I’m not a big fan of the wine but the patio and vineyards in the front are pretty great. The food is also worth the visit. Cheese Nosh is amazing!

This was our second winery stop. As a native El Pasoan I’ve always visited la Mesilla, but never the wineries. I was so glad we made this one of our stops. When we arrived we went right to the bar for tasting. The bartender greeted us and gave us some menus. I wish I could remember our his name because he was great. I think his name started with an «A». Anyway! He helped us choose our 6 for $ 6 based on our tastes and even though my boyfriend wasn’t in the tasting mood anymore(and he was our DD) he was still attentive and asked him if he needed refills on his Dr. Pepper. On top of being personable, our bartender was knowledgable about the wines and kept up with the banter. He really made our time fun. Because of his suggestion we fell in love with the Blush wine they had and we each got a bottle. I really wish we hadn’t eaten earlier because I would have liked to try the food. I loved the atmosphere inside and I’d really like to come back again. I think this place really made my mom enjoy wineries. I know she’ll be back.

Was in town for work and this place was perfect. Server(Anette) took great care of us. Wine was very good, food was excellent. Could not have asked for more.

St. Clair is a very nice place without the need to dress up, although we did and you absolutely could. They have a great enclosed outdoor seating area with lots of shade from plants and umbrellas. They also allow service dogs in there, so that was an added bonus because who doesn’t love well-trained dogs?!? The staff from the host to the waiter were very attentive and ridiculously friendly. Our waiter was well-versed in wine recommendations and pairings, and he brought samples of anything we were interested in trying. The other bonus of this place is wine flights. They Rustic flight was dry reds and definitely worth having for me. Each flight comes with three small glasses. The food was very good. The potstickers were fantastic and everyone should try them for an appetizer. The salads have a bunch of dressing options, of which I had the pecan vinaigrette and would recommend that as well. The flavor wasn’t there on the chicken in my salad, but otherwise it was a great experience and I’ll be returning there to explore the menu more.

Great place and great service! Came into town for the weekend and had to come eat here, also for some wine of course. We ate outside on the outdoor patio which was very nicely decorated and well taken care of. Thought it would be busy for the wine festival in town but was seated right away which was excellent. Then Morgan our server had reached our table and offered samples of the wine we ended up ordering. Morgan was also funny with some jokes that kept us laughing and kept us well entertained, very good server! Food was on point as usual, me and my fiancé had the New Mexico pasta and my daughter had a grilled cheese. The dessert was amazing also that Morgan recommended which was the cheesecake and bread pudding. All I can say this experience was a great time for the my family. The manager Kevin was also very attentive and made sure everything was going good. Will be back soon.

St Clair Winery and Bistro is one of the best restaurants in Las Cruces. We sat on their garden patio which is probably the best patio in town. Our server was awesome for being brand new. The meatloaf was the best I’ve ever eaten. My date had the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. We are looking forward to their Wine Festival Memorial weekend.

St. Clairs is ‘ok’. From hostess to wait staff everyone is always friendly. The restaurant is clean and they’ve offered ‘tastings’ the last couple times I’ve been there. As for the food… My first visit was on a day where we were exhausted and hungry. I had the Fish and Chips and they were fine. On my second visit we ordered the Calamari as an app but it was slightly undercooked as was my salmon that I had on my Cesar salad. I’m always cautious about sending food back to the kitchen so I pushed the salmon aside and ate my salad(I finished cooking the salmon through at home and had it for lunch the next day). On my third visit we ordered the Calamari again(cooked to perfection!) and I ordered a pasta dish as my main course. HOWEVER. I really wasn’t happy with it. Trying something new is always a risk but the flavor just didn’t appeal to me(Danielle Pasta). Despite our server asking how everything was and the Manager coming by and asking(stupid me said«it’s ok»).neither seemed to notice the food on my friends plate was half gone and my plate was still as full as when it arrived(minus a couple bites to see if I could change my own mind about the taste). I’m really disappointed that neither said«You haven’t touched your food. Would you like something else?». I mean, it’s pasta. They don’t pay much for it and it’s worth dumping to make a customer feel valued and acknowledged. I take FULL blame for not saying, «I really don’t care for the flavor will you please remove it from my bill». But management should also be aware that it’s sometimes difficult for their customers to tell them they’re unhappy with their meal(especially in such a small town) and when they come by to ask how it is, they should be genuine in their asking versus doing a ‘drive by’ ‘How is your food?’ as they continue walking to the next table. If you’re going to ask me how my food is. STOP at my table. Ask me. If I say«it’s okay» or you see that my plate is still full, open the conversation by saying«are you not hungry?» that opens the door for your customer to say«no, I’m hungry, but I don’t care for the taste». This way you can find out why they aren’t eating and what they don’t like about it. It’s kinda restaurant management 101. This is the second time I’ve been at a restaurant, have not touched my food and it hasn’t been acknowledged by staff or management. To me, this is truly poor customer service and management. I guess I’m just accustomed to eating at restaurants where things like this are noticed and quickly fixed to appease Customers. But in the future, if I don’t like it… IT’S GOINGBACK! ;)

Went to the tasting room. Got a tour of the various types of wines and learned a lot of new things. Bought some bottles for me and then some for birthday presents. They even shipped the wine for a very reasonable cost.

Having had visited the St Clair Winery years ago in Deming, I was surprised to see it pop up on Unilocal when I searched for a place to eat in Las Cruces. I took a look at the menu on-line and decided to give it a try. I’m glad that I did. I had the«rustic» wine flight first and ordered the meatloaf. You need to know, this ain’t your grandma’s meatloaf! I normally don’t like meat loaf, but ordered it based on the description in the menu, because it sounded interesting. It turned out to be even better than«interesting». They slice the meatloaf and then grill it, so it has a bit of a steak feel to it. Then they put a chili/mango glaze on it which is simply fantastic. I finished it off with a bowl of ice cream and the desert wine flight. I can’t recommend this place, and the food strongly enough. PS, if the weather is nice, be sure to sit out on the veranda.

Our initial interaction with the waitstaff was not impressive but they quickly redeemed themselves. Our server was so helpful and friendly. We ordered the nosh plate, mac & cheese bites and salmon sliders. All amazing. The wine flight selections were plentiful and our server added a couple other tastings as well. The view was beautiful. Eat outside and enjoy the sunshine. We will be back!

Looks fancy, high prices but their food was average. Go here for the wine but otherwise sticking crumbles over blueberries doesn’t make it a pie. The bread pudding was like gelatin.

I was there a little over a week ago for the first time with family and friends. We really enjoyed this place. The ambient was very welcoming and enjoyable. The menu offered a good variety of food and it was all delicious. We had crab cakes, calimari, halibut with all the sides, pasta, mac n cheese. Eveything was spot on the flavors were all there. Desserts were also good. Te chocolate mousse cake was the winner for us. The wine is what we really drive from El Paso for. Lol. We loved their Nibbiolo, Renaissance, Chardonnay and Miembres. Needless to say, we were there to try it all and oh boy did we try it all. Lol. Melissa, the bartender that Sunday night was amazing! We enjoyed her suggestions and company so much! She knows her stuff. Definately worth the trip! We will go going more often.

Spectacular service and spectacular food. St. Clair is an extremely popular restaurant in Las Cruces, because of this as reservations are usually required and the restaurant gets packed especially on the weekends. We ordered our appetizer which were jalapeño bacon wrapped shrimp. The appetizer was nice, good flavor and spicy but not to the point of being unable to eat it. As a result of the large influx of people after we ordered our entrees we actually had to wait quite a long time(about 50 minutes) for them to arrive. However, this is totally acceptable because of the fact that it has such huge demand. Our entrees finally arrive(which I thanked God for because I was starving and they looked delicious). I ordered a Pork Loin La Claire which was a perfectly seasoned and cooked pork loin topped with a delicious, sweet cherry sauce. It was also accompanied by a vegetable medley and a cheese risotto. The pork loin was amazing and so were the vegetables. The risotto was a bit mushy but all of the flavored were there. The thing that had me in awe was their service. One of my companions steak was over cooked even though he asked for it medium rare. The manager came to ask how we were doing and we told him about the steak. He immediately apologized and left without saying another word. In literally five minutes he came back with a fresh dish that was perfectly cooked. Alongside this he also gave us a free blueberry cobbler! I was thoroughly impressed because to be honest we weren’t even all that bothered by the over cooked stake, and just the fact that the manager managed to bring out a new and improved dish and a free dessert really wrapped up a great experience!

My partner in crime and I had actually already tried one of St. Clair’s wines before we made it out here, specifically the Malvasia Bianca. Really sweet(I think it’s actually their sweetest) and smooth. We enjoyed it with some fruits and cheeses. I highly recommend that you pick up a bottle of any of St. Clair’s wines at your local grocery store. But talking about St. Clair Winery & Bistro, one song comes to mind… DeLovely. Yes, it’s delightful. Yes, it’s delicious. Yes, it’s definitely delovely. St. Clair was on my foodie bucket-list since my last visit to Las Cruces so this past weekend we set out with a couple of friends to try it. First I want to talk about how St. Clair is set up. The front room is really a receiving room where you get the first glimpse at all of the wines they offer and I have to tell you, their selection is extensive. If I accidentally got locked inside St. Clair, I wouldn’t be upset. Another good place to pick up that bottle you were thinking about getting this weekend… right from the source. Continuing through, each room has a little bit of a division from the previous but they all have an elegance to them with white table cloths that might have a higher thread-count than the sheets on my bed, an indoor patio with large windows looking out on the Mesilla area, beautiful plating of absolutely every dish on the high-end establishment essential… the heavy, white plate, and a quiet buzz from all the chatter. Wanting to try another sweet wine, but something that pairs well with an array of dishes since we all ordered very different meals, I chose the Gewürztraminer and I loved it! We shared the Cheese Nosh Plate and a spinach and artichoke dip. Both were very delicious and the nosh plate was one of my favorites I’ve had in a while(and I make cheese plates like every weekend because wine.). I think the cheeses may differ from day to day, but my favorites were the sage blend and the feta. Also, I ate every single one of the chocolate dots… my fiancé thought they were just decoration(they did look very pretty) and I didn’t feel the need to share information to the contrary. I think it was a milk chocolate, but it was a really good quality. My fiancé ordered a steak, our friends ordered The New Mexico Pasta and the Meatloaf, and I ordered the fish of the day, Sea Bass. All of these dishes were phenomenal… phenomenal! Yes, I tried everyone’s food. The one that stood out to me the most was actually the meatloaf because they put a spicy twist on it. What I normally would think is a very boring dish was one of my absolute favorites. The tasty blackened Sea Bass was the next runner up for my affection and they hit it out of the park with the creamy risotto. And it’s a tie for third because I would both the pasta and steak were amazing. All this said, there were no losers that night. Their menu is small, but well-rounded and choosing just one dish will be the second hardest thing you choose during your meal(the first will be which wine to drink). As stuffed as I was, I had to try their dessert. Wine, dinner, dessert… I needed to have the full experience. I ordered the Triple Chocolate Mousse and I kid you not, I would come to St. Clair’s just for this mousse. Easily the best(and most alluring) mousse I’ve ever had. Three layers of white, milk, and dark chocolate mousse and it’s decadent and sinfully good. It’s creamy and light and smooth and just everything you’ve ever wanted from the best mousse ever made. If for nothing else, go to St. Clair’s for the mousse. And the wine. And the food. St. Clair’s is a beautiful place with delicious wine and food. A great place for a night out with friends or a loved one. Also I recommend this a great place to pick up a nice bottle of wine(and they do have wine flights if you’d like to try out a few different ones before making a choice… or just really like wine). We will be back again and again.

Had their cab franc and pot roast at the bar, enjoyed the bartender who was animated and knowledgeable about wine. Allowed me to sample a few reds before making my selection. If you are a franc fan, go get you some. Theirs is a bit sweet but the finish is smooth smooth smooth… Leathery and peppery. So delightful. And these grapes are grown in AZ! The pot roast was super satisfying — comforting and cooked to be flavorful and fall apart with the touch of a fork. Hats off to my first meal in Las Cruces! Thank you, St Clair Bistro!

Not the best experience I’ve had at St. Claires. Our witness was brusque, hurried and forget one of our group member’s wine– When we asked her about it she seemed put out and then took about 10 minutes to get it. The wine flights we ordered barely had 1 oz per glass(total of 3 glasses) when it was listed on the menu as 2 oz each. The food was good — although the green chile chicken pasta had no chicken in it. We had to ask for bread — Other times I’ve been there, the servers replenished the bread regularly. I know They were busy but service and servings should Be consistent.

I recently moved to Las Cruces and wanted to take my sister and her husband out to dinner when they visited. I searched Unilocal and decided to try this establishment and was glad I did. We all had salmon(2 florentine and 1 with lobster glaze), the meals came with sautéed squash and a potato pancake. Everything was delicious and served at the perfect temperature. We also ordered their«flight» selection of wine, a great idea when you’d like to sample varieties of white or red. We split the apple crisp for dessert, plenty for the 3 of us. I recommend this restaurant, in my opinion, it’s one of the best in Las Cruces.

St. Clair is definitely a breath of fresh air in a city filled with fast food and nothing but Mexican. Being new to the area, a few friends suggested we have dinner there for a girls’ night. I was definitely glad I found this wonderful restaurant. Our waitress was super friendly and very knowledgeable of the wines offered to make suggestions. The riesling was terrific, and the selection of wines was great. And the food… wow. Yum. I ordered the pot roast, and it was amazing. Super tender and moist with excellent sides. I nearly licked the plate clean. My friends both ordered pasta, which looked really good and they also inhaled their food. You know the food is good when we spent more time making«Mmmm» noises than actually talking. I’m looking forward to visiting again and this time I’ll remember to purchase a few bottles of wine on my way out.
