Heard about this quirky little vintage shop from the café A&E coffee on elm st in Manchester just a few blocks away. Just decided to pop in today and see what it’s all about. Some vintage shops are kinda sketchy however the Modern Gypsy’s atmosphere lives up to its name meaning its like a gypsy the clothing and items showcased in the store stray very far from the generic ideals of mainstream society. Most of the time I feel very out of place in such stores however the MG makes sure to reign in the chaotic vibe of typical thrift stores. The store is organized and minimalistic, each piece of clothing is one of a kind and selected via a secret process that only the owner would know. The constant playing of vinyl records and friendly staff makes your experience here more than«just browsing». I hear they also host a variety of music events however I have yet to attend one. There is something for everyone here especially if your interested in the 20th century. I recommend you come check it out.
