Forced the boyfriend to eat here. Ramen burger was delicious. Gravy type stuff on the side was sweet but not overly sweet. Highly recommend the ramen burger. Basically loco moco with ramen on top. Only reason it’s 4 and not 5 is the hair in the gravy stuff we found after eating almost the whole meal :(

Came here with the BF for some gains after we killed our shoulder workout. Just kidding, but we were really craving for some meat so we came here. So of course we ordered the BBQ mix plate. I give this restaurant four stars because I felt that the meat quality was very average. Nonetheless, the plates here are inexpensive for their big portions. We also ordered the loco moco to compare it to the loco moco I had in Hawaii recently. Again, the meat quality did not impress me and I felt I had to add my own sauces on top to enjoy the flavor. However, side macaroni was a delight! Overall, food is ready fast, cheap, large portions, and a good variety of dishes. I really appreciate having a Hawaiian restaurant in the dfw area!

I decided to try some Hawaiian food since I was around the area and I don’t regret it. The service was extremely fast and the portions are huge! I really just wanted to order one plate to share with my bf but I figured he would want to have his own. That being said, come to this place when you’re extremely hungry because it’ll definitely be worth it. Also don’t forget to check in to get free musubi.

One of my favorite places in DFW. It isn’t fancy and it’s hard to explain to people, but darn it is good. Their BBQ teriyaki sauce is delicious. The Spam musubi is very very good as well. Give it a try if you haven’t! You will be surprised. Occasionally you will get a piece of meat that is slightly overcooked or a bit too fatty, but it doesn’t happen very often.

First time trying l&l, food was pretty good. Was happy to find out that you get a little free snack when you check in on Unilocal.I got the pork tosalog(rec. by a friend). I tried the chicken tosalog as well, tasted a bit more moist and juicy to me. The place was neat and clean. Food was decently priced. Will definitely come back again to try their other menu options!

Check out their deal for a free musubi when you check-in on Unilocal! The lovely cashier allowed the 3 of us(paying on one ticket) to each redeem the free musubi with our check-ins. We all got the spam musubi, which was a pretty decent sized portion and tasty. The husband said it wasn’t as sweet/sugar glazed as he remembered for our trip to Hawaii. While I’m continuing on his opinion, he ordered the Loco Moco, since he craves it all the time now. The first couple of bites were good, but he soon got tired of it. However, he was head over heels for my Chicken Katsu. They gave a really generous offering of the chicken cutlet in the styrofoam box with plenty of rice and coleslaw. I also thought it was good but for some reason didn’t see the pork katsu which I’m more used to eating. Looking forward to getting that next time! Our friend ordered the Hawaiian BBQ plate with the three different meats. Although I can’t remember how much he liked everything else, I got a taste of the Hawaiian BBQ beef and thought it tasted an awful lot like Korean bulgogi. Note that this is a very VERY good thing! L&L has just a few tables for seating but wasn’t too packed for a Saturday lunch. The employees worked efficiently and were friendly!

Been a while since the last time I ate at this place. The food tasted the same and seems like the location is a lot more cleaner to me than the first time I was there. The musubi(free when you check in) is always good but I can only eat those babies once every visit. My go to order is the regular size short rib BBQ. It comes with one scoop of rice and 1 scoop of macaroni salad. I like the fact that they serve some Filipino dishes as well like tosilog and the likes. It’s nice to have this location close to where I live.

one of my fav places by far! i love it when fast food is both affordable and interesting, and l&l doesn’t disappoint! i think i must have gotten tosilog(chicken and pork) about three times in a row now, because i can’t bring myself to miss an opportunity to eat it. i love that the red sauce is very sweet, but you get a fried egg and garlic rice to balance out each bite.(as well as a thing of garlic vinegar; stronger people than me may enjoy dipping the meat in it.) tosilog is apparently filipino breakfast food, but breakfast for lunch is good too, right? i also love the ramen loco moco burger(a patty with lettuce and a fried egg, between two fried«patties» of cooked ramen), the spam musubi, and the seafood combo with bbq short ribs. it’s all well-made and tastes fresh. my favorite options usually don’t have the macaroni salad, but from what i’ve tried, the hype is well-deserved. you can get a meal with a plate lunch(including two sides!), a musubi, and a drink for about $ 13 here, which, coupled with the great options, makes it a five-star place in my books. still hoping to try the katsu musubi, the lumpia shanghai, and the halo halo. someday…

I’ve heard a lot of good things about this place, the compliments mostly centering around how generous the portions are compared to the price. I tried this place for the first time for lunch after having it bookmarked for so long. I got the BBQ short ribs, which comes with rice and a macaroni salad. The meat was a little tough but it was very flavorful! The macaroni salad was delicious that even though I was full from the meat and rice, I just had to finish it. *Note* if you check into Unilocal, you get a free musubi. I chose the spam, although there were other choices that sounded delicious. The BBQ short ribs were a little tough but was marinated just right that I found myself chewing on the bones for the last bit of juice. The restaurant is seat yourself and very casual. You go in, order, pick a seat, and they bring out your food when it’s ready. They have Sriracha and chili sauce next to the soda machine, if you need a little bit more of a spice. Overall, I enjoyed the cheap prices and yummy food. Definitely will be back!

L&L provides a good fix if you’re craving Hawaiian food. Order at the counter and grab a seat. Service is friendly enough and the food comes out pretty quickly. I always get a plate lunch entrée which comes with a scoop of rice and a scoop of mac salad. The mac salad is delicious– but then again I’m not sure I’ve tried a mac salad I didn’t like! The garlic shrimp is good but their kahlua pork is what really hits the spot. Husband is a fan of the pork tosilog, which I quite like as well. Don’t forget to get yourself some spam musubi!

My wife and I love L&L. We both were excited like so many posters when we saw this locally. Even though the food was okay, it wasn’t Hawaiian barbecue. It was«off» with every dish we had tried. BBQ Chicken, Loco Moco, spam masubi, saimin all tasted wrong. It was pretty sad that I would recommend them to either stop cutting corners or relearn the recipe. Whatever was held responsible for this fraudulent L&L food, should certainly be checked out and fixed. The best L&L Hawaiian barbecues are usually run by Koreans or Filipino from what I’ve tried. This was not run by either. I still love the franchise I just hope another one that is more like the others pops up.

My family and I Love this island restaurant since the food is the closest to our Hawaiian flavors. Wish they had fried saimin and breakfast meals but beggars can’t be choosers. They always let me make my different variations of mixed plates. My go to is the seafood combo with garlic shrimp, garlic fish, and kalbi. Or just the shrimp and Kalbi. My keiki loves their spam musubi and spam saimin.

I ordered the specialty of the place, fried egg over garlic white rice and pork that has a sweet, red sauce on it. The pork is fatty, a little too fatty for my taste, but the profile of the flavors were great, really perfect. The pieces that had no fat were excellent. The quality of the food overall was very good. We also had the seaweed wrapped around rice and bbq chic, good, nothing special, as in no surprise tastes. It is what it is. Good home ethnic food. The folks are super nice, offered us an umbrella when the sky opened up. Reasonable prices. I would not eat it again, not because it is bad, but it is not the kind of food I love.

Small no frills counter service joint with posters of Hawaii and surfing all over the place. Typical Hawaiian menu– you can get loco moco! I got the L&L Hawaiian BBQ mix which has a ton of rice, barbecued chicken, and short ribs(think Korean Kalbi in terms of the short rib flavor). A large portion for one person, you can probably split it into two meals. My friends got the ramen burger. It was a bit gimmicky but they finished all of it which means it was pretty decent, right? My favorite part was the little sauce bar they have by the soda fountain. Nothing better than making your own sauce concoction.

Eeeh… so I was excited to try this place out. The décor, the reviews, the menu… left feeling like a cheap Japanese knock-off. Had some katsu curry thing and the musubi(highlight of the evening!). Curry was maybe over seasoned as it overpowered anything else I ate, the katsu pork was overly chewy and greasy. If anything, at least they used japanese rice. I wish I ate chicken teriyaki at the mall food court instead. I’d consider returning and trying another dish but wouldn’t be rushing back after that experience.

Local Hawaiian food. Yummy. We had the BBQ chicken and it brought me back home. Place was busy but we didn’t have to wait that long for our food to be prepared. Lots of local juice and kauaicookies…(you know I had to buy a box) If you like LauLau. Ask today they had it but sometimes they don’t but even if they don’t. There are still some very good alternatives.

First of all, finding Hawaiian food in Texas is pretty difficult! With that said, this L&L definitely satisfied my craving for ono Loco Moco. I thought that it was great, except that the egg was a little undercooked(I asked for over easy, so next time I might say over-medium?). When you check in, you get a free musubi, so I was pretty excited to redeem it. I ordered the Portuguese sausage musubi and was pretty disappointed. It wasn’t like any portugese sausage I had ever had… And I couldn’t finish it after eating 2 bites. All in all, I would come here again for Hawaiian food. I want to try ordering something different next time though. The people who work there are very friendly and kind people.

After coming back from our trip to Hawaii last spring, my boyfriend and I were excited to find that there was Hawaiian cuisine in Plano! We wanted to try something we had never tried in Hawaii before, so we ordered the Pork tosilog with a sunny-side up egg. Plus we got a chicken katsu musubi on the house for checking in on the Unilocal app. That one dish was more than enough to fill our hungry bellies. The pork was well cooked and flavored, the rice came with a vinegar garlic sauce that was very tasty, and the ooey-gooey egg on top brought it all together. The musubi was awesome as well — crispy fried chicken wrapped in rice and seaweed — what more could you ask for? I definitely would recommend this to anyone who is curious about Hawaiian cuisine or nostalgic about it. It’s very«ono» indeed :)
