Worst service I’ve ever had at any Applebee’s, rather drive half an hour further to Richardson!
My sister and I went for lunch today as soon as we walked in it was bad, it took them a while to notice us so we were just awkwardly standing at the door. Once we were finally sat the server, her name was Stacey, failed to be even slightly nice to us. First time we saw her was when she practically flew by our booth and swiped her card. Once she finally made it to our table to take out order it got worse. I asked for the 4 cheese Mac n cheese, which by the way was the only reason why I wanted to go to Applebee’s, she shut me down and said «uh, yeah you can’t order that we don’t have any,» I ordered something else and my sister ordered BBQ ribs. 15 minutes later she comes back to say that they also do not have ribs and my sister orders something else as well. Once we got our food my sister wanted some hot sauce, 15 minutes later once our cups were empty and we were half way done with our food she showed up and we asked her if we could have a side of hot sauce which we also never got. My sister stopped eating and waited for the sauce which she never got after waiting for a while she moved her plate to the side and said she wanted to leave. We waited for someone to come check on us for a while and I guess we were obvious about it because another server came to check on us and offered a to go box and the check. A long while later we got the check and got out of there, never again will I step foot in that place!

Really Bad service. My mom ordered soup and sandwich. She did not like it. It made her sick. The French onion soup was all cheese hardly any liquid at all. They didn’t even put bread in it. We will not return. The silver ware was dirty. The gave us three sets. They were all dirty. The management team took off my mom’s meal. That will be the last time that we eat there.

Absolutely horrible. Waited almost 15 minutes before anyone took our drink order. When he came over he acted like it was another servers area but he was the only one on that side. We got the pick three. We asked for wings and two orders of cheese sticks. After 40 minutes I started to get up to go find a manager, our waiter finally came back to our table. He told us that the cooks were changing out the grease and that’s what took so long. So our food came. We got three plates. One plate had 4 wings. One plate had 4 sticks and the other plate had 4 sticks. Really??? 4 of each. We waited an hour to get two teas and this… pitiful!
Oh but man when it was time to pay the check the server was all over us. Came back numerous times to check on that. I thought about getting a manager but by this time I just wanted out of there. Will not be going back into that restaurant. By the way, it wasn’t busy. If it had been I would cut them some slack. This was just very very poor service and management.

Had a great time at the bartop! If you are In town you need to come see Arturo (Tury) and Mia at the bar. Friendliest down to earth bartenders you will ever find! Overall great drinks, best happy hour appetizers, and overall satisfied with the service!!! I would definitely recommend this location to all my friends.

Horrible service! My friend ordered a medium rare item and they cooked it to a well done. The server we had only brought our drinks to us. Never once brought any of our food out or checked on us afterwards. Our server asked if he wanted to make another one, but my friend didn’t want it. Usually when something goes wrong, a manager would come to the table and ask if everything was okay. But that never happened. Don’t come to this location for food. Just come for «drinks»

i wouldn’t give it any stars but i did get waited on, and i did get food. terrible experience.
not much too like. i had a soggy cold triple hog dare ya, about a teaspoon of pulled pork on it. i told the waitress, she said that’s just they way they do it here. i have had it at other applebee’s it was much better. i asked to speak to the manager. he was sitting in a booth, his name is drew. he told her something and she went into the kitchen and brings back some microwaved beef slices. he looked at me walked by us and never even acknowledged us. then he asked another table if everything was ok, then went outside. when he came back in, looked at us again and went to the back. i am polite and have never been so dismissed as a customer. i will tell every one i know how dirty and nasty the place is, rude staff and manager. too many choices around to spend my hard earned money there. i will never go back!!!

Very poor customer service up front. When you walk in, the hostess takes your name and that’s it. Never greeted us, never told us to wait and sit down, we basically stood in front of her…
As we waited for her to call us, we just watched her wrap the utensils with napkins. She’s grabbing the utensils by the tip with her bare hands. Very unsanitary!
We were seated eventually and server got our drinks. We then waited 40+ minutes to place our order and another 30+ minutes to get our orders. Chips were stale.

Their lack of customer service is what has ruined this location. We waited 15 minutes before leaving because our drink order had not been taken. The four people sanding around would not acknowledge us to let us know when our server would help us. Truly a sad and disappointing experience.

Chips were stale, and took 10 mins to get. Server stated bartender didn’t know how to make a Tom Collins (gin & soda) and since they don’t carry coke the bar can’t make crown & coke? It’s not the same with Pepsi.
Food finally came, and it was good. Overall setup as a restaurant is good, just didn’t get the best server this time.

Great nightly specials. Half price apps and happy hours drinks 9– close. Come on down and join us.

Service is horrible, I haven’t been to Applebee’s in a long time because of their service but decided to give it a try again. It still hasn’t gotten any better. Took 10 minutes to get a server and when she came went to the table that was seated last. So far it is looking it will be my last try at any Applebee’s. It must be a requirement to have bad service at all their locations. I ordered water and received a Dr. Pepper instead. Starting off bad again.
Bumped it to 3 stars from 1 due to once being noticed, service was better and food was really good. Not sure if it is worth going back to any again however.

I wrote a review last year about this location. It used to be our favorite, but something has gone wrong with our beloved Applebees. We went there last night and our entire experience can only be described as a cluster f*ck and epic fail. When we were seated things seemed ok as we got our drinks in a reasonable amount of time, but it went downhill from there. I husband ordered chips and salsa as an appetizer, a soup to eat before his entrée, and his entrée. I ordered a salad to eat before the entrée and my entrée. My salad and his soup came out after a little longer than expected except that my salad was prepared incorrectly. I sent it back to be fixed. It came back, still incorrect. I asked for the missing ingredient and was brought it for me to fix myself. How the hell do you f*ck up a salad — twice? We asked about the appetizer that should have come out first and was told it would be right out. Instead it came out with our entrees. We sent it back as what is the point of having an appetizer at the same time as the entrée? Luckily the entrees were good. Then to add insult to injury, both my husband and I finished our iced teas at the same time. Our waiter took forever to get a refill and then only brought my husband one and neglected mine. He had to put the glass on the table past both of our empty glasses. When I went to stop him and ask for mine I was ignored. We grabbed a waitress from another table and asked her but got nothing that way either. Furious by this time I told the hubby to ask for the check and some to-​go boxes. The check was brought out with my salad taken off the check for obvious reasons and the appetizer removed as we never had the chance to eat it. Had to remind him again about the to-​go boxes. My husband gave his checkcard to pay and the receipt was brought out. Our bill mysteriously went from $ 38 to $ 67!!! At this point my husband lost it and told him hell no, that was not right and he refused to pay it. It was eventually fixed but our waiter only brought us the guest copy and no merchant copy to sign. At this point I grabbed the manager and gave him my laundry list of problems of the evening. He was apologetic, got the merchant copy for us to sign (I was gonna be damned to have someone fill it out for us and put a tip they didn’t deserve). The manager also gave us a certificate to use for our next visit. We might use it but I don’t see it being at that location.

My husband and I stopped in for a quick dinner on a Wednesday night. There was no wait, and the restaurant was not crowded at all. We were seated promptly at a table. We looked over our menus and decided on our meals. After talking for a while longer and watching three servers continue to pass our table and quite obviously avoiding eye contact, I walked up to the hostess stand and asked if we had a server. She looked stunned and asked what table number we were at. I replied that I am unsure as to the table number, but pointed across the empty restaurant to where my husband was seated. I told her we have been waiting for over 15 minutes to be acknowledged. She said she would handle it. After I had sat back down, she walked up to a server at a nearby table and pointed to us. The server, one that had walked by no less than a dozen times, said she knew we were there. We then watched her pass by us a few more times, again avoiding eye contact. We got up and left. I told the hostess that we were not staying and she said, «Yeah.» It is a full moon, but we will not be returning.

Food was terrible! Service sucked! Our waiter actually asked us not to order too much. ??? Because we probably wpuldnt finish it!?! Really bro?!
Had plenty of drinks between our crew, all tasted like candy and watered down.
Bewn here plenty of times but after this night ill probably not go back.

The only reason this location is getting more than 1 star is because they happen to have delicious food.
I’ve been to this particular location exactly three times, and I’ve never had the BEST experience, but the last one was definitely the worst.
My boyfriend and I had caught a movie at the theater not too far off, and were walking home when we began passing the restaurant. Both a little hungry, and in favor of the nice deal they had going on, we decided to stop it for dinner.
We were seated right away and the server (a young man looking to be about nineteen or twenty) was quick to get our drinks, but that was the only thing he did right for the rest of our stay. We both ordered fairly simple, common meals from the 2 for $ 20 deal, so I don’t see why it took 30 minutes. But after we got our food, we almost never saw our server again.
About an hour goes by of us just talking and eating. Except we finished eating within about thirty minutes, and had complied our plates neatly to make it easier for the bus boy, and to make it obvious we were done and waiting for a check.
Our server passed our table several times, made eye contact with both of us, and yet continued to ignore us every time we tried to flag him down. We’d wave as he passed, and even went so far as to call for him right as he passed. I was baffled by what was keeping him so busy. I watched him for 10 minutes as he talked to the hostess, and then returned to his station and stood around texting.
Finally he brought over our check, but by this time I was furious. Normally I leave a tip for bland service (i.e. the server doesn’t really talks to us, but brings our stuff in a timely manner and it usually readily available to refill drinks or bring our check). But this service was just appalling. He knew we were trying to get our attention and purposely ignored us.
While we were waiting I had sat with a cash tip prepared to leave it on the table, but after that ordeal, I was more than happy to stuff it back into my wallet. There’s doing the base minimum of what’s required of you for your job, and then there’s just not doing it at all.
We sat there for another 20 minutes as our server stood in the back corner texting and talking with his coworkers despite our continued attempt to flag him down. Another server, who was far more friendly, took it instead and brought our card back. We then made it a point to hand her specifically the tip we planned to give to our service just for the fact that she saw a customer in need and jumped in, even if it wasn’t her place.
I can’t say I’ll never go back that, but I would definitely warn others to proceed with caution.

Great happy hour deals! Love the tower quesadillas and most all of salads! I think it is actually the only place in Mesquite that is open until 2am!

We had lunch at this location and found there are several menu items that are very reasonably priced. We all three opted for the Salad/​Soup. The oriental salad was fresh and of good size. I had the corn chowder. The food was served promptly and efficiently. The soup was at the just right temperature. It was delicious. The other two in the party ordered exactly the same and all were pleased with their lunch. The price was also very good, ($ 5.99).

Went here Sunday Feb.12^th. We received prompt seating but as soon as we sat down the nightmare started. Our waitress did not know the drinks they had. had to go to the back and check (took about 6min.) Next we ordered our food… she come back 5 min later… says «What you order again»? So we had to tell her our whole order again. Our food comes and she leaves… my chicken is almost frozen cold… we get a hold of her and tell her. She takes it back and takes about 8min. then we had to ask her «Hows that chicken coming along?» she says. oh let me go check. She had forgotten she took it back. Well let me just say the chicken was still cold… but we were not going to go back and forth again. Lets just say if she had been a little more respectful on how she approached and talked to us she might have gotten a tip.
Poor girl. she was so worried about getting as many tables as she could she did not care what kind of service she was giving.

This place is very friendly and the staff very attentive.
