Jens café serves excellent breakfast possibly the best breakfast in oroville California the service is excellent and the staff makes you feel at home it’s a hole in the wall restaurant but quite a diamond in the rough

I did not really have high expectations for this place, we were just passing through. I have to say I loved this place! One of the best omelets I have ever had. Service was slow but they were really busy, totally worth the wait:)

Good eats in a rustic location, excellent for people watching.
We sat near 2 octogenarians that everyone seemed to know.
One was berating the other, obviously annoyed. Perhaps it was because the other was inquiring as to the other patrons sex lives were going.

Small but worth the wait.
Everyone was very nice.
The chicken fried steak was very good.
Wife said the oatmeal was not cooked long enough.
Girl got a turkey melt said was good.
Boy got a cold turkey sandwich, said it was good.

This is such a cute place. All my life of living in this little town, I’ve never stopped or made time to eat here. It was a different restaurant back then but I’m glad my decision to dine in today for lunch was a good one. They close by 1:45 pm which means get your breakfast and lunch fix fast.
Wait staff were friendly and efficient.
Atmosphere was cozy.
I ordered the traditional breakfast. They had a variety of sides and meat to choose from for only $ 10. I went with chicken fried steak, scrambled eggs, and a full Belgian waffle. My chicken steak wasn’t dry as I thought it would be and with the gravy on top added extra flavor. The waffle was really soft; melted in my mouth.
My friend ordered the breakfast burrito with gravy on top and came with potatoes. It was quite delicious itself.
They were very generous with the portion size.

Place was a cute cozy little place. Food was good. Service was good. I like it!

When Jenn of Jenn’s Café waits on you it’s a great sign. The chicken fried steak breakfast was her recommendation. Huge and tasty. Nice mix of locals, so that’s a good sign. Excellent value too.

Stopped here on a Saturday drive — we timed it just right to get in at a quiet time. The food was just fine — bacon not so great. And the food took a bit of a time to get out — most likely because it was busy.

Great breakfast! So happy my friends and I came here. I ordered a veggie omelet with home fries. It was delicious. Nice servers, good little diner!

So cute! Seriously cleanest place I’ve ever been in. I sat at the bar for breakfast and could not stop thinking about how clean the place was. So cute. I love the fresh flowers and colorful plates. Service was great, it seemed like everyone who worked there was paying attention to every customer. I can’t remember the last time I had French toast that was that damn good. I’m also a koozie collector, so thanks for the camo addition

Comfy and cozy old-​fashioned café with great, friendly service. And a wonderful, varied breakfast and lunch menu. Our breakfasts were way better than expected! I loved the bacon avocado scramble.
The prices are also very reasonable! Because it is a small restaurant, it’s easy to visit and get acquainted with your neighbors! I certainly recommend Jenn’s!

Reasonably priced and good eats! side of chicken fried steak for 5 bucks smothered in gravy!!! service is a little slow but seriously, what else are you going to do? You are in OROVILLE!!!

Normally love this place. However today something was seriously wrong. The owner wasn’t there so maybe that was it. The tables were half full and yet we waited over an hour and still hadn’t gotten our food. We finally got up and walked out. Hope this isn’t how it’s going to be from now on. If this had been the first time I had gone there, I wouldn’t go back

Been here a couple times for breakfast and had a great experience each time! For a small town café Jenn’s does not leave you wanting, the waitress’s here are very friendly, they greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome! They get to know their customers and greet their regulars with a kindness that makes you wish you could live in Oroville (crazy I know but just go with it) just for that experience! The food is good and so is their coffee! If you’re looking for a great breakfast spot look no further than Jenn’s!

Jenn’s Place has great food generous portions and cooked to order very good place glad we found it.

Jenn’s is a shining beacon of hope for the cuisine in Oroville. Everything we had was scrumptious and portions were huge, we definitely left fat and happy.
Our server was actually Jenn, she was like a beautiful angel of brunch and was very genuine and friendly.
When I went out back to use the restroom, I met her magic unicorn, Lafawnduh, that uses its magic to create a forcefield of happiness and joy around the place so that each and every customer feels loved and welcome. Jenn was very modest about her experiences in the magic realm, but we could see the light glow of heaven all around her as she gracefully balanced unbelievable amounts of food on her arms, it was truly supernatural.
We tried to use some sleeping potion to knock out the staff and steal their magic elixirs, but alas, they held steadfast and did not waiver at our feeble attempts to overcome their wills. We retreat, beaten and humbled, back to our lair with only the vivid memory of our beautiful time at Jenn’s with no other way to obtain this joy, but to return.
Btw, there were REAL flowers on the table! Another example of Queen Jenn’s loveliness and care for making you feel beautiful

I love the food here. Service is always excellent. It’s a comfortable place to go to and very welcoming. I’ve almost just about had everything on the menu and I can’t get enough. If you haven’t been here yet then your definitely missing out.

Hands down, Jenn’s Café has the BEST customer service in Oroville, CA…
This morning had to of been my 6^th visit :) Customer service is very consistent, Staff is super friendly, welcoming, upbeat, and I always feel comfortable there. Everyone that works there is just great and I really appreciate their hospitality! The girls always check on me, see if I need anything, my food comes out right, they are so nice and attentive! I really have to give a big Thank You to the hotel staff at Feather Falls Lodge, because on one of my first stays, they recommended for me to go here and said the food was great, gave me directions too! I have been coming back as much as I can for breakfast, this is my 3^rd review update!
The only downfall is the place is very small, sometimes you might have to wait for a table, they are pretty quick about turn arounds, there is also a counter with stools, and a couple tables outside! The building might be a little old fashioned, but at least it is clean with a nice atmosphere, and I’ve never had any issues with parking, you can park in the small lot or right in front of the Café on Mitchell street. The hours are early, they close around 2pm and there have been a few times I wanted to come for lunch, but didn’t make it before they closed. This place is always busy, I’ve never been here when it’s not full. I am still giving 5 stars because the Customer service is excellent and that is very important to me, and that being said I will definitely be returning in future!
My very first visit, I ordered Corned Beef Hash, it was great. Every time I come in, I always order something different. The breakfast burrito was really good, they put country gravy on top. I’ve tried the omelettes, country potatoes, hash browns, Strawberry waffle, all very good. This morning, which was Sunday, they offer the Monte Cristo special. Instead of potatoes, I opted for the fresh fruit and it was fresh, decent serving size. I ordered one Pecan pancake, and thankfully, they let me just order one, instead of a short stack :) it was GOOD, if you LOVE Pecans, I highly recommend trying the Pecan waffle too, but wow, the pancake had a ton of pecans!!! There are a few more breakfast items I would like to try, but also I would like to have lunch one of these days. For a small place, they really do have a great menu. I highly recommend this place to others, and if you have to wait for a table, I would say it is worth the wait, just be patient… I am sure they do a lot of To Go orders as well.

This place gets 4 stars because of the service. It was frickin amazing. There were 3 of us and we all wanted to make adjustments/​alterations to our breakfast. Our waitress was happy to accommodate everything we wanted, the food was quick and everyone in the diner seemed to know each other’s names, giving it a friendly and homely feel.
Everything tasted good, although my food was very tan colored — potatoes, bread, biscuits and gravy — I would suggest getting a fruit cup on the side to add some color to your meal.
