Firehouse Subs

I didn’t feel like cooking.
And Firehouse Subs looked like a good alternative to the various fast food places nearby, so my wife and I went. I decided to try their Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket TM. Their sandwiches come with a pickle spear, and if you order the combo you have a choice of chips and a drink. They have a fancy soda dispenser that allows you to customize your drink with lemon, cherry, raspberry or other flavor. I decided on a vanilla Coke® It came to $ 7.89 plus tax, which isn’t bad for the amount of food that you get.
Here’s the deal if you have kids — after 4 p.m. kids get their $ 3.99 combo for only 99 cents, and they can get a little plastic firefighters’ hat, too. And that’s good for two kids per adult, so if you have kids under 12, go for it!

Over rated and expensive. Was expecting way better than what we got. I have to say it was really nicely decorated and there were many choices, but their roast beef sandwich and chili was just bleh. For mediocre sandwiches I’ll go to subway.

First time here, and I was very impressed with the food! This location is great also, the people were very friendly, and helpful, and it wasn’t too packed when we got there. But of course it was lunch time and as soon as we ordered and sat down, the crowd came in. Now I see why! I got the Hook and Ladder which is their most popular sub, and glad I did. It tasted so good, that even though I was full from eating half of my medium sub, I didn’t want to stop eating it. So much, so I totally licked the paper after eating my leftovers! I wish I got a picture of what I got, but couldn’t put my sandwich down to pick my phone up. It was THAT good. Admittedly, the reason we came was because we got a coupon mailer in the mail and one of the coupons was for a free medium sub. I’d actually come back to this place over and over and wouldn’t mind paying full price because they are actually comparable to the other sandwich place which will remain nameless. What I liked about Firehouse is that they shave their deli meats on site, and you can taste the difference. Everything tastes fresher! I don’t think I can go back to eating at the other place anymore after eating here. Also glad that it’s a 2 minute drive from my house!

Food here is bleh, it’s on the more expensive side and few choices unfortunately more fresh veggie selections across the street at the subway

Hearty and delicious sandwiches. I placed an order online for several sammies and was pleasantly surprised at their readiness in a short time. Friendly service and inviting atmosphere.

This place is amazing, I always get the hook and ladder and its on point every time. The employees are always nice and helpful I’d rather eat here over any other sub place ! My new fav

Not impressed overpriced just an average sub. I got the Firehouse Steak and Cheese in wheat small, the portion was equivalent to a subway sandwich.

Excellent service and food. All ingredients were fresh .The interior was tastefully decorated in a pleasant atmosphere. I will return.

Bit pricey but their ham sandwiches of firemans special is pretty tasty
The han is flavorful n sweet not overly salty like most other sub shops
Does take a bit of time to make the sandwiches but not an overly long wait
Very cool next to donut shop and a starbucks drive thru next door

Good sandwiches! I like to order online and pick the food up since sometimes it gets a little busy. There is a soda machine here with a TON of options. If you have kids, they love it! The employees have always been very nice and patient if I’ve ever had any trouble ordering.

Sandwiches were really good. I liked the fire Dept décor. Service was top notch. I liked how the sandwiches were lightly toasted. Yummy be back next time down in area.

I’m not really a fan. With all the great reviews I expected that i would be!
I got a roast beef with everything. There was nothing appetizing about the look of the roast beef. Overall my sandwich was very bland. I was pretty surprised.
Service was nice, the establishment was packed, and clean. My experience just didn’t hit the mark. I would recommend ordering one of their menu items, and not just a sandwich.

Sub was incredible… warm shredded roast beef, turkey
, ham and cheese… amazing. But the hefty 15.00 bill whacked me pretty hard at the register… so I may not go all the time, but I must say it WAS PRETTY DELICIOUS… can’t do those power lunches too often on my payroll… but glad I went. Like nothing I’ve experienced in this valley… unique, to say the least.

what can I say every fire family like ours should go to this place at least once, it’s fun and colorful, I appericate the palm desert fire engines painted on the wall cuz I met my kids dad while he was working in Palm desert FD, The food is pretty good too. I dont mind driving 30 minutes out of my way to eat here.

Finally tried this place after so many recommendations! It’s located off the Monterey exit from the freeway on the left. They have limited parking spaces in front of their main entrance, but a great deal out back. I parked out back and walked through the back door.
This restaurant’s décor made you feel that firefighter vibe. They had so many firefighter props mostly in red to help the vibe. They have restrooms towards the back.
They seem to like to place turkey in every sub from what j took from the menu. I settled on a chicken marinara sub and was satisfied. This place is pricier than subway, but almost evenly or below them in taste. Just didn’t meet the hype… I’ll more than likely give them one more shot to impress, but as of now I prefer subway. I did like the variety of drinks and hot sauces they carried. They also had 2 big screens showing sports which is always a plus.
Overall 3 stars because of the great décor and condiment)/refreshment variety. Had to knock them down on creativity and taste.

Found this place by accident while looking for the Interstate Battery store just a few doors over.
There was a picture of a Pork Sandwich with Coleslaw on the window looked great.
Ordered sandwich to go everyone friendly at the counter, counter girl gave me a cup for water since it was 114 out. Got home excited about my new find. First bite hmmm, pickles? Texture weird? Not what I expected. kept going to see if it would grow on me. Nope sorry this was not a good choice. Would probably try another sandwich down the road at some time, but in no hurry to do so. Disappointed at my first Try.

Great subs, great atmosphere, great customer service.

All superb, meaty, and delicious.
My hubby liked the fact they have an assortment of super spicy hot sauces to pick from ranging from 1 to 10… 10 being ‘insanity’.
Careful with the sauces, don’t let it ruin your perfectly seasoned sandwiches.
I did try a drop of #10 Insanity sauce on my sub. And it burned like a mother… I did this near my last bites. Glad I did cuz I wouldn’t have been able to literally taste anything after. My mouth and lips burned for a couple of hours.
The customer service was friendly and courteous.
The establishment was clean and servers inquired if anything was needed.
They also have the newer soda filling stations that had lots of soda choices.
Only knock off ½ a star for the price. For those who frequent good deli places and know the price of quality subs, you would not have problem with Fireehouse Subs. This sub place is a keeper for the family.

I stopped in to pick up a hoagie. I had never been so finding the location and the correct point of egress without GPS was daunting. I am not in this part of the center much.
The server/​cashier noticed my reluctance and gave me the rundown on the options. After some internal debate I selected the 6″ number one (which is the Hook n’ Ladder) and a couple of cookies to go.
While awaiting the order I walked around a little admiring the décor and the props used to put the bow on the package. When I arrived home I unwrapped the sub only to have it stare back at me open face with the lettuce spreading like jacks that you throw on the floor.
I had to reconstruct the torpedo with an obvious GASH in the hull. The food was tasty and the cookies were GREAT. There are a couple of shops I prefer here in town and I recommend that Firehouse employees do a better job of swaddling their babies before they send them out.
Maybe I will be back.

My wife and i just stopped there after hitting some stores on 111
…ordered Hero sub combo. drink sub and chips. and split it… sub was served warm. meat and bread were EXCELLENT. lettuce and other fixings were fresh and delicious … you should never go to subway …(we don’t anyway) …staff was friendly fast and store was very clean… love this place .when we’re in the area will always go here first… not the cheapest but you get what you pay for… good décor too… highly recommend

First time visiting this place after seeing numerous commercials on tv. Ordered a roast beef w/​avocado, lettuce, tomato on wheat. Sandwich was served warm and was quite delicious!
I got the combo which composed of a sandwich, chips & a drink.
Love the coke/​soda machine!!! It serves 6 different diet coke Flavors alone!
The interior is well done and clean… the staff was friendly & helpful.
Puts Subway to SHAME!!!
Will definitely be back & recommend :)
