pepperoni pizza. Yeah. So the employees were awesome, polite, and worked very hard. The restaurant was very clean and had plenty of room. As far as the food quality, though, it was about equal to frozen or fast-food takeout — and NOT worth the price in my opinion. I’m not going to mention specific names, but there are other buffet options up here that might cost a few dollars more but have better quality and selection.

Ok, so there a many buffet places out there that promise good food and variety. I must say that for the price and variety this is one of the better places I have been to. They have chicken, pasta, steak, turkey, salads, veggies, fruit, desserts and soups. The taste, most things I tried were good. As with most family buffets, the quality is sometimes lacking, but I must say there were only a few items where it was very noticeable. I would definitely come back here to eat. WHOOPS, I almost forgot, yes they do have many fried items, but most were not, which is one of the reasons why I liked this place.

IMO this is the best buffet in the HD. Good food, good customer service, drinks get brought to your table. Great dessert selection!

Since my last visit, service has improved a lot. The dining room is kept clean. The food still needs much more improvement, what I like is their salad bar.

Less than mediocre is probably the nicest thing I can say. Two stars because I reserve one star for those special occasions where the food is actually inedible. We were a group of 9, and this is the consensus. Most of the fare is sub-par, standard buffet staples but they are poorly prepared and look like they have been sitting out for days rather than hours. There is beef, but it is clearly the cheapest cut and is all prepared medium-well to well done. Very hard to cut and not super palatable. Tried to ask for some medium-rare but the chef doesn’t speak English, and I don’t speak Spanish. None of us dared to try the ham… it looked incredibly dry. Ribs were the same, dry, dry. The actual salad was alright, but the soups were awful. The rolls were worse and just tasted like flour. Mac and cheese, yuck! Mashed potatoes were obviously instant but not too bad, «sliders» were dry but actually ok. Now, positives. The service is excellent. Drinks were rarely empty. Servers attended to the buffet continually, fluffing the old food. The restrooms were surprisingly clean. One of the only buffets I’ve been to that I can say that about. I pointed out one minor issue and it was handled immediately. Bottom line, if you’ve stuck with my review this long, save the money, and frustration and head to Golden Corral. Especially if you love meat at a buffet. Or rolls!

Whilst looking for a good dinner spot, my husband remembered this place. I was not disappointed! The food was scrumptious and there was a variety to choose from. My husbands favorite was the pork ribs and I personally loved the macaroni salad and pecan pie. The thing that made this place stand out to me was the Amazing customer service and attention to detail. They had a person that was cleaning the bar 24⁄7. The hostess was friendly and our sever took very good care of us, our drinks never made it to emptiness. Star taken away because some foods were old and cold, but I guess you can’t keep track of everything at once! Golden Corral is out of the map for me, it doesn’t even come close. Family friendly and very big Buffet. Would recommend.

I have mixed feelings about this place. It was the last place we went to eat with my husband’s grandma before she died. During a week when she didn’t have chemo treatment and felt good enough to go out, she wanted to come here to eat. So my husband and I took his grandparents here for lunch. The price here isn’t that bad. The restaurant was about 30% full and when the hostess seated us, she sat us at one of the furthest tables from the food. Really? We have two senior citizens, one is with a cane. So we asked her if we could sit closer and she moved us to a booth. The server who was taking care of our table was nice but really slow. We found ourselves getting our own napkins and waiting a while for refills. The food here is hit or miss. Some of the food was okay and came out fresh while others were totally inedible. I didn’t like any of their fish or beef dishes. The meat here is dry and didn’t taste«wood grilled». It’s funny because only the sides were good, like the seasoned fries when they came out fresh. My husband’s grandma liked the items she picked out so at least that was a positive. 124⁄100 Reviews for 2014
