Had the Philosopher’s Pizza. So delicious! All of the ingredients were high quality and the flavor was amazing. I would order the same pizza again.

Overall pretty good, we sat at the bar and Don was our bar tender. It was 45 minutes to closing and the staff was still very friendly and in good spirits; as opposed to rushing us out the door. They had a great selection of local and not so local IPAs which I enjoyed immensely. I had the hi res IPA from New York, which I highly recommend, and also the Oyster City IPA which is good. We ordered the hummus app. It tasted alright. Nothing really different from what you’d buy in the store. Very plain, but got the job done. I’d probably order it again. We also split the mellowterrainian pizza which was very good. Tsatziki sauce was excellent. What stood out to me was the service. Don, the bartender, did an excellent job and was very accommodating, even though we were the last people to leave the restaurant.

The wings were so-so, but the pizza was and delicious. It was quite busy, but the wait went by quickly. Drink specials make alcohol prices palpable.

I liked the Mellow Mush! Pizza was good(not NY good) but good for pensacola! Meatball app was good as was all the other apps we test drove. Lots of great beers on tap too, that is a winner! Overall, I would go again. Check it out!

The best beer cheese ever! That is the single best thing about this place. Food is ok, service is slow and cooks are even more slow.

First time eating at a Mellow Mushroom, really happy with all their vegan options. Our server(Megan!) Was super nice and very attentive and made sure what I was ordering was vegan, which is always appreciated. :) Only thing was that the food could’ve been better imo. Hummus wasn’t my favorite(and I love hummus) and although the tempeh I got was very flavorful I wasn’t a huge fan, I just didn’t like whatever sauce they put on it as a personal preference. However, those are just minor things I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone passing through or otherwise.

The beer cheese dip for the pretzel sticks was delicious. They have cider on tap as well as a bunch of other beers. Good pizza lots of choices. There is a small indoor area the kids can go play. It can be loud in here at times but nothing too terrible. There is a trivia night but I can’t remember when.

I stopped by here really quick for a shot/beer before watching Star Wars VII. When I first walked in, I got that family-friendly vibe – the same you see when you watch Toy Story and they go to that restaurant where the three-eyed aliens in the crane game are introduced. My friends were already here munching on some pizza that looked delicious. I had already eaten so I didn’t try any but it looked scrumptious. Service was decent and the prices were typical chain restaurant prices. As far as the important pre-movie shot goes, they did not have any Jameson so I was sort of disappointed and just went with whatever random speed rail whiskey they had. I’ll probably give this place another chance before I leave Pensacola.

Took 1hr 30 minutes to get food, had stuff to do afterwards which we had to cancel. Food was good but it should be standard as it is a franchise. Next time you need to be faster… if there is a next time.

I write this as I’m sitting in the restaurant. First off I’ll start with the positive. The food was fantastic. We ordered half n half of the Mighty Meat and the Bleu Bayou. Both were very tasty and hot. I wish I could say everything was good but the service was not. We came in around 3:30 in the afternoon and the place was dead. There was only one table aside from ours and the waitress Casey, that served our table acted as if she was in a tremendous hurry. She would fly over to our table as if the place was loaded and she had a ton of people to wait on. She basically rushed us to order and was very short. Little to no eye contact, no smile, and was not personable at all. She’d ask if we needed anything and then dash away before we had a chance to answer. Then when the bill came, she dropped it on the table and said no rush but was back within seconds to see if we were ready to pay. I’d recommend the food without question but skip this particular location if you want good food AND service.

I have never been to a Mellow Mushroom before. My aunt picked it mostly because I think that she didn’t know where else to go in the area that we were in. All I said was pick someplace that isn’t a chain or I can find in Pittsburgh. She then said you get one not the other, lol. We were seated quickly and our waitress was very nice. I was with my three older aunts and when I told her I wanted to pay she didn’t argue or allow them to pick up the tab. I appreciate that. Seriously, I hate going out to eat sometimes because people don’t let me pay. I am going to order what I want so… if you want that bill that is on you! Not that I am not grateful, but after letting me stay with them, driving me around, etc, the least I can do is pick up dinner! Appetizer: SPINACHARTICHOKEDIP: Fresh sautéed spinach blended with artichokes, mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses in a creamy sauce topped with shaved Parmesan and baked until it’s warm and bubbly. Served with garlic toast points. We started off with the spinach artichoke dip. It was good, standard artichoke dip taste, nothing out of this world special. It was enough for the four of us to get a taste. If there were more people or if you were hungrier I would suggest a bigger appetizer or two! I really wanted some soup since I was sick but they were out of everything«brothy» so the only choice was a creamy tomato. I know that the tomato could have been good, but not what I was looking for. I ordered a salad to try to add some vegetables into my life. CAESARSALAD Romaine lettuce tossed with Caesar dressing and topped with shaved Parmesan and freshly made croutons. Again, super standard. I got the small bowl and it was a good size for me. The dressing comes on it, just as it was stated and was not heavy. I was happy that it was not drenched in dressing like some places tend to do. Standard and good. Now for the main dish. The problem sometimes with ordering for more than one person is that not everyone likes everything. Me, I love all kinds of things and when I go someplace new I tend to be adventurous and try weird things. This pizza choice was not weird but covered all the bases for everyone at the table. Pizza: MELLOWTERRANEAN Olive oil and garlic base with all natural grilled chicken, onions, roasted red peppers, black olives, chives, feta and mozzarella cheeses with a side of tzatziki sauce. It was ok. It wasn’t out of this world. It was just what it was, ok. I wasn’t dying for more pieces. I ate one out of the large. It was eh. The family ate their two and they seemed to think that it was great. It could have been the cold but I have had better pizza. I liked it, it was good. But eh. The toppings to me were a bit sparse. Just a little bit of toppings for the entire pie. The crust was really the best part of the pizza. YUMMY. But that wouldn’t make me go back again. I might go back… But if I didn’t I wouldn’t be upset.

Pizza is always great but the speed of service has always been SLOW for me. I’ve been to many Mellow Mushrooms and the pizzas usually take 20 minutes or less. This time, we pretty much sat at a table while we waited for carry out for 45 minutes. My siblings had a flight to catch and by the time the pizzas were ready we had to get them boxed up and delivered with the check. They sat in the back of my car as I drove to the airport divvying up the pies so they could take some with them to eat on the plane. While our server was very nice, I ordered a white pizza only to find when I got home and fonally opened my box that it had red sauce on it! Very disappointing. I think it’s safe to say that I will not return to the Pensacola Mellow of my own free will.

We eat here all the time. Tonight we tried to eat here around 9:15. Typically they close at 11pm and this is what time their websites says they close. Long story short their host(male hostess) and server were so rude slamming our menus and plates down that we didn’t feel comfortable eating there. We did not realize you were trying to close 2 hours early. We also did not realize that business has been bad as you explained and that was why you were trying to shut down early. We understand closing early but don’t be rude to your customers and make them feel bad for coming in your restaurant during regular business hours. We probably won’t be back.

The pizza is always too flavorful. Been here at least half a dozen times and I’ve always hated the pies. The service, atmosphere, beer selection and cleanliness has always been on point.

Great atmosphere and great food all the time. I’ve never had a bad experience here, service has been above average from start to finish. Today we tried the Philosopher’s Pie and I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. The flavors all melded together tremendously. My husband found it to be a bit dry(no marinara sauce on the pizza) but I disagree. The mushrooms and artichokes + cheese provide plenty of juicy goodness. Although I will say I’d have loved a drizzle of siracha on there for a little kick. Beer pretzels are an awesome appetizer, but my fav is still probably the mushroom soup– creamy and delicious! Oh! And did I mention, they’ve got a GREAT beer selection!

We had over two hours to kill before check-in(turns out it was more like actually five, thanks United for delaying flights and not updating us until the very last minute, you a-holes!) and the Mellow Mushroom in Houston is kind of far from me. .. So I wrangled the other two into lunch at Mellow Mushroom because come on, I deserved it, after a week of eating frozen vegan entrees and snacks. So we were able to negotiate a medium Mega Veggie, half with Daiya cheese(a $ 1.50 upcharge?) and without the parmesan-sprinkled and garlic-buttered crust and um, one of the small meat-intense pizza. ORSO I THOUGHT. After a moderate time of waiting, the Mega Veggie arrived, its crust glistening with buttery goodness and parmesan sprinkles, although yes, very visibly split into half Daiya and half regular cheese. Oh how sad I was, and confused. .. Our server insisted she had specified no butter and parmesan(I believe her) and paused while I processed the error, perhaps hoping I would overlook the dairy. I sheepishly requested another pizza, perhaps a small, with veganized crust and almost felt guilty because apparently I’m a little b! tch. The server did leave the pizza for the fiancé to munch away at his half, so he could at least begin his journey towards satiation. The replacement pizza arrived as quickly as it could, a medium with a noticeably drier-looking crust and per the fiancé the crust — «was definitely not as good as the first,» hah. I noticed a more meager amount of tofu had been crumbled into the pizza, whereas the first pizza had generous cubes. I suppose the pizza makers weren’t too pleased with me. No matter, I greedily carbo-loaded it up and of course immediately regretted it afterwards because«self control» — what is that? Despite that hiccup, still inclined to give Mellow Mushroom four stars because they at least TRY to accommodate us vegans and they also have gluten-free crusts(only in small, but priced the same as the regular crusts) for celiacs and wheat-intolerant people. Also the pizzas are maybe less pricey than zpizza’s, although not as loaded up on the toppings. There’s also a handful of vegan appetizers, salads, and sandwiches, pretty vegan handy for a chain.
