This place has the best blueberry muffins. I asked, and yes, they are homemade. This is a wonderful café that has good coffee, WiFi, comfortable couches and chairs, and a laid-back vibe.

Really cool environment, located close to the beach. The only guy that works there was super sweet and incredibly helpful. Awesome customer service from him made it easier to drown out the profane, completely inappropriate and degrading conversations spewing from the mouths of the younger female staff. Those girls were meanie butts. Iced coffee though, 10⁄10 would recommend.

Okay, why isn’t there one close to where I live?! One weird observation when I went last Summer: 90% of the patrons look like they are in the movie business. I kid you not. All good looking in the Hollywood sense of the word. For a moment, I thought I was back in Hollywood. Kind of adds to the feel of the spot, albeit unintentional on the part of the owners, I bet. Anyhoo…on to the review. Really digging the interior and ambiance of this spot. Casual, cool, comfy and eclectic furniture that enjoins the patron to sit down and actually take advantage of the free wifi, with music not too loud. The menu features just enough popular variety of coffee and tea for the enthusiast. The breakfast and lunch selections are inviting with plenty of healthy options(egg white frittata!, Acai bowl with fresh fruits, Kale salad, Chickpea quinoa, gluten free products) balanced by scrumptious cookie and dessert options(Ginger molasses! Mississippi Mud Pie!). I hope they will only use cage free eggs, in the tradition of their fair trade, organic coffee preference. Service was fast yet hepful, not rushed. As a regular of a chain coffeeshop brand, I sure would love to hang out at this joint instead if there was one near me. Perhaps the owners will consider putting a spot north of Narraganset… somewhere in Warwick… preferably by the airport… One improvement, if it can be done, is to make the restroom slightly bigger and a bit off/hidden from the main area. Otherwise, everythings um… er…cool beans…

Good environment to do work. Cool beans has the atmosphere of what a good coffee house should be. Definitely one of the best in southern Rhode Island.

Easily my favorite coffee shop in RI! I usually get a caramel iced coffee and it’s absolutely perfect. I order it black and the caramel lightens it just a tad. Result is a dark iced coffee with a hint of sweetness. So refreshing. I enjoy the atmosphere and The comfortable seating. If you have a sweet tooth there’s plenty to try. Very polite staff.

This is a great spot. It’s close to the water, has fun, youthful décor, and quite a bit of seating. The coffee is good, so are paninis, but the Buddha Bowl is really something to order if you enjoy nutrient-dense food. Nice employees and decent music(better depending on the baristas present). Would definitely return if on that side of town.

I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of Cool Beans; hot spiced chai is comforting, most staff — pleasant, polite. Negatives: Furniture is worn and uninviting; floors need a good washing as well as an updated décor. Some staff need lessons in manners — attitude is one of «I really do not want to work .» Food looks sketchy, stale not fresh or appetizing. Too bad. Great potential but needs TLC. Joanne

This is a very average place with cool cozy décor inside. The hot coffee tasted average with no special flavors. I’d rank this place slightly better than dunkin coffee. My significant other got a banana smoothie which tasted like Gerber food. It was good for a one time thing only. They use syrup for the flavoring. Overall, I probably won’t come back unless I’m in dire need of caffeine.

Horrible service. I was there around 2:00 on Sunday — July 19th. While I know you get what you get when you hire 20-somethings to work at a coffee shop over the summer… someone needs to teach those girls a few things about prioritizing, customer service, and cooking behind the scenes. 1. a group of girls(three 16 year olds) ran in front of my cousin and I and behind my sister. Whatever. I was holding water hoping to order and iced coffee and pay quick and easy. The girls order food — then BOTH of the girls working proceeded to make the food. Designate ONE person to do the food prep. 2. smile and be polite… apologize for the wait. Anything. 3. If I were order a salad with mango on it — I’d definitely not want to see you pull the frozen bag of «Dole mango chunks» for my salad. Like I said — you get what you get when you hire young people. BUT someone should be training or something… Also — the iced coffee was flavorless. Tasted like coffee water.

A nice café with a variety of pastries and coffees as well as wine. We ordered cappuccinos which were delicious! The atmosphere is nice and comfortable. We didn’t stay long but if I was in the area, I would certainly get another coffee here!

Absolutely love Cool Beans! My family and I discovered this café a few years ago while vacationing at a beach house nearby in Narragansett. It was within walking distance, so as soon as we realized we loved it there, we walked there every morning for breakfast. We live 45 minutes away and gladly take the drive down to have their great coffee and paninis anytime of year. The atmosphere is wonderful, service is always pleasant, and the food is awesome. It is our FAVORITE place for coffee and a small bite to eat.

Great gluten free muffins! Honestly best ones I’ve had. Great almond lattes! Unlike Starbucks mom and pop stores understand that most people don’t actually drink soy. The bf had a kale mango and pumpkin salad. It was fresh, delicious, and light. Oh and free internet

I’ve had great coffee and chi tea latte here. The Hot chocolate– not so much. If you do grab a hot cocoa ask for a little extra chocolate and ask they mix it up for you otherwise it will taste like water. My Chi tea latte was fantastic. I got the spiced kind-not vanilla and it was just right. Sweet enough but not sweet. Kind of like Starbucks but not. Very pleased. The décor is great. Funky and hip. You feel like your in a Bohemian surf shop in Southern Cali. OR Narraganset. They have drinks for all kinds of caffeine and non caffeine fans. Smoothies too. Prices are pretty reasonable. They have some food although I haven’t eaten here. Service was fine but non of them were in a rush and one girl was training. I’ll be back for my next coffee! Space to sit and relax and read the paper. The parking lot is small and shared with a few other shops. There’s street parking but good luck in the summer!

Pumpkin iced coffee in August, need I say more? Cute little shop that can get pretty packed but the coffee is fricken’ delicious. Like, I’m thinking of driving down there just to get some. Offered lots of baked goods muffins and the like but I didn’t try any, maybe next time.

Cool Beans offers a good selection of drinks, sandwiches, and snacks for the hungry beach goers and active people of ‘Gansett. I enjoy their coffee and tea drinks, including their selection of chai. Their spiced version is quite delicious and made even better with a shot of espresso. Their veggie wrap was quite good and freshly made while I waited. The bread was absolutely delicious and believe was almost of a naan or similar variety. They heated it up filled with grilled veggies and hummus. So good and perfect for a hot day. They cut it in two and gave me a bag of chips as well. The whole meal was decently priced and super tasty. The location is convenient to anyone visiting the beach, riding their bike towards the towers, or just needing a quick bight before heading on to nearby areas. The plaza features other restaurants but I find Cool Beans tends to hit the spot for lunch, a snack, or a cafeneited beverage.

Went here for a quick lunch yesterday. Their paninis are $ 6.95 and they have a few to choose from, I got a mozzarella, pesto, and tomato one that was pretty good. It also comes with Cape Cod chips(yum!). Great place to check out before/after your beach travels.

Free Wifi. Nice staff. Pretty extensive menu. I was hung over so I only got a vitamin water and a banana. It really helped with my hangover. Will I come here again for vitamin water and a banana? YES.

Great place to grab breakfast before hitting the beach or spending the day with some Narragannset Locals. It gets crowded and they could use more seating but the tables rotate pretty quickly. I was a fan of the Egg Fritata’s.

Very cute café — they serve everything from coffee drinks and pastries to wine and panini, all in a cozy environment about a block from the ocean. Their peanut butter cup cookie and iced green tea are delicious and perfectly portioned, and they have a case of cold, prepared drinks to go. So why three stars? The music. THEMUSIC. I’ve never been so berated and irritated so constantly in such a short amount of time. Usually when I think of a work-friendly coffee shop with free wifi and cookies, I think mellow, cozy and chill. I think their music selection was as grating on my nerves as a coffee grinder is with beans — loud, constant and jarring. If you’re popping in for items to take away with you, you’ll be all set. Otherwise, bring ear phones or prepare for a Minaj-athon peppered with Fall Out Boy and bad hip hop.
