Nice local food truck. I had the pulled pork sandwich, while my wife had the ahi tuna sushi wrap. Both were very tasty, even though we bought them, and put them in the fridge in our hotel for later that night! If you’re driving by, this is a good one! Not another overrated, overpriced restaurant that’s simply a tourist trap!

This was our first stop when we arrived. The Ahi wrap was so good ! It was similar to sushi but with much more. The fresh ahi is dusted with furukaki and then wrapped with sushi rice, sprouts and a tasty wasabi sauce. My husband had the bun with pulled BBQ pork which was so tasty. I highly recommend this place

Stopped by here for two sushi«sandwiches» — actually really big sushi rolls. My ahi roll was great– fresh seared ahi with sprouts, lettuce, wasabi mayo, and a side salad with a small cup of yummy potato salad. My bffs veggie roll like a big veggie maki roll, rich with sweet potato and avocado, she loved it! The truck is clean and happy, and even the location is ok, by the road but next to a canal, with warm ocean breezes. Five stars for all that!

By far the best meals we had during our vacation in Lihuie. Don’t miss this place. Especially loved the ahi wrap and pulled pork sandwich.

This was one of our favorite places in Kauai and thank goodness we found it before we returned back to NYC. The pork doesn’t look the most appetizing but it is wonderfully flavored and had been marinated for 12 hours. The ginger in the fried chicken(karagi, Japanese style, extra crispy and not super greasy) is subtle. My husband who doesn’t love ginger, raved about the nori wrap with seaweed, rice, avocado, fried ginger chicken, and vegetables. Perfect proportional balance of meat and rice. Potato salad is a combination of mashed and chunky, with bits of cabbage and carrot for crunchy surprises.

I“m not sure that 1 dollar sign is accurate, as many of the wraps hit 13 dollars. Still, that shouldn’t dissuade any would be visitors. Kikuchi’s(for the eponymous chef) specializes in effectively Nori-wraps. Instead of Pita wrapped stuff, or Nori wrapped california rolls/temaki, Kikuchi-san has a style of Japanese-American fusion that keeps some of the best aspects of both in clear view. The rolls are much larger than typical te-maki, and have spades of fresh vegetables, including avocado, alfalfa, cucumbers and the like(depending on the wrap), as well as ahi or fried chicken — again depending on what is ordered. The raw materials are very fresh, and I have to say the Japanese styled potato salad is scrumptious. Highly recommended.

Great food. Had the fried chicken on steamed bun, and pulled pork. Both were excellent, salad dressing is garlicky and so delicious.

Get the pulled pork steam bun… phenomenal. The potato salad is not to be missed and the ahi sushi with salad is delicious. Larger portion sizes than usual for a food truck. Consider going for a meal rather than a snack.

We visited Kauai, from foodie-jaded San Francisco. Kikuchi is the best food truck ever. The food is extremely delicious and fresh. The mixture of Asian and Hawaiian ingredients they use is amazing match. Be prepared to wait for a bit for food being cooked, it’s not a fast-food. Personnel is very polite and helpful too. We came twice, 2nd time — in purpose, from Princeville. Yes, 1 hour drive just to have a lunch at food truck. I’m not kidding. Viva Kikuchi!

I love this place. Great friendly service & most of all a delicious experience. I had the tasty Ahi Tuna Wrap and the flavors was so amazing. The Ahi was so fresh, the side salad that came with the wrap was out of this world. Love how they use local ingredients. Great location, amazing food! What more do you need… A hidden gem that is definitely worth trying!

Great local kine grinds! Quick, hot, and full of flavor. Right across the street from the Marriott, between the Harbor Mall and the Ocean Front shops. Easy access and plenty of free parking. The pork bun was hot and fresh, but actually tasted better without the overpowering, spicy sauce that came with it. Go clean and natural. The Ginger Fried Chicken was very onolicious! A definite come back for kind of dish. Fries were hot, fresh, & crispy. Good job.

My husband and I were on Kauai for vacation and we too have an affinity for food trucks. :) This one rocked it! We were starving and ordered the Philly pepper steak steam bun with fries and the ahi tuna sushi wrap with salad and potato salad. Both were beautifully presented and completely delicious. The Philly was piping hot and the bread was melt in your mouth softness. The tuna was fresh and exactly what I wanted — though a bit messy. Only negatives — the seasoning on the fries wasn’t my favorite(a little sweet) and I’d switch out my fountain soda for a big bottle of water. Otherwise, it’s fabulous! And just so you know, we eat at a lot of food trucks. You could say we have an affinity ;)

My wife and I were in Kauai for our honeymoon and we both have an affinity for food trucks. We were staying and the Marriott and noticed that the food truck Kikuchi’s was not far away so we thought we would try it. We were not disappointed. The food was inventive and extremely fresh. I had the fried chicken steamed bun sandwich with homemade steamed buns and my wife who is GF had the fresh ahi sushi wrap. Both were delicious. This was some of the best food we’ve had on the island and it was comparatively cheap to any other lunch option. This is truly a hidden gem that is well worth trying.

Great manapua style roll philly cheesesteak with lawrys french fries. The ahi wrap was great. It’s like a giant tuna roll with all the wrap fixin in it.

Kikuchi’s fresh and thoughtfully crafted Ahi Tuna Wrap, BBQ Pork Bao sandwich, and organic side salads offer a welcome respite from overpriced touristy grub. (Mahalo Kikuchi!)

This food truck is PLATINUM! We found it just outside of Lihue as we were driving and decided to pull over and give it a try… AMAZINGDECISIONWEMADE! The owner of the truck was great and knowledgable, checking in twice with us as we were eating to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. As for the food, we we’re served an outstanding spin on classic Asian dishes. I ordered the sushi wrap, which contained perfectly seared, melt in your mouth Ahi with a sesame rub. The wrap was dressed with a wasabi mayo. I chose to have their salad as my side, which was simple, but dressed with an OUTOFTHISWORLD tangy, garlic dressing. My boyfriend got their ginger karaage steam bun sandwich. The karaage was perfect and the steam bun was fresh and tender, not chewy in the slightest! He enjoyed their fries on the side which were seasoned to awesomeness! Don’t miss this awesome spot!
