A lot to say about this place. I went for lunch during the week and the price is $ 10.00 flat. The good… there’s a HUGE selection. Almost overwhelming at first. There’s sushi, more traditional style Chinese-American food, tons of desserts, and even American type foods(fries, potatoes, pizza, chicken tenders). I like variety so this was awesome. But the sushi was disappointing — can’t expect much from buffet sushi that sits out all day. The Chinese food was actually good — but they let many dishes run out without refilling. i.e. Plain white rice. How can you not refill the rice?! Most basic. I hate the environment. Lots of loud kids and cluttered, empty tables not getting cleaned after people leave. As a restaurant overall, meh. But if you want lots of options for a good price with little contact/interaction with staff, this is a good place.

If you like strong fish smell, tepid food and the sound of children screaming, this is the place for you. Please ring the bell for ice cream as you sip on this mellow yellow– the only safe foods available. I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed.

I came here twice, once in the lunch and the other during dinner to see the difference before putting down a review. The lunch wasn’t bad, it has a nice variety and it wasn’t too old. It is a self serve buffet so don’t expect waitress. There is one(or maybe two) that comes around and takes your dishes but thats it. She doesn’t talk and doesn’t get refills. It doesn’t really bother me since I sat right next to the drink station. I did however do not like their tea. I’m not even sure what kind it is. At first I thought I got old watered down tea. It tasted gross. After a second cup the next time, its still the same gross taste. They probably don’t use enough tea leaves and thus you have hot water with a hint of mystery tea. But don’t bother to go for Dinner(for like $ 15 + per person too) its basically ALL shrimp like dishes. Theres crab legs but eh, most of the different dishes were just fancier shrimp. So while it was nice to gorge on chinese food, i wouldn’t come here that often.

Do NOT come here. They do not pay their employees and also they do not follow the food safety rules. Beyond disgusting here. Guaranteed food poisoning.

We used to be semi-regulars a few years ago, decided last night we should try it again since we haven’t been since we moved home. We regret that! My favorite, and something they’ve always been consistent on in the past, the coconut shrimp was absolutely awful. They didn’t refill the almost empty soup or dimsum while we were there(sat down at 7:30pm), a few of the meat items were refilled. The orange chicken, honey chicken and another we didn’t know the name of were all ok. The pepper chicken was dry, but they brought out more that was fine. We probably won’t be back, the quality overall seems to have gone way down!

If you like shrimp, this would be a great buffet for you — there were more varied types of shrimp dishes than any other type of food. The aroma of shrimp hit me immediately upon entering the front door, but became somewhat less noticeable as I ate my plate full of skewered greasy chicken and cold wontons. I can now say I’ve tried this place, but doubt I will return since I’m not a fan of shrimp.

Ate here two nights ago for dinner with my family. We all really enjoy chinese buffets and have been to probably every one located in Tricities. Their food is decent to alright. Service is good but the employees don’t really understand English, what so ever. Upon entering the buffet a few nights ago we were politely greeted and informed that«if we wanted anything to be cooked, just ask & they will have it made for us». A few years ago or so when they first opened up we were told the same thing but never did it. Because we went there soon before closing this last time, not everything was in stock food wise. So we said«what the hell?» and asked them to make their coconut shrimp & chicken wings, and that was that. She went on her way and asked for them to be made and then shortly after returned & let us known the coconut shrimp just came out and we are more then welcome to get some of that & that our wings were being cooked right now. 30 seconds goes by and she comes back with a plate full of coconut shrimp for us. And a few minutes after that, did the same for the chicken wings. I’ve never had such a good experience before from any waiter, waitress, worker, etc. at any restaurant! Food: 3−4÷5 — Varies time to time. Sometimes it a solid 5. Service: 5⁄5

Do not eat here! There are a few good items, but they have been sitting out for a couple of hours. I would not touch any of the seafood dishes. They smelled bad and looked worse.

Food is really good when it’s fresh. It does, however, suffer from the problem that all buffets do. That is, when it’s busy and fresh food continues to come out. When it’s slow, you might as well stay home and eat a PB and J. Just make sure you hit them during their lunch or dinner rush.

Average Chinese(with some other cuisines represented) buffet. They seemed to have altered many of their dishes to cater to the large Latino crowd they get and you can often find jalapenos in your General Tso’s and a bottle of hot sauce on your table. So why the 2-star rating? On my last visit I got quite ill. My dining partner did not, but it will certainly be awhile before I test the waters again.

Pretty good buffet. I love chinese buffet and i ve been to many places. this place is not great but it s ok. Decent buffet bar & price. It doesn’t look dirty like some buffet place. the staff refill the food promptly. Their vegetable is very good. Even my husband who hates buffet said this place is nice. I will definitely come back.

Well, I work next to Wok King, and since it’s just a short walk I head here for lunch… some times. They’re reasonably priced, have a decent selection. Great I wouldn’t take a trip out of my way to eat here, but since it’s close I figure why not. There’s a joke in our building that is something like… «The best part of the Wok King is the Wok-king away.» Haha. To me, it’s like hot dogs. I don’t want to see how it’s made, the only thing I care about is how it gets from the big plate to my mouth. With buffets, that’s usually the scariest part. Not here. It’s pretty clean, the restrooms are clean, the tables are clean, the floor is clean… Yeah. Pretty clean. Nothing exciting, nothing too bad. The service is pretty good. They come collect your plates pretty fast. Restocking the food is a little slower, but it comes out hot and fresh. Their ice cream selection is pretty fantastic. It’s really good for kids, my daughter likes it. I can imagine it would be pretty good for an event with a lot a people.

I only got to eat here once or twice before I left the TriCities. I was way impressed with all the stuff they had. Its more pricey than most buffets, but like most things– you get what you pay for. This place had salmon, crawfish, several shrimp dishes– those are just examples to show what good stuff it does carry, of course there are lots of other non seafood dishes, but I was just surprised they’d have that sort of stuff in a buffet. commenting on dave’s post, I’d say its better than Great Wall. But I should mention it is still a buffet. As for restaurants go, I guess I’d say its a 3 star, but for buffet I thought it was above average so 4 stars it is(if you’re in the mood for buffet).

I like Scott’s approach below. Set the bar low, and review within the peer group — other buffets. That is my approach across all my reviews. As Asian buffets go, this one is new, large, but only average. For the Tri Cities, I think it is in the same league with Great Wall — in some ways better, in other ways worse. The seating area is huge, with little chance of being too busy to find a table. The selection is reasonable, with some surprises, like frog legs, and whole tilapia. Parents with kids will appreciate the fresh fruit and pizza options for finicky eaters. These places attempt and fail at sushi, but you can choke down a California roll, if you are desperate. Pretty good Asian buffet, nothing to wow you; always a table available.

I’ve said before, the bar isn’t set terribly high for these buffet places… my expectations are relatively low, based on past experience. Fortunately, this place seems to do fairly well for what they are. It’s a fairly decent-sized buffet, lots of different dishes, including a salad & dessert bar. And they do a good job of constantly bringing out fresh trays, and not always the same thing. While I was there, there was a steady stream of full, hot trays coming out of the kitchen. At least they’re making the effort. The food, well… again, the bar is low. Don’t go here expecting it to compete with a regular restaurant, but it’s pretty decent for a buffet. My complaint… lots of the dishes weren’t labeled. And, there’s a little consistency problem. The label on the Mongolian beef said HOT. I thought it had decent flavor, but not much spice. Relatively mild, actually. The label on the General Tso’s chicked said HOT. Based on my Mongolian beef experience, I didn’t believe it. I took a full forkful. Yeah, it was hot. Not blazing hot, but a bit of a surprise, and enough to get my attention. It’s not a place I’m going to turn to when I’m looking for truly good food, but I think this is a good lunch spot, or a place to go when really hungry.
