Was not pleased at all. Went to get a piece a salmon low and behold infested with parasites. Worms to be exact. Then they had to nerve to say it was part of the fish. A clear worm is not part of my fish i want in my body. Multiple worms and then when i pointed out the worms the waitress had no clue what to do. The cook not chef denied the worm clearly like 10 or so. Then told them they needed to remove the contaminated fish from serving it to others. They barely did that. Then had the nerve to offer more fish no don’t think so. I didn’t ask for my money back that wasn’t the point. The point was dont serve people worm infested fish. Will i come back no should you eat here no. There are many other restaurants in pearland. Try those this place is so low end the cook feels worms are ok.

Food was horrible and flavorless. The only thing decent was the waffles and chili. Just came home to throw everything up. Total waste of money. Don’t come here

This place doesn’t even deserve to be open. We went here about 11 in the morning everything was cold every single thing we got. The flavor is just nasty of every food in here. The drinks even worst we all got waters and it had a really weird taste to them it wasn’t water in my opinion. They don’t have a lot of options their food repeats as is it’s the same food in one side and the other one. This was just the worst experience we had at a GC. We will never be back here.

Tonight, we went to the GC in Pearland, TX at about 5pm. The server Jessica was really nice and very attentive although you could see she was swamped with no help in sight. My sister went to get some shrimp and saw a lady by the grill with a take out container. The lady had asked the grill person if she could have a piece of prime rib and the man said«NO, YOUCAN’T TAKETHEPRIMERIBHOME. YOUCANONLYEATITHERE!» I have come to this GC many times and the same older African American man is always so rude and always yelling at his coworkers. Doesn’t anyone monitor his actions? Don’t think I’ll go back to this one. Your guests can not only see his bad behavior, we can hear it. I hope the one on Fuqua is better once they reopen. Really disappointed that we travel over 20 miles to witness disgraceful guest service.

Let me start by saying this was my 3rd trip here & my kids love it. The food was good and plentiful(I love the variety), but I have a SERIOUS problem with the restrooms & the management. Every time we’ve visited, the restrooms have been HORRIFIC. This time was even worse… There was pee all over the seats & floors, poo in every toilet, soap & water all over the sink’s counter and toilet paper all over the floor. It was SOGROSS. Luckily the supply closet was unlocked so I helped myself(my 6 year old had to pee after all!). Afterwards, I found a manager & explained the situation in the bathroom & she assured me she was aware of the problem & that she had just finished scolding one of the employees about visiting the bathrooms more often to check on them. A few minutes later, my other daughter needed to use the restroom so we dreadfully entered the hellhole once more, & we passed the employee who had just finished«cleaning». I don’t know why I was surprised to find that all she had done was SWEEP& flush the toilets. She hadn’t even opened the supply closet! Seeing their attention to detail in the restroom really makes me wonder just how clean the rest of the place is!

Ya know, maybe I’m just happy they exceeded my really low expectations, but I thought they were pretty dang good. I mean, yes, it’s a buffet, and yes, it’s just plain ol’ comfort food that includes a lot of carbs and fried items and whatnot, and the people can be a little irritating, but all in all, this was a really good experience! I knew they would be busy, but we got there about 1:15 on Thanksgiving afternoon, and there was about a 15 minute wait, so that wasn’t bad. You pay and get your drinks, and wait to be seated, then let the gorging begin! With two ice teas and two buffets, it was $ 32 and some change. So not a cheap meal, but you get to eat all you want. They were busy, and of course the area with the turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and such was almost always busy, but if they were out of something, they filled it back up, and everything was hot, so that was great! I hate cold food on a buffet… ew. They had a salad/fruit bar, and a Chinese selection, and tacos and fried shrimp and hushpuppies, and the traditional Thanksgiving fare, and baked chicken, and macaroni and cheese and steak, and fried chicken, and pot roast, and pizza, and of course the dessert bar as well. Really, they had a lot of different kinds of food. And they kept it filled and rotated, so that was nice. Hubby got some fries that weren’t real hot, but everything else he got, and everything I got was hot and fresh… or at least kept heated. The dessert bar was a little disappointing as I didn’t find too much that I wanted to indulge in, although the chocolate waterfall is fun. I got as piece of chocolate cake that was good, but saw the carrot cake after so kinda wish I had gotten that instead, as I LOVE carrot cake. The people weren’t too irritating, although why do people let their kids run wild at a buffet? Most people were polite and in a good mood, although you do get the few that feel like they can line bandit. Um. No. Get back in line like the rest of us. All in all, it was a good place. The people were friendly, and efficient, and of course we left a really good tip, as hey, it was Thanksgiving, plus our waiter was really good. I was impressed. Maybe in the real world, against other restaurants, this is only a three-star place, but up against buffets and with my low expectations of buffets in general, this place made me a definite fan!

My first time being here, was a very strange experience. The food here gave me horrors of getting sick. This food was so bad, I went with my family for Dinner; and it seemed as if it was left out all day, cold, dull in taste, and burnt. Along with that I was served RAW meat. Didn’t expect that. The waiters seemed sweet, and the restaurant was well decorated. Overall the restaurant being very empty. When the manager was contacted, it didn’t seem to matter much. I was served a new piece of meat, and like the other pieces I served myself, it was hard to chew on, dry, dull and scared me from the fact that it was the same cook who cooked raw meat. Other then that the bread was well done. On the bright side it wasn’t too gross.

This is one of our favorite spots for the family. The best time to go is when it’s busy because the food is nice and fresh and hot. For the price and the fact that you have so many choices and can eat as much as you can hold it is well worth it. GC has all our favorites like crispy fried chicken, catfish, fried okra, steak, ribs and the bread! The services is as good as expected for an all you can eat buffet, in our instance the server keeps the plates cleared and our drinks filled — no complaints here. If your hungry and want descent food at a descent price go when it’s busy and hope you have a descent server.

Back in June, my wife and I re-discovered Golden Corral– after swearing them off many years ago. We’ve eaten here, on average, every two weeks and found it most enjoyable every time. We can speak for the meat as we are vegetarians, but everything else has been great. If the waitstaff is a little dry, warm them up with a kind greeting and some chit-chat and they respond in kind. I’ll be back. Enjoy.

We dined here a few months ago and I must say that this location has really gone downhill. I witnessed kids running all over the place, including the buffet by themselves without any parental supervision. I thought there was an age limit for kids unattended at the buffet? The thing that really turned me off was witnessing a child grab a hand full of plates, drop them on the floor, and put them back on the rack… We won’t be back.

This Location is really hit or miss… We like buffets and really want to like coming to Golden Corral because we genuinely like their food choices. This location is subpar and out of 4 chances to get it right, they succeeded just once. It’s a shame they can’t get it together here. The food is almost never hot, they leave items out to long so it doesn’t taste fresh. Service is meh as well… Have been back to this location twice since my original review and the food has improved on both occasions. Therefore, I’m increasing my overall rating to three stars

I don’t know if it’s this restaurant in particular or the whole chain but the food is disgusting. The food isn’t even fresh, and it’s cold. The plates are dirty do yourself a favor and don’t even go here. Def a waste of money going to this buffet. I thought it would be better he second time coming here but it was just another disappointment.

Place is filthy!!! Buffet was never cleaned in the hour we spent there. Food all over the buffet, food caked on everything. Dessert buffet the worst, food everywhere! Carpet covered in food. Walls had food on it. Bathrooms trashed and had no paper towels in men’s room. Asked to talk to the manager, Tony-not for money back, but to point out his filthy restaurant! He didn’t come… sent over a gentleman with a server apron on. WOULDNOTRECOMMEND wasting your time or money at THISLOCATION. Have been to other Golden Corrals that were very good. This one should be shut down by the health dept!

This restaurant is disgusting. We are one plate and had to leave. They can’t be inspecting it. It needs to be cleaned. It was bugs flying constantly and it has a stench. Every wall is nasty and please don’t look up. Ugh. I asked the waitress if she smelled that scent. She asked what it smelled like, I said mildew. She said oh it’s been like that. I will never go again, not even if it is free.

We walked in and the first thing we encountered was the beverage station. The kid manning that station muttered something and when I said«pardon me?» He barely audibly said«drink?». I knew this was a mistake already… our drinks would be water by the time we sat down and apparently they were rationing ice that day. The next station was the cashier. Once we passed the cashier we stepped into the circus that is Golden Corral. There were no trays anywhere so we found a table and left our drinks there(totally dangerous thing to do!!) to approach the buffet. I stood off to the side as my husband went to the restroom. He returned and said it was disgusting. We went looking for trays and plates. We went through several plates before finding two that weren’t crusted. A lady beside us told a staff member there was no silverware, which we found was true and went looking for some. We spotted a stack of trays and reached for them and was told…“No, they’re dirty.” but was not offered info as to where we might find clean ones. At that point I turned to my husband and told him I would NEVER go through that buffet and we should get a refund and GO. We did just that.

ICK!!! this is what they must feed people in prison! I went there tonight around 8pm for the first time. Not sure if it was because it was late so the food wasn’t fresh or what. The only thing that I actually liked was the popcorn shrimp.

Its been awhile since I came here and well… it might have been because I went around 7pm, but… most of the food I got, tasted bitter. I’m thinking its because its been sitting out all day or something. But out of everything I had, probably the clam chowder, the pizza, and of course the chocolate fountain were the best parts. The clam chowder had a pretty good taste to it and adding those little crackers to it really made it taste even better. The pizza was great. It did have that kind of… cheap pizza taste but I didn’t care. It just came out of the oven when I got some and I loved it. And of course, you can’t go wrong with a chocolate fountain. I mean, what else can I say about that? Its a chocolate fountain. That’s it. Its amazing. I wish I had one in my house. Overall, I would say give it a try and I would say try to go earlier but there are times that it does get pretty crowded, so make sure you watch out for that. But if you like the buffet style restaurants, you’ll probably like this.

Great variety! Golden Corral has definitely stepped up their game. They had an expansive dessert bar with a chocolate fountain!!! Few American Chinese delights, tex-mex, and American classics. The place was nice and the only negative is that the bathrooms could’ve been cleaner but they were busy. It was a full house and they served it up.

Ok so they raised the price to $ 12.99. They because the shrimp are bigger and they added prime rib. First of all they did was butterfly the shrimp. The Prime Rib was ok, I have had a lot better prime rib for $ 13. This is just Friday to Sunday so I won’t be back on the weekend.
