Favorite sandwich place! Sales one of the best Philly cheese steaks. It’s so worth the price big and juicy!

I usually would give this place a 5star rating cause I always get the same thing the Italian grilled but finally came out of my shell got a big kahuna. gross it was just soggy salty meat that didn’t have a overall cheese steak look lots of people told me they didn’t care for this place thought they were crazy until now so if I’m craving a cheese steak papa genos it is

This is a great Jersey Mike’s location with an excellent staff that impresses me every visit. The last time I went here, one of the workers gave me a sample of the tuna so I could decide whether I’d branch out from my traditional #8. Then she detailed how she usually likes her Jersey Mike’s tuna sammys, and I ordered one her way. Delicious! Great place, tasty food, really wonderful people.

Consistently above average sandwich place. Clean, efficient and fresh ingredients. A sandwich shop really can’t get any better than that. I love the good ratio of meat to veggies, this place is way better than Subway.

I was down in Houston yesterday for meetings and had little time for lunch. I stopped by this sandwich place. It was awesome. They were fast, and the food was great. I like their food quality and would go back. Now i need to see if they have one near where i live.

It was cool. I’m a huge fan of toasted sandwiches, which they didn’t offer, but they did grill my sandwich though, which was cool. So it’s located on the corner of Kirby Dr. And a side street called Tangley. The parking lot is small, but street parking is available. I don’t see this place being busy other than lunch time on weekdays. They have several sandwiches on the menu and each sandwich comes in 3 sizes, which is cool. I got the club, and it had roast beef, turkey breast and bacon. It was cool! I wasn’t in ah or anything though. But I did read a lot of the other reviews and supposedly the Philly Cheesesteak Is delicious. So I’ll try that and maybe give this spot a higher rating. The staff was pleasant and very helpful.

I can’t get enough of the roast beef sandwich but instead of provolone, I get swiss added instead. Bread is so soft and meat is nice and med rare. What else can I say, you are probably driving there now.

First off I’d like to say that in my heart I believe that jersey mikes is better than Quiznos, subway, firehouse subs, or any other sandwich place in Houston period! I always get #5 with chips and a drink(the super sub aka #5). Yes it may be a little more expensive then the other places I mentioned but the food tastes great and the locations are very clean, this particular jersey mikes location in rice village is very clean and the staff is very friendly, the only drawback to it is that there is very limited parking and it is next to a mattress store and a spa who all share the same parking lot so be prepared to wait a few minutes around lunch time to find a parking spot… totally worth it in my opinion!

I usually go to the Jersey Mikes on Yale St by Walmart… but this ones closer to work. Pros: Friendly staff, good service. Cons: They SKIMP on MEAT. There was only 2 slices of ham, 1 slice of turkey and a slice of cheese. I finished my #8 regular club sub and was STILL hungry afterward. At the Yale Jersey Mikes I can barely even finish a regular most of the time. Also, this place was dead at lunchtime which is never a good sign. I would skip this location and travel the extra few miles to the Jersey Mikes on Yale st in near Washington ave.

Quite frankly I’m embarrassed that this place uses Jersey in it’s name. As a life long resident of New Jersey I have had the privilege of having enjoyed hundreds of great sandwiches, cheese steaks etc. from this area. Mike’s is about as good as a Subway. Don’t waste your time with this place.

Just so you know, this is not an alternative to Subway. This is high quality deli fresh sandwiches, and the meat and cheese is sliced right in front of you after you order. I always get the Club Supreme, and it is so freakin’ good! This particular location is convenient since I’m working with a big client with an office in Rice Village for an extended period. The people here are super nice and the line always moves fairly fast.

Quick tips: Chipotle to Taco Bell is what Jersey Mike’s Subs is to Subway. Definitely worth the extra price. My husband likes crispy bread and I like softer bread and yet the bread seems to be perfect to our two varying preferences. My good friend is from Jersey and says that this is as close as you are going to get in Texas. Food: The Big Kahuna rings true to it’s name. Grilled onions and peppers plus mushrooms, jalapeños and extra cheese! The regular should be good for one meal or you can get a giant and have two or maybe three meals in the future. Really fresh ingredients. Service: Because they are making it right as your order, it takes a little bit longer for the sandwiches to get made.

I don’t get it. This is like a inferior version of Subway. Less choices and not as good. I was so disappointed because I thought subway was mediocre, until I came here. This place defines mediocre. It’s not terrible, but why waste your time and money here when there’s so many places in Houston?

I love sandwiches, and Jersey Mike’s never disappoints. The bread is always nice and fresh with a nice chewy texture, and the service is quick and polite. I tend to come during off peak hours but even then there is normally a person or two like myself who is stopping by for a quick, delicious bite to eat. This place is more expensive than the $ 5 footlong from Subway but you are getting a better tasting, higher quality product. The actual parking available can be a bit tight during peak hours but there is also street parking nearby that is easy to get too. The student discount is only 5%, most likely due to its close proximity to Rice, but its still 5%! Make sure to get your«Shore» rewards card and if you like it Jersey Mike’s as much as I do, you’ll soon be getting a free regular or giant size sub in no time.

LOVE this place. I first got hooked living in Chicago, and knew a few people that worked at the corporate headquarters so they gave me the inside scoop… In alll the cities that have Jersey Mikes, I always get the same thing — and rarely do they know what the heck i’m talking about. It’s like a super duper secret menu that probably only corporate people know about and that why I have to describe what it is I want — and OMG it’s delicious. I always forget how MASSIVE the Giant sub is. But I love it. I eat half for dinner, then i’ll save the other half for lunch. As for the secret menu — I won’t say mine, but basically you look at the numbers of the subs, and tell them a number that isn’t on there — Like a 22 and a 44 make a(66) but that’s not on the menu… etc. etc.

Great part of town for a good place to eat. I have only eaten at one other Jersey Mike and that was up in Dallas. That too was good. I had the classic and I had it mikes way which is a very tasty way to have it. It comes with onions, tomatoes and vingear and oil. Try it here specially since its in a good location in Rice Village.

It’s hard to find a sub shop that impresses, given that they all kinda sell the same sorts of things. Jersey Mike’s sets itself apart by the greater amounts of meat on each sub, the incredibly tasty and well-made bread, and by their awesome service. I sampled the ‘super sub’ my dining companion ordered and had immediate food envy the rest of the meal. The bread was so flavorful and hearty, miles above the stuff you get at Subway/Quizno’s. The meat was plentiful and the dressing they put on that sandwich was stellar. I got a chipotle Philly cheesesteak and wasn’t as impressed. The bread wasn’t toasted so the cheesesteak became soggy real fast but the bread itself wasn’t the same kind that they use for the sub, it just tasted average. The steak itself was tasty, the cheese they put on it was just the right amount, but overall it didn’t leave me wanting more. Also I didn’t taste anything remotely chipotle flavored in the sub. maybe it wandered off with the delicious bread. The service was fast, incredibly polite, and friendly. Would definitely return!

This franchise has been here for nearly 10 years so that must mean something in such a competitive neighborhood(Rice Village). At Jersey Mike’s they slice the meat and cheese fresh to construct some first rate subs. I had lunch today(11.95 + tax I split a giant #13 classic sub). It was the perfect amount for two as it was essentially the same as two regular subs for a few dollars cheaper(FYI the employees always ring it up to save you a few bucks as long as you both want the same sub). The quality is obvious from the first bite to the last. If you are going to get ½ for lunch and ½ for later, you can ask for the oil & vinegar on the side so the sub doesn’t get soggy. May I also suggest adding deli spread & banana peppers.

Best sandwiches in the West U area, hands down. My favorite sub here is the Club Supreme. Meats and cheeses are freshly cut in front of you, and they definitely pile it on. The roast beef is excellent here, if you like your beef a little more on the rare/medium rare side. If your jostling for a hot sub, try the cheesesteak or the reuben. Only downside here is the parking, Jersey Mike’s is in a small strip center, so the parking lot will fill up fast, especially right around lunch.
