I had my gun transferred here from gun . I called the store and they said my shipment isn’t here but the UPS tracking says they delivered it. I decided to go to the store and check and when I got there, they said the shipment came in and told me they will call me to pick it up later because they have to log it. The employees were not very welcoming. I told them I live an hour away and only sent it to this store because a friend recommended them. I never got a call. I will never do business with this store again or refer anyone to them.

Fountain Firearms is my one stop shop. When I lived in the area I was in the store all the time. Guns and ammo holsters or every kind of accessory and some great fellas and gals to help you with whatever you need. Great deal on handguns, long guns and everything in between. Recently I traveled from my home in Central Texas after they contacted me advising of a Bucket list item I have been looking for and hard to come by. I now have my Henry Original. Thanks Oren for letting me know. If your looking for quality, quantity and bargains, you don’t have too look far! Get with them and see for yourself… I’ll do more business with Fountain Firearms cause they’re good people to do business with and they care about their customers! I’m proof of that! Thanks Oren

I have been very pleased with Fountain. I bought a Remington 700 and a MArlin 336 from them and have been very pleased. When I originally went in to buy a lever action of a different brand the staff there gave me some great info about the process on how certain brands are made and I found that to be very informative in making my decision. In regards to the prices, I have not seen many if any beat them on prices so, I’m not sure where people are seeing this.

Fountain is a pretty good place if you know what you’re looking for, at least. I noticed their in-shop prices on guns seem to be a bit high, but if you order from their online shop and have it delivered to the store, the prices are usually quite a bit lower. I bought a Marlin lever-action rifle from them online and ended up spending about $ 50 less than the price they quoted me if I had ordered right there in the store. It’s also a really cool atmosphere in the store — like a gun museum. I like to just go in and look around at all the guns on display and old Mausers on the rack.

Talk to Sloan for any rifle info & accessories. Talk to John for pistol info and accessories. If they don’t have what you want they can usually get it pretty quick. I use these guys for my FFL and they have been solid across the board. I’ve made several purchases with Fountain and they’ve always done me right.

I recently had trouble locating a handgun. I looked all over the US and could not find the one I wanted. My last call was Fountain Firearms. They had it in stock. Here is my review. The price was definitely on the high side, but when nobody else has what you are looking for sometimes you have to pay a premium. With that said the transaction went smoothly. I dealt with an older guy with shaggy grey hair and a mustache. He was knowledgeable and friendly. There are some other Bubbas working there who aren’t so friendly. Aside from that, it was a positive experience. They have a great selection and a lot of old guns. Sure it doesn’t have the best aesthetics but it has what you need. The verdict. If you are looking for something and having trouble finding it somewhere else give them a try. Just avoid the tall young redneck and your experience should be fine.

This is probably the last time I will ever do business with these folks. I never regretted making a purchase as much as I did yesterday after buying my rifle from them. Not only was my deal well over $ 120 of the market value(Comparing Gunbroker [after FFL and shipping] and Samco Global Arms, Inc.), they didn’t keep their end of the bargain over the phone. I made a phone call to get a price on the gun I wanted and asked for«$xxx NOTAX and throw in a sling» and Clark, the sales person, said«OK! I can do that». After I was done signing all the legal paper work and about to pay, he rings it up INCLUDINGTAX and said that there was«miscommunication» and that«there was no tax for the sling, not the rifle». The price including tax really killed the already pricey deal. Also, he threw in the sling for free so why would he charge tax on the free sling in the first place? I didn’t want to go through all the paper work again so I just went ahead and paid it. I knew the deal I originally wanted was over 19 percent of the market value anyways, but to me I was willing to pay the price to get it now and support local shops. Now that I know how they like dealing with their customers, I don’t think I will shop here again. Transactions like these just make me not want to trust people even more. Life is hard enough as it is sometimes, why screw someone over to make a few extra bucks? If you do decide you want to go here, just make sure you: — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — –Do your research before buying. Check Gunbrokers and ask around for the on going price in an online forum. There is a lot of knowledge out there and people are more than willing to help other fellow gun owners. –Be patient, the guns they have there are not going anywhere. You will usually find a better deal online to get it shipped to an FFL dealer or find a fair deal at your local gun show. –Walk off at any time. It is your money and you are not legally obligated to anything. Also do not let your interest in the gun influence you in the purchase. –Have them write the price down on paper before you sign the legal documents. Don’t let what happen to me happen to you! Be clear on what transaction will occur. –Never buy full price. This is a pawn shop and they inflate their prices just so you can haggle down to a fair price. Good luck and be safe!
