Always a wonderful experience. It is charming and quaint with all the greenery and orchids. The food ain’t bad either. I especially love the seasoned fries.

The décor is nothing short of magical. Ditto for the banana pancakes. You will not regret a visit to Sloopy’s. The place has genuine character. They also have a handy take out counter.

Super chill place to eat! Sandwiches are great especially if you eat clean. Place really reminds me of Final Fantasy IX Black Mage Village for you gamers out there haha

Nice selection of basic foods with an elegant twist. The quality of the food is better than average, and the atmosphere of the dining area is excellent(nice backyard type of setting, very pleasant). The staff are friendly, and patient.

Plant paradise with rustic wooden tables. Sweet staff. Great vibe. Excellent milkshakes. I highly recommend this peaceful spot for work or a date.

This place is super funky, not your average burger joint or simply restaurant at all. The milkshakes are killer, so yummy. The burgers are juicy, and a good size. Plus the fries are goo goo gooood. This place is located a 30 second walk from the beach. Super pretty area.

I work around the corner and eat here once a week. This is truly my favorite and best food in El Porto. The ingredients are always fresh, locally sourced, and the portions are more than what you pay for. The staff is incredibly inviting and accommodating. The atmosphere it a little slice of a rainforest escape– perfect for a quant lunch, sip of wine after work or just a little solo-time. Check for their daily specials. always changing :) The ONLY negative thing I can say about Sloopy’s is flies during fly season… but don’t let that stop you. Order takeout :)

Such a lovely spot — we asked how long a wait for a table for 9 on a Saturday morning at 10am. The waitress was incredible — 2 minutes for a table she rocked our breakfast service. Great health drinks and smoothies. Extraordinary food — the specials are amazing! We had the Lobster Benedict — but even the ordinary like Huevos Rancheros was spectacular. Best brunch or lunch soot EVER! Just a block from the beach.

This is the second time i got a smoothie from this place. First time it tasted bad. The second time tasted just as bad. Inside looks cool and the people at the register seeme nice. I havent had any food from here since its a bit pricey for me. I just dont recommend the smoothies.

I love the casual style of this place. I have been coming here since the late 70s after a morning at the beach. The only thing I have ordered here is a hamburger, and it has always been great. They have an expanded menu now but I can’t rate anything other than the burger The people from years ago were more friendly. Sloopys is a unique place and recommend it

Sloopy’s is this little sandwich type place up in Manhattan Beach. We were just walking by and this was the first place we saw. They sell beer. I got fish tacos and shared them with friends while we sat and felt the warm breeze on our faces. I love California. I don’t know if people here know how sweet they have it. The tacos were delicious, so were the fries it came with. No waiter service, you order at a window and pick it up and clean up after yourself. No problem at all. I say stop by and check it out.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This place is absolutely a waste of money. Over priced for bad quality. The cashier woman was ridiculously rude, constantly rolling her eyes. I own a business and I know that you should put a smile on regardless if you had a long bad day. I’d rather eat at mc d and I haven’t stepped foot in that place In Over 5 years. Go down the street. Sharkeez, the bar had way better food for a way better price ! Don’t come here. It’s gross !

Our hotel a few doors away recommended This restaurant, we paused, it looked too hippy 70’s and casual. We decided to stay, and had a first class meal. The beer selection was full and the house wine was great. Had the portobello mushroom, marinara and cheese appetizer. The Seafood risotto and Ribeye with butter Gorgonzola were perfect, and loved the bread. Amazing. Large servings. Could barely eat half.

Since I live in the El Porto side of Manhattan Beach, Sloopy’s is an easy go-to delivery place for me when I want something cheap(relatively) and quick. I have tried many things on their menu, but the only thing I like is their chicken caesar wrap with seasoned fries. It is phenomenal when done right. I give this place 3 stars for the lack of consistency. Since I always order the exact same thing, I expect the same quality every time. When done right, their fries are very crisp, seasoned perfectly, and absolutely delicious and the chicken caesar wrap is filling and super fresh. Then, there are times when I would get super soggy fries as if they were left out from the day before, and a caesar wrap that is overly dressed or has soft soggy croutons or some other defect that makes it seem like a leftover rather than a fresh meal. I still order it though, it’s just so easy to call and have them deliver right to my front door on a lazy day.

I don’t get the big deal about this place. First, beyond it having an interesting if not bizarre interior décor, the wooden log slab tables reek of varnish and are sticky when you rest your arms on them. Not really appetizing or comfortable. The menu does have good variety and prices are fair, but it really does taste way more like average diner food than what I was expecting from all these Unilocal reviews. Also, prices have increased by what look to be at least a buck or two per most menu items listed here on the Unilocal menu page, just FYI. Sadly, my daughter who is 8 ordered the kids grilled chicken breast and it was flat, thin, over cooked, very dry. I have never seen a chicken breast sliced thin like that. Seriously weird. We did tell our server(who was sweet) and she took it off our bill without us asking. I think the fries were frozen from a bag. Not that big of a deal I guess, but considering they advertise all their food is fresh, sustainable, organic, etc., it just caught me off guard. My son had chicken nuggets and I’m pretty certain from the spongey look of the chicken that they were processed, not freshly prepared. Again, not what I would expect considering their claims. My wrap was drenched in dressing making the tortilla too soggy. I could see this being a good breakfast joint, but would never recommend it for dinner. We came here solely on reviews and had never seen the place before.

We’ll just come in here for WHATTHEHELLISTHISJUNGLEDOINGINTHERESTAURANT?! A few coworkers and I came here as a place to get some grub. She wanted to try it out because it had good reviews. As soon as you walk in the door, you start to wonder where the tables are because the only thing you see is a fire pit, and a sportload of plants. Seat yourself in the jungle after taking your order and wait for the grub to be called. The food here is pretty good, but I would assume for the price that they could drop it off at your table. meh, that’s me being demanding. I’d say their fries are probably the best thing I ate there. Parking is not so bad, despite being manhattan beach, the public parking lot is 2 blocks away.

Took one glance at the line for Four Daughters and decided to pop in here for an early Saturday morning breakfast. I’ve always felt that the fireplace here is one of the main attractions, but the house Eggs Benedict(with bacon!) is also very enticing. I also tried some of my friend’s apple pancakes, which were good if nothing special. The only downer was the fruit accompanying both breakfasts which did not appear to be ripe. That, and the lack of guava juice on the huge selection of juices and other beverages. Great service as always. If you are seated next to the fireplace, be careful to change your position occasionally so that you do not roast.

I used to come here often when I lived nearby. After 6 years, the place hasn’t changed much. Great place to come near the beach. Parking can be a bit tricky as it’s mostly metered and some residential. This is one of the best places to come when you don’t want to be stuck waiting in line on the weekends. I love the indoor/outdoor seating with a tropical theme with plants and fountains surrounding you. Order at the counter and they bring the food pretty quick. Food: 1. Hawaiian Teriyaki Burger w/side of salad– Pretty tasty with pineapple and smothered in a warm terikyaki sauce. 2. Mushroom and Cheddar Burger w side of fries– Good. Nothing spectacular, but all the burger patties seem pretty thick. Lots of fries to share with everyone. 3. Mahi Mahi Burger– My friend said that it was one of the best she’s ever had. 4. Ahi Tuna Salad– Beware, that thick green sauce on the side is wasabi, not guacamole! I didn’t try it, but my friend seemed pleased.

Love the organic, rainforest feel upon walking into this place– there are hanging plants, tillandsias, tree stump benches and tables, wall gardens all over the dining area, and a fireplace in the front center for when it cools down and the moon is out. Essentially there are 3 tiers of patio with a slightly different ambiance in each. I had the Numero Uno Burger for $ 9.75, a tasty treat with ortega chiles and guacamole, and a small mountain of tangy coleslaw on the side(the kind of coleslaw NOT drenched in mayonnaise, this was GOOD!). Bacon for $ 3.00 extra. They have a wide selection of fresh juices, salads, and smoothies. Service is minimal– order at the counter, and pick it up from the counter. Enjoy the scenery. For all of the fly complaints– the seating area is essentially a covered patio, and therefore OUTDOORS. Yes, a hidden fly trap might be in order, but I didn’t find them to be much of an issue where I was sitting.

Es caro y la comida no está buena. Ordené la ensalada ahi y el pescado estaba seco y sin sabor. Los precios son elevados.
