The people who work here are super friendly. A few days ago I was driving home from work, and wanted to get some sushi on the fly. Thanks to Unilocal,I found that Sushi Bön Express was nearby. I called them to place a pick-up order 20 minutes before they were closing for their restaurant’s break(between lunch and dinner). The man who answered was really nice and informative. I reassured him that I was already on my way and would be there before 3:00PM. I ordered a couple shrimp tempura rolls made with soy paper(instead of nori /seaweed). They only charge $ 0.50 per roll for soy paper, which is the lowest I’ve ever seen. When I arrived, the owners and workers were sitting at a table preparing to eating lunch together. On my way out, they said goodbye and thanked me. Something that simple put a smile on my face. Interestingly, rather than the shrimp tempura rolls being made from one large shrimp, the inside of the rolls revealed that two smaller pieces of shrimp were used. I haven’t seen this done before, and I was a little disappointed. I always look forward to biting into a nice piece of crunchy shrimp, but these rolls had small pieces that were not crunchy. Still, it tasted good, especially with the spicy mayo I ordered. Each sushi roll was 10 pieces, which was nice — most places only give you 8 or 6. While the shrimp tempura rolls weren’t the best I’ve had, they still tasted good and the employees are so friendly. I’ll stop by Sushi Bön Express another time and try some other items on their menu.

Consistantly amazing and super fresh. This is my favorite sushi place around. Their catch of the day volcano and tuna hand rolls really stand out.

It kills me to write this, but this place is super mediocre. The location is awesome — right there on the Lantana strip, near the water. It’s cute and has fantastic outdoor seating. Service is pretty good(was a bit rushed, but good). I really really wanted to like this place. But the quality of the fish is simply mediocre. We had nigiri, sashimi, rolls, apps, the whole nine yards, and none of it measured beyond an «enh». There’s just too many other options… sorry Sushi Bön, I tried.

Great staff, wonderful fresh fish, on the intercostal. Can’t beat it! Prices are fair and the owner is behind the sushi bar. Very informative also.

Nice location and even nicer staff, the atmosphere is very relaxing and the inside décor charming. The warm towels for your hands are a huge plus, I wish every restaurant had them! There’s outside seating which enjoy trade winds and make for a comfortable dining experience. My only complaint is the food– the sushi I had was just«so-so» it didn’t taste as fresh as I would have hoped. I got the lunch special, salmon, tuna and whitefish sashimi with the fish of the day and spicy tuna roll sushi… bland and just not packing the punch these foods usually have. I also got the crazy roll which just wasn’t crazy enough. This is why Sushi Bön gets 3 stars from me. I would love to come back and re-review their food, but until then my 3 stars will stay.

Hands down best sushi in West Palm. I know multiple local commercial fisherman that provide the fish, so I know it is always super fresh. Take my advice and go see what I’m talking about.

Very good sushi place, we just moved down here and we were told this was a very good place, so we checked it out. The fish was so delicious, melted in your mouth of how fresh it was. The hamachi with jalapeño was so good! Also, some things are not on the menu and if you ask they will try to make it or something similar to that. We got rolls, most without cream cheese, never been a fan of cream cheese in my sushi, but they were very good. It is a small little restaurant, but no smells and very clean. The server that we had was very polite and very attentive. Only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because I am used to different types of sushi also, working in a sushi restaurant for 4 years I have seen and tasted all different types of rolls and fish. But overall amazing job, and very good sushi. Highly recommend.

When I need a good sushi fix I head here cool quiet spot but there sushi is the freshest and most authentic around specials change daily for what ever the catch brings in only downside is its beer and wine. But when you go for sushi you want saki so who cares.

Jewl on Lake Worth. This Japanese restaurant is Small and not fancy but a very cozy place with great Japanese chefs. Staffs are friendly and Will warn you if you ordered too much. Daily catch fish for sushi. every exotic but Super fresh!!! Wasabi is from real wasabi root .not from tube or powder. Hamachi karma not a typical non-meat serving. So tasty and delicious, everything just perfect… Must go place.

We enjoyed the House Salad with Ginger Dressing. You can taste that it is homemade. We ordered the Triple Spicy roll and two Eel Handrolls and they were very fresh & tasty. Wonderful service as well. We would definitely visit this establishment again if we were in the area.

The place was cute and clean. We sat inside. There is seating outside though it was too hot. I got seaweed salad and a California roll, and I shared a shrimp tempura roll with my mom. The seaweed salad was a tad bland but the California rolls were delicious! The shrimp tempura roll was very good too. The mayo on the shrimp tempura roll I could’ve done without but it’s a personal preference. The low sodium soy sauce had a funny taste but I was not particularly feeling sushi tonight, so it was probably me. They did have specials written on a board and I regret not trying the fritter listed. Perhaps next time. Overall it was a good place and I would try it again.

Okay, this place is great! Having moved to Florida just a year ago, I had almost given up on finding authentic Sushi. Most owners are not Japanese, and the strange hybrid of Thai-Sushi that is so prevalent here drives me nuts. This is the real deal and tastes like it. I will definitely be back!

This place was hands down the best sushi I have had in Florida. I recently moved here from LA. To say that I am spoiled when it comes to good food would be an understatement, but especially Japanese cuisine. The fish was very fresh and delicious. I had the yellowtail snapper(daily catch) usuzukuri, incredible. Octopus salad — wonderfully prepared! Spicy tuna roll, perfectly done! And topped the meal off with the Mahi ceviche. Thank you Sushi Bön for a most delicious meal! Japanese family owned and operated, very warm and welcoming!

Right off the boat, onto your plate and into your mouth. It doesn’t get any fresher. Warm and friendly family owned and operated business serving an amazing array of sushi and sashimi and creative hot dishes. Great marina location near the beach. Worth a trip

We came here last night for dinner. The location is nice because it’s near the water. The parking situation sucks, but anything out east is like that. When we arrived, we almost grabbed a table inside towards the back. However, it was a dark area and slightly dingy. We asked to sit outside, and they fully accommodated our request. We went outside and looked over the menu. As a vegetarian, they have a vegetable roll(carrot, avocado & cucumber), sweet potato tempura, vegetable tempura, and some eggplant dish. I wasn’t terribly excited over the options, and I didn’t make the effort to ask them to custom make something. I believe they would have accommodated, but it was my fault for not asking. Sometimes, I just get tired of asking for special orders. Instead, I ordered a plate of sweet potato tempura — my favorite. I had received my dish before everyone else did. I let it sit there and cool until everyone’s orders arrived. Once they got their food, I started to chow down into my sweet potato. ‘ Granted, it’s a fried dish loaded with oil. However, this was exceptionally oily. I couldn’t even finish the appetizer plate. I felt slightly sick afterward from all that oil. That could have easily been from not usually eating something that greasy. Overall, the staff was nice and attentive. The rest of the party who ate fish seemed to enjoy their meals. For me, I wouldn’t come back. There is nothing special about this place for me to ever crave it.

Have been looking for a sushi spot in the area for a while, tried this place the other night and it was fantastic! Possibly the best sushi I have ever had, and I am picky about my sushi. Sit at the bar to watch a real sushi artist. The fish is incredibly fresh, the rice is perfectly cooked and the atmosphere is incredibly welcoming. You must go to this place!
