Amazing day at the sky bar with rob and joey. Great drinks great food. Atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Music was fantastic… fish dip is something to come back for. Great view. Support local bars. You will have a good time here.

I’m overly pleased with my experience. Our waiter was generous, awesome scenery, food was excellent and I enjoyed feeding the catfish but you have to sit at the deck area to experience that. Try feeding them, its amazing to see, GONE in a split second! lol I must warn about the fishy smell(depending on the direction and the how hard the wind blows) but its only a quick whiff, its not unbearable at all. Also if you’re a Caribbean girl like me and/or enjoy nature it wont bother you much. Thanks Key Lime House, this stop made my vacation that much better!

Tourist trap with a great pier-waterfront location and its great for live music and drinking. There is value in just those aspects alone, but i’m not going there for the food… it’s the same ol’ same ol’…menu hasnt changed in a long time and it’s resting on its laurels.

Five stars for the Old Key Lime House? Sure, why not. It is what it is: a fun, casual, lively restaurant & watering hole with great views. It’s located right on the Intracoastal waterway and almost feels like several establishments combined into one, with a wide variety of seating areas, both inside, outside, waterside & bar-side…including a little«sky bar» with panoramic views, and even a separate bar on a houseboat! The key lime pie was all that. Very tasty. So was the crab cake and the coconut shrimp… wow! Very impressed. Live music sealed the deal. We’ll be back!

My boyfriend and I met some friends there for drinks on 6⁄5 and it’s a pretty happening place. The restaurant itself is huge, and it’s got a laid back vibe, and there was live music. I had a frozen rum runner with a Meyer’s rum floater, and it did the trick :). As for the service, the time it took to get our drinks was not terrible, however, it wasn’t exactly quick, and our waitress was very frazzled and was a little snippy with some of my friends. Also, the outside door of the women’s bathroom had so much grime and dirt on it that I had to wash my hands after entering the bathroom. With a place as big as Key Lime and with as many people, it can be hard to keep that place spotless. However, the amount of grime on the bathroom door and the overall sticky feel when walking on the floors, suggests that the entire place needs a deep cleaning.

They have great fish tacos, great place to stop on the bike, and have some cold ones.

This is a historic building on a beautiful setting. We were lucky to get a seat right on the water. It was lunchtime and there was a nice breeze. We were a party of 3. One person had the fish and chips and really enjoyed them. My husband and I both got the chicken breast dish, which is lighter than most of their lunch menu. It was fine. Not much to get excited about a chicken breast, but at least it was a bit lower in calories. My husband got a side of sweet potato fries and they were the best we ever had. We also got to taste the cheese cake(didn’t eat the whole thing the piece is big and we shared). It was better than the cheesecake we tasted at the Cheesecake Factory a few nights ago. Better to go at some of the cooler times of the day since this restaurant does not have A/C. But when it comes to atmosphere, this place has it in spades. Will go back again.

This was one of my favorite places to go with my grandma. It’s right on the ocean, which is lovely– especially if you’re going with someone who has limited mobility and doesn’t get to the beach much. You can sit inside or outside, but we always sat inside where it was a little bit warmer. The fish tacos are very good– I get them fried with rice and beans as a side. The rice and beans are just as good as the main dish! Of course, it wouldn’t be a trip to the Old Key Lime House without some of their famous key lime pie. The crust is buttery and delicious. I could just eat the crust and whipped cream for dessert!

Pulled up to the dock during a morning of boating. Good service. Someone was even there to help dock the boat. We were a party of eight, and everyone enjoyed their meals. The burger and fries were good, but the best meals at the table seemed to be the turkey club and a seafood dish my wife ordered(sorry, I don’t remember the dish, but I will edit this later to add). Quality service. The place isn’t modern, but it shouldn’t be because the atmosphere fits the water. You can dine inside or outside. And you can arrive by car or boat. Worth a shot.

Old Key Lime House radiates chill local awesomeness. Located on the Intercoastal waterway in Lantana definitely adds to the Cool Island environment the establishment projects with its Caribbean-style exterior and interior. With two floors, three bar areas — including a Tiki bar, and a dining area, you will definitely get a different vibe with each, just depends on what you’re looking for. The left part of the Old Key Lime is more rustic in feel with a stage area where bands will play cool island jams, but mostly focuses on appetizers and sandwiches, while the right is more centered on full dining with the menu reflecting that. Both sides have great views of the Intercoastal. The service is accommodating and the patrons are down-to-earth and just want to have a good time. Whether you’re a local or from out of town, It’s a fun place to go enjoy the waterfront view, have some beers, and nosh on some wings and crab cakes.

So I requested a classic cheeseburger with a side of slaw… Happy hour drink specials were very reasonable, burger excellent and cooked to order. I always try the house coleslaw to checkout wherever I may be, and it did not disappoint! All the way around damn good

There are a few things you don’t do in the bar biz. Cutting the liquor is one. I order a premium shot of Bacardi Añejo. Clearly cut. The manager brings a second. Clearly cut. I drink straight so I know what it tastes like. My salad goes back to the kitchen three times because they don’t read a ticket. Old Key lime joins the ranks of view restaurants that are more clip than hip, most sad that I am to say it, in my humble opinion. Skip the clip and hit E.R. Bradley’s in West Palm. That’s my next trip! Out.

This is a great place! Pulling up I did not realize how big this place is inside. There are like 3 bars or something like that, a huge seating area, an upstairs area, AND a floating barge bar. The food was amazing. We had clam chowder and the crab and shrimp tower with forbidden black rice. YUM! We finished it off with key lime pie of course. I will definitely be back!

Food was great, unfortunately parking was a BIG problem. Lot was full, we were told to park in the meter spaces across the street. Since we had no change for the meters, we went to the staff to request change for the meters. We were told by the bar staff that after 6pm meter parking was free. After dinner and drinks we paid our bill and then ended up with a $ 50 parking fine! We’re really disappointed that management refused to take any responsibility for this error. Should’ve trusted our gut and plugged the meter. Another issue is that the bar and restaurant are completely disjointed. We were told by wait staff that there weren’t any tap beers available but halfway through the meal noticed other folks drinking draft beer. We won’t be going back…

Location review gets 4 Stars! This time we only stopped for Friday Happy Hour on the water and Old Key Lime always delivers for it’s great location, laid back atmosphere and live music. You can sit in the Tiki bar under cover, out on the water at a hightop, walk up the spiral staircase to the Sky Bar for a great view, or at the newer area Ryan’s Pub. There’s music outside almost until the live band inside is ready to play. We have not eaten here in quite some time although years ago I loved eating here. The location again is fantastic with seating out over the water in the gliders, on the big patio or inside. I found the food choices, sides and appetizer selection to be mediocre even the«best Crab Cakes anywhere» but perhaps it’s time to try it again. This place is always jammed and parking can be tough but give yourself some extra time to find parking and take it vantage of this still beautiful spot on the water for some old time Florida flair and fun.

Extra star for the view. Decent food, but could be elevated a bit. I had a mahi sandwich and my bread choices were hamburger bun or 5 grain sliced(!) bread. Needed a good crispy roll. Service spotty.

We were brought here by my sister and brother-in-law. They’ve been coming here for years for the famous and delicious key lime pie. Tonight we decided to eat dinner as well and we are glad we did! We had Mahi fish tacos, lobster and shrimp mac-n-cheese, margarita chicken and Mahi Mahi sandwich and all were amazing! I personally had the Lobster and Shrimp Mac-n-cheese it was a bit pricy so I almost didn’t get it. Also I tried it at a recent trip to a big chain Italian restaurant and was disappointed. Well this was well worth the money. Every bite had luscious meat in it. It was creamy goodness! Our waitress was very nice and personable. Then a lady came over to check on us just after we got our meals. We decided to get a whole pie to go to enjoy while it last on our vacation.

Great laid back atmosphere. Happy hour offers almost everything except draft. Ordered the shrimp and lobster roll. Simply fresh. The rice and beans are just what I expected, plain and simple. The Great views and bustling atmosphere make the old key lime a place i will return to. Don’t come here for a five star meal it ain’t gonna happen.

The Old Key Lime House is such a cool place. This restaurant has a neat history, a water view, excellent food, and a feel-good atmosphere! Let’s start with the history. When first walking into the front of the restaurant you are pretty much walking into the original structure of the restaurant. It has that«old wood» smell and creaky floors! There is also a little museum with artifacts and blurbs about the restaurant’s past. I would give more detail but that would spoil the mystery of it! It’s a must see for all history buffs. Now, onto the water view! There are three seating area options. You’ve got the inside, which is air conditioned and nicely decorated in a nautical theme. Then there is patio seating for the restaurant, which is right on the water. You can sit in those little gliding booths that seem awfully romantic! Finally, there is the outside bar area that also offers seating in a more casual way. These tables and high tops also sit right on the water as well, and they provide close access to two outside bars! Moving onto the food… let me just say that I am a huge crab cake fan. I have had LOTS of crab cakes: fried, baked, wet, dry, fishy, bready, good, bad, the list goes on. I would say I am somewhat of a fanatic! The crab cakes I had were definitely in my top 3! They were baked with little breading and lots of crab! These crab cakes made my night! My meal came with two sides, so I had coleslaw and fries. Both were delicious! Living up to its name, the Old Key Lime House also has Key Lime pie as well as an array of other tempting desserts. I didn’t order the Key Lime but lots of people around me did, and OHMYGOSH did it look amazing! I will be enjoying a slice next time for sure! I would describe the atmosphere but I’m pretty it came across already in my review. Don’t miss out and give The Old Key Lime House a visit as soon as possible!!!
