Headline here: Meh My fiancé and I went there yesterday, we were stuck waiting for a friend to get home a few blocks away(she was running really late) and we were hungry so we went to the nearest available high-rated pizza place for dinner. We got a margherita pizza to share. It was one of the saddest margherita pizzas I’ve ever had. No red sauce, low-quality cheese over the whole thing, chunks of tomato that wasn’t very fresh, and very greasy. It wasn’t terrible, I just expected much better given the Unilocal reviews and that I paid $ 16(not counting tax & tip). The place is a bit of a hole-in-the-wall, not in the best shape. I actually don’t mind that at all, it gives character. However, the service was … minimal. There are only a few tables, and I spent the almost the entire time there waiting for the waitress to come and refill my water. Some people aren’t picky about that, and I am. If I have to ask you as a host/hostess to refill my water, you’re doing it wrong, and there weren’t a lot of people there to keep track of. I left a tip anyways because the waitress and the guy behind the counter were at least friendly, but I’m sure not giving you a star for that. It was an any-port-in-a-storm moment, and we chose poorly. Not worth it, people.

Great pizza place! Garlic knots are awesome and the pizza is cooked nicely. They gave us free dessert when we went. We ordered delivery today, the driver was very nice and the food arrived hot and on time. Keep up the good job guys!

I went today to give it a try since it is close to home and our other favorite pizza joint was too packed. My husband had been here prior after my last review and he said they had some good chicken wings and the prices were flexible for the kind of ambiance it offers. Front door is kept open, it’s very small, a little dirty and grimy but we wouldn’t mind. They use their first table as a family table for their employees and lots of knick knacks and paperwork just plain disgusting and unprofessional. When we got there the place was empty and we ordered our drinks but they were out of lemons for my husband’s drink. We also were told that they do not offer pizza by the slice after 5 p.m. I was a bit upset since other places that I often go to always have pizza by the slice and they are best. So we decided for a 10 inch cheese pizza and garlic knots as appetizers. My oldest son asked for a large Caesar salad and my husband asked for chicken wings. First thing you notice is that all the prices on the menu had been raised between a dollar to $ 0.50 higher than he had paid prior. We had to ask the server to come to our table numerous times because we were lacking drinks, utensils and my husband had to go get condiments by himself at the front of the restaurant. Needless to say the quality of the food and taste is not congruent to the price hike. The Caesar salad comes in a very small plate and it looks like a bagged salad with iceberg lettuce, tiny white croutons and what seems to be bottled dressing. These people need to learn what a real Caesar salad is made of. For $ 7 I expect it nicely presented and a much better tasting salad. The best part was the garlic knots. The wings are served on a wire basket with a small aluminum foil in between. Needless to say the grease all dumped all over the table and floor. The cheese pizza looked and tasted like it was frozen. After waiting over 10 minutes for a drink refill my husband had to ask for the check. What it looks like to be the owner came by to apologize as our server had taken her break. Almost $ 40 later we walked out and there’s our server right outside the door having a cigarette on her phone. At this point I believe the owner saw how upset we were and tried to give us a $ 10 off our next visit and we flat out refused as we will never return to this place. This place flat out has high prices, dirty and uncomfortable atmosphere, bad service and bad quality food. I I tried to give you guys another chance but unfortunately you fell flat again.

We stopped based on good reviews. Got the whole family out in the rain. We went to the counter were told to sit down and that we would be served at the table. Since we were in a hurry we were looking at the time. Sat down at 6:20 and by 6:30 nobody had come to the table. Since the dining area was only occupied by one other family only and they saw us when we came in we figured it was time to cut our losses. Walked out the three people who were working in the front and didn’t appear to be overly busy looked at us but didn’t say anything.

Where do we start… First I got garlic knots(best item we ate!) with no plates or utensils. It took so long my husband went to the counter and picked up plastic utensils and paper plates for us. Then came just my salad(husband also ordered salad). Then my husband got his pizza. Finally he got his salad(did I mention it was the same salad that I ordered and got before his pizza came?)… Later I got my lasagne. Food was good. Then THEBILLHAPPENED. We were told the menu was just a reference that the prices on it weren’t right. We asked for manager. He told us they’re waiting for new menus… Every item was overcharged. He did correct bill but there was never an apology. He just kept saying«but how was the food?» Watch out!

I’ve eaten a lot of pizza in my time but this my very well be the best I’ve had. Garlic knots are insane! I feel like a child of the owners as they treat me like family every time I go. Sara(owner) always gives me samples from her concoctions in the kitchen. If I won powerball, I would pay these kind folks to cook for us. They are THAT good! Ask for the gyros, again one of the best I’ve ever had. It isn’t on the menu :) From Boston to New York to Chicago, this pizza is as good or better than any and the charm of the owners is the best! In the era of chains like Papa Johns or Dominos, skip em and get Northend. You will be glad you did!

Visited for the first time today and was very satisfied. We ordered a big pizza and garlic knots. Added a side of garlic dip when paying and it was yummy. The family was also great and my order was ready very fast. I will be back.

The food is fantastic. I always get their large pizza which is enough for 2 meals and I’ve never had a bad meal from them. Also everything they make is made fresh from scratch. They also came out with gyros a few days ago and they are 100% fantastic. But when I go to North End pizza I’m also going for the experience. The crew there all work really hard to make sure you are leaving with a smile on your face. 10⁄10 would recommend.

By far the best pizza I have had since moving to the area for school. My friends and I only had the pizza but it was delicious. We had a large pie with pepperoni and mushrooms. To be honest, I was half expecting the mushrooms to have that straight out of the can taste/texture but was pleasantly surprised to find that wasn’t the case. Everything tasted so fresh. The crust had a nice mild flavor, the sauce was zesty but not over powering, the cheese was gooey perfection, and the toppings were abundant in every bite. Aside from the food being delicious, our first time visit to North End was made even better by Sarah. Not only was she extremely attentive, she was also genuinely sweet. During our meal, she brought us a sample of a gyro pizza(not sure if it’s a new flavor pizza) and asked us to taste it. It was so yummy and she was so happy that we liked it, she gave me a hug. She made the experience more memorable. I will definitely be going back! If you like North East style pizza, I highly recommend you try this place out.

My family and I really wanted pizza but did not want the chain store kind so we came to Unilocal. We order the pizza for pickup and was anxious. We ordered a large cheese pizza, garlic knots and medium 10 piece chicken wings. Everything was amazing! The pizza had a great amount of cheese that ozzzed off and amazing crust. The wings were SEASONED and the flavor made me want more. The garlic knots were huge and flavorful. I ate so much I felt like I was going to explode. The owner told us we would love the pizza and would be back for more. He was right we are planning to try lunch and definitely will be ordering our pizza there for now and on.

This is one of my favorite places to eat with friends and family. Their garlic knots are the best in town! Everything I’ve ever tried here has been absolutely amazing! What seals the deal is the friendly staff. I always feel at home when dining in. Five stars, would recommend.

We heard how great food is and all homemade by owners. Best marinara sauce and garlic knots I ever had anywhere. Pizza crust thin and crispy and toppings great except I wasn’t a fan of meatball topping. I like beef meatballs and think, not sure, they were sausage or pork-based. Italian sausage tho is great here. We also had ravioli — also homemade. Delish! We can’t wait to go back to have eggplant parm and veggie lasagna. The owners treat you like family almost and I hope they get the business they so deserve. We need this place to stick around.

We were heading to the Tijuana Flats off the corner of Aloma Ave. & Tuskawilla. We opened the door just to realize that the place was completely packed and there was not a seat in sight. Unless we wanted to stand and eat with out 8&2 year old, this was not going to work. We walked out in a hunger rage(not really) and started looking around. There it was in all its glory… North End Pizza. So glad we found this place. Not only was their food great, but the owner was awesome and so good with my kids. She hooked them both up with balloons and lollipops after they ate. It didn’t end with the service. Our food was leaps and bounds better than we were expecting. I had the Pot Roast Panini that was fantastic. We also had the cheese stick app that was spot on. Not greasy at all and packed with cheese. I like stumbling on places like this. I probably would have never eaten here, but because Tijuana Flats was out I have found another hidden gem of a restaurant. I’ll be back, North End. You have my attention.

Order: 10 hot wings xtra crispy, 12″ half pepperoni half cheese pizza and a 12″ Margherita pizza. Wings were the best part of the order. They weren’t just thrown in hot sauce and served up, they were actually seasoned and it really made the wings very tasty! Def recommend the wings! Pizza was good, sauce was tasty and not watered down, dough was preped well. The Margherita was basically a white pie with tomato topping and basil BUT was still very good so no complaints for what it is. All in all great service and great experience. I recommend you give them a try!

I had such high hopes for North End Pizza, I truly did. We arrived at about 6:30 Friday night, expecting a wait. We were lucky in that there wasn’t one. I assumed this was either a really good sign(quick food) or a really bad sign(bad food). You order at the counter, pay, and seat yourself. One thing I noticed: the large sign-style menu at the entrance was difficult to read(I’m short, BF is tall and we both had issues) but it’s not for the size or font — it’s the glare. The sign is shiny and very hard to read without bobbin’ and weavin’. They do offer printed menus at the register but you’ll have to wait until it’s your turn in line to grab one. The entrance is rather small and gets crowded easily. The have bottled beer and wine(small) in a cooler, as well as bottled soda, etc. My suggestion is to grab one of those because we got water and had to go back up front for our refills(not self serve). After placing our order we were told it’d be about 15 minutes. No problem. 25 minutes later we received our order of garlic knots. They were very, very delicious. Soft, buttery. GOOD. Though, not as warm as you’d expect for just being made. Hmm. Another 15 minutes and our pizza arrived. Now, I don’t even know where to start with this. Let me say that even though we were given a short wait time I noticed as we walked to our booth that no one had their food yet. There were 4 – 5 other tables. No food on any of them. I figured we all showed up at the same time so I expected a longer wait. But the knots were barely warm, at best. The pizza? I expected steamy. I expected hot. I expected. a freshly made pizza. It was not steamy or hot. It was lukewarm and I was confused. We ordered the margarita pizza(mozzarella, tomatoes, garlic, basil) and that is what we received. Except, you know when a pizza sits and the cheese firms up? You take a bite expecting to burn the roof of your mouth because you just can’t wait? That didn’t happen. There was no stringy, melt-y goodness. It was firm. Not hard. Just FIRM. I don’t know if it sat and was forgotten about. I don’t know if it was pre-made, cold stored and topped when we ordered. But I do know it wasn’t good. We didn’t complain(no thanks!) and ate the pizza simply because we were starving at that point. We did order another plain cheese pizza to bring home for the kids, which they inhaled. The BF had the leftovers the next day(warmed via micro, no less) and said it was much better than the one we had in house. Still, nothing great; just not bad. We didn’t try for dessert. Prices are high; servings are small and I never got around to asking if they were house made. Marking this one off our list and on to the next. North End Pizza is located in the strip plaza located at the corner of Tuskawilla and Aloma. Seating can be limited as they have about 6 booths.
