Great cozy outdoor environment, relaxing little shaded patio. Friendly staff. Family history and story are interesting. Wines are also wonderful, among one of the best wine tasting flights that I have had yet. The price is also one of the cheapest yet. I will be marking this on the list of placed I will return to.

so charming! Chase and Evan took great care of us while we were there for a friend’s bachelorette. Would definitely go relax here on any afternoon and enjoy their wine!

Wine is so subjective, so rating on Unilocal is not based on that(even though we left with a few bottles), but on experience. The staff is great… super friendly, running around trying to fill everyone’s glasses. Even when it’s packed(and it has been standing room only everytime we’ve gone), they make an effort to connect with you. The family owners are always hanging around ready to welcome you in, chit chat and make you feel like family. They always have good tunes playing… smiles all around.

Oh how my friends and I adore the Carhartt’s. It’s easy to get obsessed with the wine, vibe and tribe that make up the Carhartt Vineyard tasting room and team. It’s so much charm, and such a perfect vibe. High end mixed with comfortable and very genuinely friendly. I love you this group of people and I more than love the rose’. SOGOOD. Thanks for making trips to Los Olivos such a great time!

What a great find. Los Olivos and Carhartt Winery made for a great afternoon. Historic and the staff is extremely knowledgeable of the area and vines. Building has been here since 1910 and the wine décor is fantastic. Joining the wine club and definitely coming for the barbeque in June. Dillon is a great host. Thanks for the great time.

Great little place tucked in at the end of a row of tasting rooms. There’s a great patio in the back that’s great on a nice day. Staff was quick with a joke and talked to us about the wines like regular people rather than treating us like noobs. We enjoyed the petite sirah.

This was a cute place and had to try it. The gentleman was a pleasure and made us feel like we already knew him for years! I loved the experience in this place.

Tasting at Carhart was a great experience. The server was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions pleasantly and completely. We enjoyed the wine, especially the Syrah — Cab blend. We’ll be returning to taste and buy more red wine.

For a laid back and fun wine tasting experience with some fabulous wines and super fun conversation, this is THEPLACE to go in DTLO. Joe was fabulous as were the wines. In particular the Merlot was standout and the Zin was fruity and bright. Will definitely be back.

Great wines, the cutest place to sip wine outside! Their back patio/garden is adorable and so lovely! Devon was super helpful and Devon was absolutely great and very knowledgeable!!! Very impressed and can’t wait to come back! P. S. I love the fact that Carhartt stays open later than other tasting rooms in Los Olivos! Perfect place to end the wine tasting afternoon!

This place I found by searching and reading reviews and they are spot on. The best place to wine taste and also has the best red wines around. Our group of 6 was served by the manager, Dylan, who was awesome. Our favorite was the petite sarah wine that was excellent and worth every penny. This place is small and charming, arrived at 11:30am to ensure it wasn’t busy. Was still close to capacity but very nice. Returned in the evening to purchase some bottles of wine after being disappointed at other major wineries like Fes Parker. This place is a must go to! Don’t even think about going, just go.

Went twice. Joined the wine club. Ordered a case as soon as I got home because I couldn’t wait until the first delivery. What more needs to be said. Good things do indeed come in small packages, and tasting rooms.

A really fantastic experience, Carhartt Vineyard’s tasting patio is welcoming with a knowledgeable and friendly staff. They tables feel intimate and are fun for small or large groups. The wine was nice, but the real reason to go is the right atmosphere for relaxing and enjoying wine. Also, I might be a little drunk writing this. They tended towards a heavy pour :)

This was such a cute spot. It was also the 3rd destination for us and we were pretty drunk by then. They offer 7 wines for their tasting and only charge $ 10 which is cheaper than all the other tasting rooms. The outside area, although pretty tiny, was definitely happening. There were a lot of people and it was fairly loud. Our server, Dylan, was a pretty cool guy and the wines here are pretty good. I would recommend checking this one out if you’re in the area!

As cozy as you can get, which I love. The space out back is just too cool… and the new tasting room manager, Dylan(Dillon?) is a sweetheart who has a great life story and amazing recommendations. This place is always classy… and that most definitely includes the family, who go out of their way to take care of their own and the locals in need. Without getting into specifics, they will always have my patronage because their wine is outstanding… big and bold… but not nearly as big and bold as their hearts! Thank you for doing things right!!!

Carhartt is one of the better wine tasting spots in Los Olivos. This is off the wine trail and on the Promenade where you can walk and shop without having to drive from vineyard to vineyard. Carhartt is known for their tiny tasting room at the front, but head on over to the nicer and larger patio in the back. This is a far more relaxed and cozy atmosphere than other tastings rooms. I didn’t feel like I had to make any profound comments about the wines poured. The were fine to let you sit and enjoy life. All the workers were young, but knowledgable about the wines and the family who owned it. Most of the wines on the tasting menu were reds /red blends. I didn’t particularly like the blends, but the last wine was a dessert wine, a Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc was my favorite! We weren’t looking for a dessert wine, but we enjoyed it so much we picked some up. It didn’t hurt that everyone working was super friendly. Since there were no obvious attempt to persuade me to buy a bottle, I ended up with two. Hahaha, reverse psychology maybe? Note that if you buy two bottles they waive the $ 10 tasting fee.

First tasting room we tried amongst a few in town. Nicely busy on a Wednesday evening — but our steward took the time to fully explain each wine, and answer some more eclectic questions about the region. Such as the origin of Tri Tip in the area and why I’ve loved it for years. Their website has a great Google panable view of the outdoor tasting area…

What’s with the two ts in the name? That’s my only question. It looks like someone fell asleep on the keyboard while typing the name. Yes, the tasting room is small but more importantly, it is a laid back and friendly spot and I thought the wines were pretty darn good. They didn’t skimp on the tasting pours(like a lot of places do) and even offered to hit me up again with my favorites. Now, that is smart business.

I really like the relaxing vibe and quality of the wine at Carhartt’s Tasting Room in Los Olivos. Normally, the thought of going to Tasting Rooms offsite isn’t really that interesting to me because I like to see the actual vineyard, but Los Olivos is such a quaint little town just full of tasting rooms. One of these days I would like to just stay at the Fess Parker Inn and pop into all the tasting rooms in town. My good friend and Unilocaler Mel D. recommended Carhartt, so I decided to check it out. We were staying a couple miles away at the Alisal Ranch, so I just had my husband and son drop me off and pick me up when I was finished. When I walked in it was a very cute place. The first room has a little bar and you can sit there or go out to the patio with nice chairs and a fountain. The tasting fee is $ 10 if you don’t buy anything or it is free if you buy two bottles. I don’t normally care for Rose, but their Rose was really good. I purchased two bottles of their 2013 Chase the Blues Away Rose and gave one to my neighbor who took care of our dog while we were on vacation. The bottles were $ 21.00 each. When I return to Los Olivos I will definitely go to Carhartt Vineyard’s Tasting Room again.

Good times! This was our last stop before heading to our dinner reservations. The little blond(owner?) was just the funnest gal ever. She changed the music for us to boogie on down. Wines were great. Outdoor patio was lovely by the fountain and gorgeous night air. Everyone working there seemed to love each other like family. I just wish there were a restroom !!
