This could be one of my favorite new places! At first I thought I stuck-out like a pedophile at a scout meeting because I did not have my dogs. That was the furthest from the truth. This place is no frills and full of dogs of all kinds(I would recommend leaving your cat at home). Service was great and they had a good selection of beers. The customers come from all walks-of-life; Labs in a Lamborghini, Retrievers in a Rang Rover, Hounds in a Honda, Beagles in a BMW, and Pugs in a Pontiac — you get the point. Looking forward to spending more time, WITHMYDOGS, in this great new find.

They should have a sign or post online that says no kids. Not very friendly staff and felt uncomfortable while we were there.

The wife and I took our dog here for a little social time for him. Since we’ve moved to a house, he’s really had no doggy socialization so the first time without the kids, we decided to try this place out. She and I are extremely satisfied as he got hours of playtime and socialization in for only $ 5! Well worth it for our guy. There were really no overly aggressive dogs there… Dogs doing their doggy thing, sticking noses in butts for sure, but we never had to really worry about him potentially getting into a fight with another dog. That’s a huge plus for us. We will definitely be visiting this place again.

This place is so cool and has the best staff! Jennifer and Jason are out there patrolling the yard and I can relax while my dog has fun. I don’t have to worry about a thing besides having a good time. The drinks are so reasonably price I feel like I’m stealing! They have clean facilities 24⁄7 and I don’t have to worry about freezing my tushie off because they have heaters out there. My boyfriend can come out and watch the Football games, still be able to chat with people and play with the dogs. I couldn’t have found a better, safer, cleaner dog park! This is the place to be!!!

3rd time visiting, we will join as soon as we find a permanent residence here! The owner is awesome, amazingly friendly and accommodating. Sometimes our Boston can get a little«humpy» when he gets tired, but it’s all good when you got folks helping you watch your guys. We love it here, thank you so much! We’ll always come back! P. S. met Tricia tonight — no disrespect but WOW, hottie! :-) All the employees have been EXCELLENT during our visits there, and it is absolutely NOT required, but we have tipped due to the exceptional service. Don’t pass this awesome park up!

Doghouse Drinkery was my second Dog Park/Bar on my Austin trip and the employees could not have been nicer. It had been raining so we were the only people in the park, but they lit up the heater just for us(because it was freezing outside) and were around in case we needed anything. The park had lots of space for our pup to run around and they also provided tennis balls to throw. They had a staff member outside the whole time to monitor the dogs so it also allowed us to relax and have a beer. I gave this park 3 stars because it took us a while to get there and the bar served only beer and wine. On that cold day, I wish I could have ordered something warm instead of a cold beer which I didn’t drink much of because it just made me colder. If we had gone in the summer, I might feel differently. Otherwise, it is great!

Ok, we have found our new piece of HEAVEN for us and especially our baby boy, Willie Nelson(yes, he plays guitar and is up to date on his taxes!) Upon arriving we were immediately, enthusiastically greeted by Melissa, one of the owners! We were skeptical prior to going but when we got there we were immediately put at ease with Jen, the other owner, taking charge and letting us KNOW that our baby boy would be safe and looked after by herself and other employees patrolling the yard. Meanwhile, you can buy a soda, beer or glass of wine! This is a safe, solid and STUNNING concept by 2 lovely women who LOVE&ADORE dogs!!! We do not have enough words to show or express our GRATITUDE for these women and their BRILLIANT business!!! YAY, Doghouse Drinkery Dog Park!!! :o)

This is the best concept idea that anyone could ever come up with, wish I thought of it.lol.(drink while at a dog park, fun for both dog & pet owner) But really it’s a very cool dog park for the pooches, the owners are frkn awesome! I love that we can chill & drink beer or wine while our boy runs around & has a blast playing with all sizes & kinds of dogs. It’s nice too, that they have a TV at the bar area & one in the back where the dog park is at. They also play radio music in the background, the staff is very helpful with watching out for the pooches while they play & watch that they don’t get into any scuffles with other pooches. We love coming on Friday evenings or Sunday afternoons.

I thought this place was really solid. All the employees were very nice and super on the ball about picking up poop, allowing dogs in/out, refilling various size water containers. The area is mostly dirt, with a small dogs only area off to the side. Most owners are pretty engaged with watching their dogs although there were a few who just allowed their dog to constantly get in time-outs by the staff. Drinks were reasonably priced with a great selection of craft beer. Not much in the way of non-alcoholic drinks though– 2 – 3 kinds of soda and arizona iced tea. I was a little disappointed their food truck was at least 30 minutes late opening up, but when I finally was able to chow down on a patty melt, it was super tasty. There’s 1TV outside and 1 inside as well as 2 bathrooms. Glad we hit it on a rather quiet day, probably because it was so hot, even in the shade. They did not seem terribly strict about their 2 dog limit if you had friends to help. Yeah, I think we’ll be back when it gets cooler.

Thank you Jennifer, Zoe, and all for a great weekend! Bubbles, Betsy, & BeBe came home exhausted after each wonderful visit. This place has enough space for all sizes and temperments — both dogs and humans alike. Plenty of water and shade. Very kind staff. The cheeseburgers are scrumptious. I enjoyed just hanging out with my little pack,

A unique place. A quality dog park with a bar and NFL Sunday Ticket. Let your dog run and play while you watch the game. What’s not to love?

We were really looking forward to visiting this place. After getting ready and driving from Lago Vista with our two dogs. We arrived only to be turned away because one of our dogs wasn’t neutered. I can understand being strict on shots because they are so easily transmitted but one of our dogs is a pure bred Vizsla and we plan on breeding him in the future. The lady who informed us was working the bar and wasn’t rude about it but also non apologetic. There’s no visible signage telling you this and no info that I could find on Unilocal either. This would have been very helpful. From what I gathered they are concerned with male aggressive behavior and are under the assumption that neutering will fix this. This actually isn’t totally accurate. Dogs are still prone to aggressive behavior and castration only limits it in regards to mating. The number one way to curb this type of aggression is through training and upbringing. Anyway I’m giving this place 3 stars cause the concept is great, even though we will probably never try it out.

Bet place to take your dog in the Austin area! Not only did our dog have a blast but we got to socialize and drink as well. On top of what would already be a great design for a business they added an amazing staff there to help you with absolutely everything.

This is a great park. It’s supervised which makes it safe. The staff know the regulars and are great at introducing new dogs to the fold. I’ve seen that some people have issues with the staff intervening early. Frankly that’s my favorite feature of the park. In an off leash situation with all different sizes of dogs. Things can spin out of control quickly if not de-escalated quickly. De-escalation in this case simply means stop the interaction and move both dogs to another space in the park to «reset and resume play». I honestly, don’t know why people would be upset by that. Sometimes one dog takes a strong interest in another dog and be pushy or bother them. They take care of this proactively and I know the owner and dog being pursued appreciates it. All in all, this is a place for everyone as long as you are willing to respect everyone while your having a good time. The staff is knowledgeable, proactive, and experienced. They keep the dogs safe. I have a Husky that has literally been going to the Drinkery since he finished his shots at 12 weeks. Huskies can and do play rough. We’ve never had an issue. I highly recommend the Drinkery as clean, fun, and safe experience.

This is by far the most fun and well kept dog park I have ever been to. It’s an added bonus that you can drink here as well! Previous parks we visited were free and sometimes well kept, sometimes not since a few owners don’t bother to pick up after their dogs. Another problem we’ve had are people by the gates who don’t pay attention and have let our dogs out before off leash which caused some tension. Neither of these will ever be issues here. They have staff members on poop duty and also someone who stands guard over the gate. Their rule is no leashes until dogs are out of the park and into the holding area, and then you leash them there before they open the main gate. They are strict about these rules which I appreciate because it keeps everyone held to the same standards. It’s $ 5 per dog to get in, but we signed up yesterday to become members for a year which was $ 35 a person. I don’t remember what it is regularly but they had a special going on and to us it’s well worth it because our girls(and us too!) had a total blast. We came at 10:30am for a husky meet up and had the whole place to ourselves for an hour and a half because they didn’t open until noon. There were so many huskies that we wanted to lean back and crowd surf into them. And puppies too! My crazy dog lady ovaries were doing back flips. Both the owners we met and the staff were incredibly kind. We ended up staying 3 hours and didn’t even realize it because it was so nice to talk to owners with similar issues as us having the same breed. The drinks are reasonably priced too. We sipped on mimosa’s most of the morning and they served them in large plastic 12 oz glass. Yes, thank you! I think they were $ 5 – 6 each, but it’s twice the amount you get as opposed to paying that for one champagne flute. I saw they had beers too but I myself didn’t step into the bar(hubs brought me my drinks), so I can’t say for sure what all they have. Another member told me that sometimes they have beer distributors come out and live music so I can’t wait for that. They also have plenty of shaded areas to sit while the dogs play which is fantastic. Our girls came home happy and slept all afternoon. We are so glad we found this park!

Honestly came to hang out with friends and their furry children, but I can say I enjoyed my time there. They have an open and casual fenced area for you to sit and hangout with your dog. Everyone kept Fido’s droppings cleaned up and they even have a 2 stage gate that you must open and close to enter or exit(this prevents dogs from sprinting out). On site they have the beer you like and a food truck for some basic eats. Additionally, on this Saturday they were hosting a charity event and the parking lot was full but filled to a comfortable capacity. I would mark this up as a refreshing spot to come hang out with your furry friends. You get to speak and drink with friends and they get to *sniff* and play with theirs.

I love this whole concept! A bar and a place where my dog can run around and play. Yes please! My husband and I went to a similar place in Houston. I decided since my dog Samuel was turning 5 he deserved a proper birthday party. It’s tricky since he’s a January baby like me and his dad so I was just praying the weather would be decent. When we got there we were immediately greeted and asked if we had been there before. It was our first time so instructed to go into the bar to check in. I had to sign a waiver and pay for Samuel’s $ 5 cover charge. That sounds much cooler but there’s an annual membership or a day fee. They went over a few rules and then off to the gates we went. Once we walked in a lady by the name of Jennifer greeted us and gave us the low down. Man there are so many rules at this place but I get it. They’re a dog park and a business so they have to make sure things are kosher and they aren’t liable for anything. Jennifer and another lady were inside working the area. They made sure there were water for the pups, people were picking up after their pups and breaking up the«dog» fights. If you know dogs they tend to play rough and get really loud. My only beef is that I felt like the would break dogs up before they even got a chance to really play. Come on dogs are going to rough house that’s why we bring them to the dog park. But overall it’s appreciated. There’s a door on the side of the park that you can just ring the bell and they can get your drink orders through there. It’s nice that they do have staff because if you have to step away you know there’s someone there that will keep an eye on your pup. There’s a visible TV that you can see from the dog park. My husband was keeping an eye on some of the football games that were airing that day. We are really excited to go back when the weather is a little warmer and perhaps catch a Spurs. Everyone two legged and four legged had a great time. We can’t wait to come back!

Not too far from Round Rock there’s a Bar with a Dog Park adjacent… literally with a window to order your drinks from when you’re in the dog park. You’re greeted by super duper nice folks. Everyone tells you the do’s and the don’ts. The bar is a nice size bar with two tv’s to enjoy your game or anything else that’s on. It looks like a dive but I gotta tell you something, that restroom is clean for a dive and that’s a plus for me. They serve beer, wine and soft drinks. They hold a lot of pet friendly events and have an area where there’s agility equipment. You can purchase a membership or pay a $ 5 fee for the day. There’s lots of chairs to relax and watch your pooch while you’re in the park area with your pooch. Super chill, super cool!

Well… what started out as a five star experience quickly deteriorated. This is a great concept. The space is well maintained and spacious. There are some pretty stringent, but reasonable rules of conduct. The leash free area has plenty of seating and you can bring your own folding chairs if you wish. The bar has a respectable selection of beers at the standard prices. The Wesmeister was having a great time playing and all was well… until he was handled pretty roughly by one of the staff. Dogs bark. It’s what they do. Yelling at the dogs and shushing them is akin to telling kids in a playground to whisper. Dogs also like to play. This play usually involves a little kicking up of the dust and maybe some rough housing. Most dog owners, and the ones here, are pretty cognizant of their dogs’ behavior and will intervene if they think the play is escalating too quickly. Wes was playing with his buddy and they play a little rough. Before I could even get out of my chair, an employee grabbed his collar. I’m not a fan, but ok… you don’t know that that is their normal play behavior… but when she began to twist his collar, effectively choking him… we now have a fucking problem. It took every ounce of my self control to not go reciprocate the action on her. The staff needs to…1. Chill the fuck out and let dogs be dogs, or at least give owners a chance to police them. 2. Learn a little about canine behavior. Recognize play behavior in contrast to aggressive behavior. 3. Learn how to handle dogs. What she did was pushing the lines on abuse. Too bad… this place had great potential.

It took me 45 minutes to get here(I’m a Southie) — but it was well worth it. This place is such a great idea, I wish they would open one closer to my residence. So, what’s the deal? You show up, check in at the bar, get a beer(AND A COOZIE — winning), and then your dog gets to run around with other wonderful dogs. It’s $ 5 per dog, and this gets you supervision and staff who picks up after the dogs. No lie. Well worth $ 5. There are also annual membership options if you want to come by this place more than once — and there’s discounts for the more dogs you bring. However, there is a 1 human to 2 dog ratio, so keep that in mind.(Could you really handle three dogs alone anyways…) Super concept, huge space for the pups, I couldn’t ask for much more.
