These guys make a solid hot dog. I always appreciate the good spirits of those that work there.

Just like everyone else is saying, these are the best hot dogs in Utah. Nobody else can compete. And I’d have to disagree with the people saying that they aren’t filling enough, I think they’re perfect. It is a little bit on the pricier side, but it’s worth it. Definitely stop by if you haven’t already had the pleasure.

I’ve got mixed emotions about this place. Yes, their dogs are tasty, there’s no doubt about it. The special sauce is very nice, as are all the available toppings. I like how they slice up the top of the dog and crisp it up a bit. Shoot, I even like the fact that they serve both Coke and Pepsi products and have fairly unique sodas that you don’t see at other restaurants. On the other hand, why doesn’t the dog come out both sides of the bun? The dog itself should be a little longer, in my humble opinion, or the bun should be shorter. Either way, I don’t like having two, big, bread-only bites. And $ 7 for a dog, some chips and a drink seems a little steep. Not because spending $ 7 bucks on a meal is a lot, necessarily, but because I never feel even close to full after eating a single dog, the chips and drink. But buying a second dog tops the price out at $ 11, and then I can’t help but start comparing this $ 11 dollar experience with other $ 11 meals out there, and it doesn’t compete. But in the end, if you’re in the mood for a dog, you won’t find one better. Just a few pros and cons to think about as you venture there for a meal.

It’s J Dawgs, of course I’m giving it 5 stars. I stop by every time I’m in town and it always satisfies. Polish with Special Sauce, Banana Peppers, Jalapenos, Onions(light), and a Pickle is my jam. On my last visit my buddy pounded 2 of them, and I gotta admit I was a little jealous.

Thick, juicy hot dogs from heaven! The staff is very friendly and the environment is enjoyable. I am not a fan of their chips, but the hot dogs and sauce are fantastic.

This is without question, bar-none the best hot-dog on the planet. Order the polish«dawg» with the special sauce. The special sauce is a must!!! If you don’t have that, you are wasting your time. ALSO they have one of the best GLUTENFREE buns I have ever had! They are amazing. Even if you don’t like the sauce, the bun is worth the trip if someone is sensitive to gluten. We are staying up in Sandy and are considering going back down to Provo on this trip just to get another dawg. Love this place.

Very good polish and all beef hot dogs. Simple, fresh, hot, fast, efficient. Clean restaurant. The special sauce is a must and is excellent. Definitely a place we will visit frequently when in Utah.

Some of the best things in life a little scary at first. –Trusting a glorified rubberband to catch you after you jump off a bridge –Punching a bully in the nose –Ordering a «double barreled» at Jdawg. The last, I just did today. I sauntered up to the counter. She asked«What would you like?» and I replied«Double barreled beef.» The color drained from her face as she whispered«Madre Dios!» After I was sent to the preparer, he laughed at my folly, but found a superior bun to handle the extra girth of TWO large franks. I asked for everything on it. He swallowed back his fear, and complied. When I pulled back the foil, the store went silent, and as I bit in a woman gasped. A child cried. It was brutal, violent, and AMAZING! It was nine bones for my double dog dare, chips and a drink, but when else does that level of badassery come so cheap?

J Dawgs is good. I wish their menu was a little more diverse, but i’m not complaining. I was a long time regular of the beef combo. Simple beef jdawg with sauce, chips and a drink. As of late, I have switched to the polish dog and have never looked back. I never realized how boring a regular beef dog was until I experienced the polish. With the same base flavors, the polish adds a little more kick and flavor over the traditional. I’m not crazy about all of the fancy toppings like onion and sauerkraut and what not, but this polish with sauce is about as good as it gets for a cheap hot dog. The portion sizes are pretty solid. Eating two would take some will power — i’m sure people do it all the time but I’d recommend the polish combo for the perfect amount of food. They typically will get you in and out of there pretty quickly — especially on the lunch hour. This is an important thing for me as I have limited time that I can be gone for lunch. Plenty of open seating, and lots of great staff. I’m not sure what else I can really write about this place. I do love that they have great drinks on top, including apple beer. If you haven’t tried a jdawg yet, you are missing out. Honestly. While you are there, do yourself a favor and buy a bottle of jdawg sauce to take home with you. You can put it on everything. Hamburger, steak, your scrambled eggs. It is dangerously addictive and everybody loves it.

Slow cooked beef hot dogs with special sauce is mind blowing. This place is a hidden gem. It’s actually worth visiting Utah County just to go to J Dawgs.

If you want a killer hot dog, J Dawgs is the place. I always get a beef dog with the«Special Sauce», which is a sweet bbq sauce of sorts, and banana peppers. The sauce is, in my opinion and probably most J Dawg patrons, what’s makes a J Dawg a J Dawg. I have friends from out of state that crave J Dawgs. They also have both Coke AND Pepsi, which in my opinion, is the greatest thing ever. Definitely a place I would recommend for a light lunch or even dinner.

Everyone, their grandparents, their dog, and their second cousins twice removed LOVE J Dawgs. You can’t throw a rock in Utah County without finding someone raving about J Dawgs. You can’t even walk through your school without being assaulted with a barrage of J Dawg’s number one fans shouting about J Dawgs and handing out coupons for J Dawgs and shoving J Dawgs in their J Dawg shaped mouth. …But they’re hot dogs. That they cut up a little bit and put a sweet barbecue sauce on it. I don’t get the hype. I don’t at all whatsoever. It’s not the best hot dog I’ve ever had, and it’s definitely not even close to being as amazing. But it’s not horrible and it doesn’t make me wish I was 1000 miles away from it when I’m eating it. BUTIT’S LITERALLY A HOTDOG and ITDOESN’T NEEDTHISEXCESSIVEFANBASE. Also, they take an unnecessary amount of time to give you the hot dog anyways. I feel like since they’re so unnecessarily popular, they would have more hotdogs hot and ready to be put in a simple bun, since that’s ALL A HOTDOGIS. I usually wait about 10 minutes to receive a hotdog while 4 – 5 people hang out back there in the kitchen and watch you watch them. This location is fine, ambience-wise. The artwork on the walls and on the tables is cool and eye-catching. But once again, for anyone not paying attention, it’s just a regular hot dog and it’s definitely not life-changing.

My usual, polish dog, kraut, onions and special sauce. Haven’t tried the beef dog yet, but if it’s anything like the polish, it’ll be good!

Best hot dawgs on the planet. Keep up the great work and move to Phoenix when you expand to other states in your quest for world hot dawg domination.

If I had to sum up my dining experience in one word it would be unimpressive. The menu is simple, only two options. I didn’t think the hot dogs were much better than a Ballpark or Nathan’s flavor wise. They are large for a hot dog but still over priced in my opinion.

Delicious, simple, and fast. The polish dog with special sauce, onions, and pickle is my go-to. Best dog I’ve ever had! Super cheap too.

Provo staple. Don’t need to describe it. You just need to eat here. Get the polish dawg. Special sauce and be adventurous with the mayo. It’s the way to go. This is a place that I come to every time I’m in the valley. Come here, you won’t be mad!

So let’s be honest, a hot dog is a hot dog. I have a hard time paying 400% for food I can make myself in a matter of minutes. However, J-Dawgs does make a great hot-dog cart dog. My favorite parts are the sauerkraut and of course, the J-Dawg secret sauce. Also, don’t forget they have Apple Beer(carbonated apple juice). If I’m in a quick hurry, I’ll grab something here because the wait time is virtually nothing and it does taste good. Though, I do miss the good olé times of when they cost $ 1.50 in that shack over by where the KMB used to be… and now I’ve dated myself.

This place serves up great dawgs! The frankfurters are fresh and delicious. They offer lots of different topping options, which are also fresh and flavorful. Next time, I’ll skip the«special sauce,» because it’s super sweet and sticky and I’m just not into that flavor on my hawt dawg. They have a very small menu here, which allows them to focus on one thing and to do it very well. If you want a fast break, but don’t want fast food. Go here!

I’m not sure if I can say this in Utah County? But… I’m no longer a J Dawgs virgin! And it feels great! The special sauce deserves the rave reviews it gets, every one. I ordered a polish dog, with THE sauce; pickles and mustard. I kept it simple, and savored every bite. The bun was fresh, and delectable. Their soda fountain dispensed more than the usual fare. You never see Squirt available anymore, and they had it here. The menu isn’t extensive. Dogs, drinks, & chips. But why add any more to the menu, when what you do, you do so well?! I was only able to ‘down’ one dog, but my 3 year old put two of them away! AND said she wanted to come back for her birthday. Her birthday isn’t until next August… I can guarantee we will be back before then.
