I’ve gone to this location only two times and the service has been HORRIBLE. The workers are rude and don’t care about the customers. I let the first time go with the first rude worker but second time… I’ve had enough. Things need to be fixed.

If you’ve been anywhere around Texas you know how wonderful a good Whataburger is. This location is hands-down one of the best anywhere. Always clean inside, competent and friendly service, and the food always comes out great and exactly what I order. Parking lot can get pretty packed around lunchtime, but I have never had a problem getting in and out. I was lucky to live near this location for so long; now anytime I’m back in town it’s my favorite to revisit!

Sholanda sho had an attitude. Ha ! Sorry I had to, No hello how are you when arriving at window, just took my card, then handed me a drink, another drink, I looked at her, she closed the window, wow. If you are that unhappy with your life or your job or just working late, do something else !!! I haven’t had this bad of service from a single individual in quite some. I tried smiling at her and try and get some positive reaction, as far as a have a great night or maybe a «here you go» when getting my food… nope. I wait close to 10 minutes for my food which I understand, understaffed at a late night time, but she would even come back to the window when I tried to add something. then… The manager white guy was on duty that night, tan shirt ! So awesome ! She had to have Jim the night manager give me my food, she was horrible !!! She wouldn’t come and finish helping me she just stood there and watched him do it, which I am sure the manager has a lot more important things to do than hand out food, maybe scout for new workers! 5 stars for Jim, 0 stars for SHOLANDA, I think a 2 star will suffice. Trust me there is many more locations I will be visiting due to her ghetto attitude.

I have only ever been here once, this morning, and ordered one item, but this is the most tightly wrapped and adequately proportioned taquito I have ever received from any Whataburger, and I have ordered a lot of taquitos at a lot of Whataburgers. I will be back.

This place is pretty good. I had the jalapeño cheese burger meal with french fries and a coke zero. Pretty heavy in terms of how big the burger was. I was so surprised on how big it was. The burger was pretty tasty, not as spicy as I thought it would be. The bun was quite fluffy and had a very good texture. The fries were meh. McDonalds fries always has my heart, The fries were not as crunchy, a bit soft, and are pretty thin. I was very shocked on the sauces, I loved the spicy ketchup and the picante sauces. They were on point. Apparently this joint is exclusive to Texas. Personally, I think In and Out and Five guys are superior.

Has to be the slowest drive thru I’ve been in. They get your order right about 2⁄3 of the time. I would suggest going inside.

Went here for our first Whataburger experience as a family. It lived up to its hype! The restaurant is 24⁄7 and the dining room was well lit and clean. We went around 11 pm on a Sunday night and didn’t have any concerns with being there so late. I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Strip sandwich and it did not disappoint. The bun was fresh and moist with a hint of sweetness. The chicken strips were flavorful and fresh although they could’ve been a bit warmer. The buffalo sauce was good and the fries were piping hot(a good thing) and perfectly salted, overall the sandwich was 4 stars. The girl who took our order was pleasant but nothing stood out as extraordinary. Overall I’d recommend this place again, good food and good service at a good price!

I went here to grab food before going to visit a friend in the hospital. This was by far the slowest moving Whataburger I have ever been to(honestly the slowest«fast food» place I have ever been to). We ordered ONE meal, and they got it wrong… after we waited 30 minutes for the food. The drive-through line was wrapped around the building and moving at a glacial pace. Won’t be going back and you shouldn’t either.

Pros: service is quick, consistent quality(you know what to expect), conducive for groups of people to have a good time, actually open 24 hours, really good for fast food. Cons: it’s fast food(aka residual guilt), slightly more expensive than other fast food options. I mean, it’s Whataburger, a staple of Texas fast food cuisine. You have to try it at least once, and then you’ll come back for more. In particular, the honey butter chicken biscuit is a good introduction(biscuit is decently fluffy mixed with the crunchy fried chicken topped with that sweet honey butter), but remember, it’s only available between 11pm and 11am!

Food = okay. Burger was good, and fries were good, too. Service = good. Prices = cheap. I’ll need to try another location…

I am really pleased with the local Whataburger. In the mornings whenever I decide to stop, I always look forward to the VERY nice hispanic lady working drive through. She is ALWAYS in such a good mood and has a very big smile on her face and greets you as if you’ve been friends for a lifetime. Service is good and prompt, food always hot. I have not encountered a problem in over 2 yrs; and even if there is a LONG line, it always seems to move along rather swiftly.

Good price for the burger. Nothing that really stood out, but I would go back again for their spicy ketchup and chocolate milkshake. I still prefer In n Out burgers if you have to compare flavor and price.

Nomz. Whataburger is great: it’s definitely the fast-food restaurant of choice. Will the food cause your premature death? Very likely. But if you’re going to go for enormous shakes, greasy burgers, and rich honey butter chicken biscuits, you might as well do it here. Quite simply, the food here tastes relatively fresher and better prepared than you might get at a McDonalds or Burger King or Wendy’s. Also, the specialty items, like the A1 Sandwich, the Patty Melt, or the Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich, are delicious choices that you won’t find elsewhere. Probably best of all though is Whataburger’s breakfast menu; I challenge you to find a fast food joint with breakfast selections on the same level as the taquitos and honey butter chicken biscuits. The only down-side to this location is that wait times can often be ~15 minutes, especially late at night on weekends when bar and college student traffic makes its way there for late-night eats. Use the drive-thru during these times. Also, if you’re there way late at night after the crowd, there have been several occasions where there were shady patrons. exercise caution. I should note here that I really wouldn’t call Whataburger a 4-star restaurant on an objective scale vs. all other Houston eateries, but I’m comparing it to other fast food locations.

One thing that I always miss when I’m out of town is Whataburger. While it is one of our late night mainstays, we have also created a weird traveling habit. As long as we are in reach of a Whataburger while out of town, we have to pick it up and eat it in bed of the hotel room while watching TV. It may now be one of our favorite habits about trips and vacations. My hubby loves it because I have a serious rule of no food or snacks in the bed at home. This strict rule seems to stems from a grave mistake I made in High School, where a friend and I rented a movie and watched it in my room while eating a bag of rolos in the bed. Needless to say we both feel asleep with the bag of rolos and had a good majority of them melted on us and the bed when we woke up. Not to mention I was a teenager and too lazy to put the clean sheets back on my bed that my mom washed. So yes the chocolate was all stuck to us and the mattress. This Whataburger is equal distance from home as the location on Shepard. What keeps bringing us back to this location is that the drive-thru line isn’t insane as soon as breakfast starts, 1100PM. They are much faster as well. Oh man, now all I can think about is their chocolate shake!

Definitely a solid option for late night food(mmm…those honey butter chicken biscuits), but not a particularly inviting place. The service is usually a little slow, but it may be because I usually only come at nighttime. They are open 24 hours though and have a drive-thru, which is extremely convenient for the hungry college student.

Does anyone else think the guy who does the Whataburger commercials sounds eerily close to Walter Cronkite’s Texas Longhorns commercial voice? Get your patty melt. Get your french fries. Or get your spicy ketchup. But most of all, get your Whataburger. What starts here changes the burger world.

Fries… delicious! Yum Yum! Burger…ummm, you fall somewhere below Elevation Burger, Five Guys, Bobby Flays Burger joint, BK Whooper and sorry, but I have to even through Mickey D’s quarter pounder in there. Not impressed at all. I will try it again, because I really want to believe the hype.
