We stumbled on this place on our drive from So Cal to Monterey, SOGLADWEDID. the food was fantastic and the service was friendly. their tortillas were not the tortillas in So Cal, they were much better. Cant go wrong here. knew were at the right place when we ran into two firefighter eating here before they headed down the Border fire in Sn Diego.

This place has been here for a long time and there are many reasons why. The food is excellent. The super burrito is huge and full of meat. You could split one, it’s so big. I’m a huge fan of their garlic shrimp. Anytime we travel through King City, we hit this place.

Our waitress was polite and our food was fresh and quickly delivered, which meant the world to two hungry hikers fresh from trekking through Pinnacles National Monument. My cheese enchilada was flavorful and well made, not soggy and oily like at lesser restaurants. My husband’s papa chavo plate was cooked to perfection: the fried eggs weren’t runny, the steak was flavorful and easy to cut, the potatoes were thinly sliced and well spiced, and the refried beans and corn tortillas helped to form a well balanced meal. The sauce was very similar to the salsa they serve with their chips, meaning it was spicy, garlicky, and full flavored. Overall, this was a great restaurant and we both wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting King City.

Amazing! Super fast, great friendly staff. And good cheap Mexican food. We had the pozole and it was perfect! Definitely will hit this spot again with the family.

This was an amazing find! While traveling from the Bay Area to SLO, we were hungry and wanted to stop for a quick bite. The food was delicious and the service was fast. I had a super burrito with carne asada, my friend the chile verde burrito, and my boyfriend the enchilada plate. It was more than enough food for all of us to be satisfied. The chile verde was so good that our friend placed a to-go order for it(and yes, it made for great leftovers). I highly recommend stopping here if you’re near-by!

Perfect spot if you’re driving, right off the freeway and extremely quick food. They make the food faster than they can bring it out! We sat down and a young lady took our drink orders and brought out chips and salsa. The chips were fried well and the salsa was tasty! The salsa was spicy(in a good way) and was very flavorful. The carne asada was okay, I’ve had better but the guacamole and rice was very good! The bathrooms were clean and well kept. Overall a great place for a quick bite while driving!

Quick service, reasonable prices and yummy food. Breakfast served all day and a large variety of options. Shredded chicken and the grilled chicken were tasty. This place hit the spot.

Just not a fan of this place. I have yet to have friendly service. I see friendly service to people who they know. The food is bland and not very good. It’s more convenient off the freeway.

Never been there. But read the reviews and decided to stop. Great food! Perfect Hole in the wall. wish we had one in our home town. Beans were fresh, rice was cooked right and the salsa was awesome! Very clean too! Left satisfied!

I have been going here for about 16 years and have never disliked a meal! Their wet burritos are amazing and their salsa is the best around. Service is fast and friendly and I like that you can see the kitchen, always a plus. Clean, great when your with the kids, and a good place to meet up with friends.

Amazing food and great service! Perfect place to stop on a road trip because it’s right off the freeway and the cook is fast! My partner and I both got the veggie burrito and it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. The refried beans are made with vegetable oil, not lard, and the lettuce was super crispy and fresh. And our bill for the two burritos was only $ 14! Will definitely stop in again on my next road trip.

We were starving at about 10:30AM while on the long drive from Santa Cruz to Long Beach. Checked Unilocal and trusted the majority on the reviews. We figured Mexican was OK at 10:30AM, right? Well to our surprise, they had EXCELLENT breakfast options, so the wife had a breakfast burrito while I had the huevos rancheros. Both dishes are very common but these were AMAZING thanks to the inclusion of plenty of FRESH spices, herbs and sauces. HATSOFF to the cook, we’ve found a new spot to stop on that long road home!

My last visit was such a disappointment. Got a super burrito to go. The menu says the super includes guac, sour cream, and cheese. I asked for no cheese and cilantro added. For the life of me, I could not find even a trace of guac or sour crème and there was so little cilantro! The tortilla was soggy because it wasn’t even allowed to grill. As if that’s not bad enough, the pathetic amount of salsa had that soggy texture, like it’s been sitting around for days. I might have come at a bad time(slow time a few days after Christmas and right before NYE) and gotten the old left overs. All I know if that I feel ripped off and I don’t think I will be coming back.

Not good. The food tastes like microwave Mexican. The atmosphere really is fast food. So I would not go back.

I ordered the«al pastor» combo plate. Al Pastor is marinaded pork and I think this is some of the best«al pastor» I’ve ever had. Moist, flavorful, good quality, not fatty. Really good marinade. Rice and beans nice standard addition.

We were headed back from a girls weekend and just happened to pull in and spot this place. We were desperate for food and thankful that the first place we saw was not fast food. There appeared to be several locals, as the server knew them all by name. The server was very friendly and took our order and the food was made within 5 minutes. REALLY good salsa while you wait for your food. I pretty much wanted to drink it. They have delicious veggie burritos packed with flavor and pretty cheap. I can’t imagine I’ll be driving through King City again anytime soon, but if I do, I will stop by El Taco Bravo. You should too.

Stopped by on our way north after seeing a billboard and thought«What the heck!» A nice hole-in-the-wall, the décor is gorgeous(love the plants!), it’s clean inside, comfortable seating and pleasant service. Free chips with a delicious house salsa were a plus! I ordered the Horchata, which was tasty, well-spiced, and awesome after a long day of driving. I also ordered the Huevos Rancheros breakfast plate w/corn tortillas, and was surprised to see that it came with a side of fried potatoes and ketchup. A very homey touch that made me nostalgic for tex-mex breakfasts my mom makes, even if the potatoes were a tad greasy for my taste. The Huevos consisted of 2 sunny-side-up eggs covered in the house salsa, along with a side of refried beans, potatoes/ketchup, and 3 corn tortillas. Very unique style of Rancheros, and they were delicious and satiating, but a bit expensive at $ 9 for the plate, which knocks down the stars for me. Burritos are the most affordable menu item, but everything else seems to have pretty high overhead. If you’re okay with the pricing, you’ll enjoy pretty much everything about this restaurant. Pending another long drive and a craving for El Taco Bravo, I may return.
