Mediterranean Express Grill

I like Mediterranean food so when l feel like some l come here if l am in the area. Like if I was shopping at the shops of Montebello.

Love this place!!! Will definitely be back. Food is always fresh, healthy and literally made in front of you. Enjoyed number 15 the other day.

Ooopaa this is the place for Bulgarian chicken and tabouli is the best. Just to many kids running around mall. Damn came on a Thursday night and got fooled.

Great food !!! Guys go here the food is amazing and tons of food I mean good for 2 people to eat and share !!! I got the number 9 special and I barely finished it … Been coming here for 9 years and never seems to disappoint me in any way. Little chubby man is funny said he will take care of me special every time :)

Wait 45 minutes to get the Special Combo plate. I came to ask, the cashier acted like nothing happened!

Good stuff! Had the Bulgarian chicken plate. I’d get it again. Don’t eat here if you’re in a hurry though. takes a while to get your food but it’s cool though because the reason is they actually have to take the time to cook it.

This place is the best! The cashier Cindy is literally the nicest personable person. I love the chicken kabob and the rice from this place definitely one of my frequented spots.

I was a little disappointed just grabbed food and the cashier got it alllllll wrong! The chicken was tasty was hoping to try the rice but no rice no cooked chile or anything so I was a little disappointed

I have been coming here for about 3 years now and I always order the #11 chicken kabo = $ 9.27 with tax.
The chili is a hit and miss on spicy level. Tomato roasted delicious. The rice with extra chicken sauce is always my weakness. I also very much enjoy the fresh cucumber salad.

No mall food court can compare to this place, the Mediterranean food here is simply the best

I have recently become a huge fan of Mediterranean food and I have tried some really good spots. Came here for some shopping and seen there was a Mediterranean spot in the food court I couldn’t have been happier.
However what I got was disgusting,
The bread had small mold spots and the falafel was hot on the outside and cold on the inside. The hummus had 0 flavor and I was altogether disgusted. I went back and told the young girl working there, she gave good customer service and was polite HOWEVER the manager or owner was RUDE. He started yelling at me telling me I was lying, and so did the cook that was working at the time. I simply laughed it off and happily took my refund. NEVER AGAIN will I have that «Mediterranean» food

I absolutely love this place. I work at the mall and mall food is usually gross but I tried this place and omg it was delicious. I always get the #9 beef and chicken with rice, pita bread, Hummus and large coke with light ice. I don’t like the cucumber salad so I always get the hummus. It is to die for. They only give you one pita bread so either bring your own or you can purchase more.

I see people complaining about the wait time, I suppose it depends on what time of the day you go. There might be a long wait at noon, I was there at night and there was no delay.
All the options at the Montebello Mall Food Court are small restaurants with limited kitchens.
If Express Grill keeps you waiting its because everything is fresh cooked for you.
My friend had a chicken plate from Aloha Restaurant next door to Express Grill, and he was instantly disappointed with his plate. I gave him a good portion of my Express Grill order which he savored. I gave him my roasted chile, roasted tomato, half of my pita bread and part of my chicken and beef. He loved it!
Of course the menu is less expansive than at a similar full service restaurant.
But Express Grill is one of the best options at the food court.
My plate, the Chicken and Beef Special was $ 10.20 and a good value.
Tasty, tender meat, better rice than at the mentioned restaurant next door.
If you eat at a food court you need to judge the food according to those standards.
All the restaurants give you tiny free samples, so check out several restaurants and see which you like better.
Charley’s Philly Cheese Steaks is also good.
See’s Candy inside the mall on the same first level is always good for a free sample, good for dessert.

My favorite lunch, when working nearby, for 10 years. Really miss my chicken breast kebab with cucumber salad and the extra baked tomato that I’d order. Would always call my order in when driving over, as they make everything fresh.

After few years am back and still the same good food…

Very tasty food cooked when you order so takes 10 – 15 min to be ready. Mine took a bit longer cuz I got the trout, crispy just the way I love it. I seen comments complaining about the time the only thing to say it’s FOOD IS FRESH so it’s getting cooked ITS NOT MICROWAVED. Another thing I seen complaints about its the portions. I barely finish my fish couldn’t eat all the rice, pita, and salad. I looked around and there’s pple sharing their plate so that sounds like it’s enough for two people (well it depends how you eat hugh) To finish all this up Love the food takes a bit of time so be aware of that but I don’t mind cuz in all the food court the Mediterranean Grill it’s tops the best!

This place used to be good in all aspects. However, service has gotten HORRIBLE!!! After, waiting over 15 minutes, they told me my order hadn’t been placed. They were barely going to submit my order, when I told them just to give me my money back. They went ahead and gave me my order immediately. The cashier has no idea what she’s doing and whoever is in charge of training her is also doing a horrible job. Although the food is great, I doubt I’ll be coming back anytime soon.

Good food, good service, next time I will order two pita breads. The hummus is a good portion.

What can I say about this place ??? This place is amazing, I’ve been a customer here for about 10 years and everytime I visit this place gets better and better. My favorite is the number 9 special. Yummy in my tummy. So much food it’s good for 2 people to eat and enjoy all the juicy and beefy food. This place is one of a kind and being in the food court of a mall is like an insult to this place, the staff is great very friendly ‚
Who ever the chef is I want to say thank you, for bringing flavor to food court :)
I see all these people on here comparing about food and wait time and all that stuff, first of all this is not a fast food place this isn’t something u buy from mcdonalds that they put in the microwave and heat up for u, this is REAL FOOD made right Infront of you and made fresh from scratch and if u can’t understand that then u don’t know what really barbecue is, and second of all waiting a little more than 5 mins for your food is not going to kill you, its made on a grill and it’s fresh that should give u some knowledge that they put their time into your food helllllllloooooo!!!‘
Anyway I recommend this place to anyone that wants a a great meal threw out the whole day, this is the best bang for the buck, today I walked in and got the chicken Brest Greek salad and wow !! It was the same as always FABULOUS !!!
My fellow friends go eat here u won’t regret, I don’t I’m going on 11 year as a customer to this wonderful establishment !
