My family and I been coming here since I was in kinder garden and we love it! The service is always super fast and friendly! Now let’s get to the food! I always get the cheese steak which comes on an Amoroso steak roll and has thinly sliced steak with white American cheese. This is my all time favorite item off their menu! The bread is always very fresh and soft, the steak is tender and hot, the cheese is perfectly melted and it’s what brings the sandwich all together. Overall the food is great and it’s a very nice experience to come in with family or friends! I would recommend stopping by if you ever get the chance and are in the area:)

I have not been to Philadelphia, but my dad has, and my father loves cheesesteaks. The first time I brought him a cheesesteak from Philly’s Best, he immediately enjoyed it. All I know, is that I have had cheesesteak sandwiches at many a place in Southern CA(I do love them), and I really do enjoy Philly’s Best. It’s about authentic ingredients here. I especially love the Amoroso rolls that they import from Philadelphia. So good! I have tried many varieties of the Authentic Steak sandwiches here, but always go back to the Peppersteak with Provolone cheese and onions. Thinly sliced steak with the addition of the sweet peppers and grilled onions, and then I grab some Old Bay from a table here or at home, and I am all set. I know it sounds weird, but the Old Bay adds just a bit of salty spice goodness. Who would’ve ever thought that this works but thanks to the first time I saw Old Bay on a table here and tried it, I was hooked. I have tried the sandwiches with Wiz and with pizza sauce, but prefer to have my sandwich the way I mentioned above. The chickensteak sandwiches are very good, also, but I do prefer the Authentic Steak the best. To round out my meal, I enjoy the other products from Philly here. I love the Wise Onion and Garlic Potato Chips with my Peppersteak. I also have often have purchased a Frank’s Black Cherry Soda to round out my meal. So good. Service has always been prompt and friendly here. Besides the Authentic steaks, and chickensteaks, there are hoagies, burgers, salads and other extras here on the menu for you to choose from. Since I have not been to Philly yet, this is a good substitute for me as I can get myself a tasty Peppersteak with some Wise Chips and Frank’s soda, and I am all set :)

My boyfriend and I probably have Philly’s Best either at this location or on Barranca once a month. It’s just so damn good. We also always order the same things, so I can’t confidently comment on the whole menu. Mushroom cheesesteak and cheese fries. We split the cheesesteak and the fries since eating your own cheesesteak would just be too much for us. The cheese, the meat, the bread. it’s all mouth-watering. They do such a great job and they’re consistent. The cheese fries are a true guilty pleasure for me — solid fries smothered in gooey, melty, liquid orange cheese. Definitely not for the healthy conscious :)

Great service, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the food is fantastic! It’s a great location because even thought it’s off of a busy street, it always seems to be perfect and not crowded. Went today, and it didn’t disappoint! Always enjoy a good tastey kake too!

I’ve never been to Philadelphia and tried a cheesesteak from Pat’s or Gino’s or Tony Luke’s or any of the famous joints there, so I won’t even try to compare. What I can say is that I really love Philly’s Best when I’m wanting a really good cheesesteak sandwich. They are always consistent for me, the meat is always tender the cheese always melted just right and I love the peppers on mine. Most of the time I like to add a little wiz. I like how it’s all about Philly in there, they have that big sign on the wall of famous Philly people, places and things. They carry some snacks that I hear are famous in Philly, the sodas and some of the little cake type snacks. When you go you place your order and it doesn’t take long to get your sandwich and it’s always piping hot, and the cheese is all melted! So good! Their fries, they can be a bit soft and soggy, I have asked them to cook them a bit more well done, then they come out nice and crispy. It’s just simply a good sandwich with a good amount of meat and lots of great flavor.

Glad this place is here. Only complaint is that way way way too much wiz was used on steak. Fell apart. Next time, I’ll just mention it. Also a bit weird that pizza fries would have wiz and sauce. Not what I’d expect in my home town of Philly.

I’m afraid they had a tough time at lunch today. They lost my ticket, and I ended up waiting 35 minutes for my lunch today. At least they didn’t make excuses and appologized, but it was a long wait today. I am usually in a hurry at lunch, so I’m not going to come back here. Food wasn’t too bad once it was ready.

Great Phillies. Highly recommend. We found this place through Google while driving south to San Diego. We wanted a Philly. Ventured out and found a great place. Would come here again.

Philly’s Best, huh? It turns out I have this really nasty character defect where I will be hungry and turn to Unilocal’s mobile app for guidance in meal selections and then I actually heed the collective community consensus. About then something really bad will happen to me. Enter: Philly’s Best. 200+ reviews. 4 Stars. Infinite«what the hell». First off the parking situation is a little ridiculous. I had a security guard ask if I was parking to dine at the restaurants. When I asked him«What else would I be doing?» he snapped back«Visiting a corporation in the area and not patronizing the food court!». This is Foothill Ranch, not DTLA. Calm the hell down. I noticed that combined smell of Sysco disinfectant and charred beef permeated the air as I walked in. Also, the menu font looks like a bottle of New York Seltzer. I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak with whiz and within five minutes my order is up and I dig in. I will concede this much, the bread is spot on. Crusty outside, chewy inside and the perfect mouthfeel. It is about as authentic as it gets. But things go sideways quickly. The minimal amount of beef offered was grossly overcooked, almost hardened on the edges and the Whiz was applied with the care of a smack addicts used syringe. I get that these things are supposed to be messy, but this was obscene. A meager serving of overcooked beef blasted with Whiz on a perfect bread roll. Craptacular. I really hope I went on an off day, because Unilocal really ought to give me my $ 10.00 back. Get it together people.

I don’t really know what constitutes a great or authentic Philly-style cheesesteak but I do know what tastes good! And I have to say, the cheesesteak sandwich I had with onions was mighty tasty. I loved how soft the bread was and how gooey the melted white American cheese was. Simple but so satisfying. I also got fries with it… which I think I’ll pass on next time. Not that they weren’t good, but there was something… «off» about them. Had a weird smell and aftertaste. Blah, who cares really since it’s supposed to be all about the cheesesteak and that in itself was pretty awesome. Total for my lunch was $ 11.32. I’ll probably try the onion rings next time. No comments on service, ambiance, or parking since my colleague picked it up for me.

It’s a franchise place serving up classic cheesesteaks in rolls … nothing too complicated right? My last visit was this past weekend. I buy lunch for my guys and let them pick. Well this is where they wanted to go. The sandwiches were ok, not the best, but not bad. The portions of meat were rather small for the price so I personally wasn’t impressed. A single sandwich will fill you but not make you full if you know what I mean. It’s like a large snack with bread. I guess I would have expected much more meat for my $ 8. Anyway the taste was good but the portions were a bit small. I can’t see myself making it a regular spot if I’m actually looking for a full lunch but that’s just me. Give them a try.

Great authentic Philly cheesesteaks from these guys. I usually order the Mushroom Steak with extra cheese and it’s always super filling and worth the average price of $ 10. It’s a great alternative to other fast food places which you get tired of after a hundred visits eating the same thing. Regardless of which Philly you choose, you’ll come out with a great sandwich, but do order extra cheese to experience even more cheesy goodness!

Great sandwiches. Got a cheese steak hoagie and was full after the 5 minutes it took to eat the thing. Only recommendation is to get extra cheese. I tried my partners sandwich and it was way better with it. Fries are an extra charge and not included* They have salads as well and chips you can buy with either fountain drinks or franks soda in a bottle. Avg sandwich comes close to about 10 dollars and is much more filling and better quality than subway or something similar.

Great cheesesteak sub. Cheese fries are so good! When I order a cheesesteak with no onions I also order a side of marinara sauce. Great combination.

I was watching food network… this is how it usually starts for me. Yep I was craving a Philly but always hesitant to get them because I tend to compare to the real thing in Philly but I was very pleased. I ordered the cheesesteak with onions and the cheesesteak fries just because the pictures looked so good. It’s a small establishment but still enough seating inside and oustside to meet the needs of luncheoneers. The sandwich is a pretty good size so I split mine with my son. It was hot cheesy and flavorful. The meat portion was very decent and the bread was soft with a nice chew. The cheesesteak fries were simply divine and probably what I will always order. They make them with whiz which makes them even better. Next time I will ask for whiz on my cheesesteak. Service was okay nothing special but friendly just as well.

This place is great. Fast, clean, and delicious … The fastest order delivery in my life. Less then a minute wait. And very tasty. I’ve tried philly cheese steak in Philly. This place is awesome. I will recommend for fast stop. Lunch. They offer take out too. Try. Loved it Just one suggestion to the owners, please bring caned or bottled soft drinks.

Just ordered the chicken cheesesteak, I asked for no onions and the put onions, however the cheesefries are exquisite. The order was pricey and I wouldn’t complaining if they didn’t get my order right, the employees and customers remade the order with a little talking back so now for the chicken steak: it tastes alright, the meal was good and i enjoyed it.
