Not bad. Stopped by with a friend for lunch after manis. It was a weekday afternoon so not overly busy; I imagine this place is really hoppin’ on the weekends. We ordered a few rolls and they were all good but not anything you can’t get at any other typical sushi joint. Service was pretty good, no complaints there. I’m always surprised when a restaurant’s default iced tea has an «exotic» flavor to it and they don’t warn you about it, but oh well. It wasn’t bad, just tasted fruity or something, but I guess I like my iced tea black and… normal. With all the restaurants the Shops at Legacy has to offer, this wouldn’t be my first choice but I wouldn’t refuse to go if someone invited me.

We went to celebrate a birthday and take advantage of the happy hour. The happy hour is nice but only slightly less than regular prices so don’t go in thinking this is some kind of deal when it isn’t. The food was very good, fresh and tasty. I do recommend checking this place out if you haven’t. If I had a complaint it would be that even though the reservation was made with birthday celebration in the comments they didn’t do anything special, not even saying«Happy Birthday». So that was a disappointment.

Came here for happy hour on a Tuesday & the service rocked even though the place was packed! I felt like a VIP cause everyone kept coming to check on me & my friend, both the waitress & floor managers, & made sure we were all good at all times! They were super sweet & accommodating. Dragon Bite drink was delicious! Crispy tuna appetizer was definitely my favorite! Soooo fabulously good with the black pepper soy sauce! Close & convenient to the parking garage & has a bomb patio that’ll be perfect once the weather warms up! Well deserved 5 stars. Great Asian fusion cuisine with a lounge atmosphere.

Needless to say I love sushi, this place is great for a date night or just simply outings for cocktails and sushi. Good music, good service and food. Big variety of cocktails and always easy to get a table.

I’ve visited from time to time over the years because friends would suggest it for happy hour or dinner; but after my first few encounters, I realized that I never found myself craving RA or suggesting it myself. Their price point doesn’t quite correlate with the tastiness of their food. Me and a friend popped in recently for dinner during the 8pm hour on Friday; we were interested in trying a restaurant next door, but RA’s wait time for a table was virtually non-existent compared to the 1+ hour wait time of the other place… score for RA. I think the food here is okay… nothing super note-worthy. I’ve tried different signature rolls, nigiri, appetizers, and drinks. My favorite drink is their Blushing Geisha(couldn’t taste a lick of alcohol… they might have pulled a fast one on me here, but it was tasty). My favorite dishes are the calamari tempura and sushi(toro and sake nigiri). Good people watching, decent service. Happy Hour is M-Sat from 3−7pm and reverse from 8-close, select sushi & apps from $ 3.50−9.

The sushi here is sub par in my book. We tried multiple sushi dishes and I think the only one that was decent in my book was the seared tuna crusted with pepper. The service is fine and the staff is friendly. Look for Oscar at the bar he is fast and treats you right. Overall the only reason it gets 3 stars really boils down to the ambiance and location. The inside is designed beautifully and the location is right smack dab in the middle of the party life of Shops of Legacy. Not rave land but definitely lots of fun bars and etc.

I’m surprised at the amount of negative reviews for this restaurant. This is a great place for date night or dinner with friends. I wouldn’t consider this a kid friendly rest. as some of the décor comes across provocative. We had great service, and the food was wonderful and beautiful. Very hearty portions. We will definitely be coming back. Plus you can snag awesome gelato next door after dinner!

To start, there were 4 or 5 people standing around the host stand. When I said there were 2 of us, the hostess looked around and said there was only seating at the bar. I said we’d wait, and asked how long — 7 people in the wait area, and she said ONEHOUR. Uhh. ok…we’ll wait for a bit and see. Our pager went off ten minutes later. When I smiled and commented that the hour had flown by, she looked at me with a straight face and sarcastically said, «Right?» Even my son commented on her attitude. Crazy. Our server, fortunately, made up for the rough start despite being incredibly over-sat. Why are so many people standing around up front when the servers could use hand? Anyhow, she was great. The food delivery was *very* staggered(delivered over 20 minutes), which made it difficult to enjoy without feeling guilty that the other person was without food. Once everything arrived, though, it was great. Rude hostess, great server, slow food delivery, good food. This was my second trip, and the first was similar. Will likely try out other nearby options instead in the future.

We were here for happy hour with some friends, so for what we paid for discounted food I would give it three stars. I ate a ton of rolls laden with sauces and BS foo-foo fried lotus root slices, pot stickers etc, but it tasted fine. I basically was eating to fill up and it served its purpose. I would not come here just to eat. Drinks — I tried to order an Old Fashioned but my(new) waitress had never heard of that and said«yeah we can make you something kind of «Old School». WTH haha… I tried to explain it but she looked at me like I was an alien. I asked about just ordering some bourbon, but she would walk off and talk with the bartender and eventually come back and say«we don’t have that bourbon». Finally I had to walk to the bar myself to find out that they had no bourbon at all and had to go with the definitely old-school Crown and Coke haha. All in all we had fun but it was not my choice to go here and I would probably not go back.

The 5 hostess & hosts waiting at the door were very unwelcoming and inattentive when my friend and I walked in. Upon waiting for a table(when there were plenty cleared), our hostess made it feel like a hassle that she was seating us. Beyond that, our server told me that the hand rolls included two rolls per order, which I figured was enough food and proceeded to order. When I received my order, there was only one and when I asked her she simply put it off as «I guess I was wrong» and then tried to up sell me to buy another one. I left hungry, unhappy, and will not be returning. The food was great but the service was TERRIBLE.

Process for buying gift cards is not easy. Gift card website does not load properly. Then, once you get in, they have some arbitrary process in which they approve gift cards. They charged my card then decided not to send me my gift card. They are refunding my card but I have to pay the balance the get it back later. Best to buy gift cards in person no over their website.

This place used to have really good sushi at least a year ago. Now the sushi is bland not fresh. The size of the roll become smaller. They have new management and new menu as well. Everything in the menu is more expensive with smaller portion. Definitely never going back! Even though the happy hour price is okay. Sushi roll starting $ 5 without good quality. If u want quality sushi definitely not here. No wonder this place get empty during lunch hour which used to have long lines.

Great place for happy hour all week! Ra Sushi is definitely one of my go-to happy hour spots. Monday-Saturday is happy hour from 3−7pm and 10pm-close! On Sundays, it’s from 8pm-close! I really like coming here for dinner and drinks on Sunday night. The drink and food choices on the happy hour menu are awesome, much better than several other restaurants. My favorite drink is the Fuzzy Momo Bellini frozen drink. It’s pretty sweet but it’s delicious. The size is big too. If you’re into sake, you can get flavored hot sake for an extra dollar. They have apple, mango, banana, and I forgot the rest of the flavors, oops. I guess the happy hour food menu can be a little more on the pricey side but the portion is big! I really like Viva Las Vegas Roll, Rainbow Roll, Crunchy Calamari Roll and Pineapple Cheese Wontons(it’s like a crab rangoon) Service is always good here and I like the hip and loud atmosphere which is perfect for a happy hour spot! So if you’re looking for good food and drink specials around the area, Ra Sushi is a must-try. But I wouldn’t come here for their regular menu, you might be disappointed.

Ate here recently on date night with my husband. Usually this place is packed on a Friday night but because we got there early(around 6pm) there was plenty of seating at the Sushi bar. I ordered the Nigori Lycheetini which was very good and came with a garnish of 2 delicious lychees. We ordered the Unagi eel Nigiri — delicious, eel was nicely cooked, Pork gyoza potstickers– also very good, Spicy yellowtail roll– fish was NOT fresh and the spicy salmon roll– ok. Not impressed by their rolls– too much rice and not great flavors. Overall, fun place for a weekend vibe and hangout, great drinks, so-so sushi.

The only good thing about this place is the happy hour/reverse happy hour, and even then their food’s still overpriced. Been here numerous times, used to have a few friends working there which were the main reasons I revisit this restaurant, also they open late so it’s a cool place to grab some drinks. The restaurant itself is very noisy, all the time, anywhere you sit it’s incredibly loud, booth tables are placed extremely close to one another it’s impossible to have privacy. The waiters have been cool but turnover rate is high and there were a few times when our order wasn’t what we’d asked for or that something’s forgotten, probably because of all the new in training staff members. As far as the food goes, i’m not sure if it’s too Americanized and I just don’t have a taste for it, but the«sushi» doesn’t taste right, it reminds me of the type of sushi you get from Krogers but just fancied up with a lot of sauce, i’ve tried the potsticker once and I remember only eating one because they were soggy, I have stopped going since a few weeks ago(my friends and I wanted somewhere with happy hour specials late at night), I can remember every single visit I leave with a faint regret of going back. I’m not a fan of Kona grill either but I’d rather go there for happy hour now that the Plano one’s opened than Ra, I wouldn’t recommend Ra to anyone to appreciates real sushi, maybe just a gathering for drinks during happy hour.

Great fun environment, good drinks, food is ok. I love the apps more then the sushi itself. Vegetarian options for sushi limited and what they had for a veggie roll was not good. Still a good place for happy hours and those that aren’t picky with their sushi

RA has a cool/chic/trendy vibe and because of that, fits right in at the Shops of Legacy. However, I just wish their sushi was up to par. I admit I only go to RA during happy hour because I believe their sushi is pricey considering how small and overall underwhelming their sushi is. But by going during happy hour, you take advantage of their reduced prices AND available seating because this place does get packed by around 7−8PM. I also wouldn’t recommend coming here if you’re looking for an intimate or quiet setting because with the music and crowds, this place gets really loud. BUT I do understand that’s part of the atmosphere, which is why this can be a fun place to go with friends or co-workers(and less so with family).

I thought this would be a great place in Shops at Legacy, but it turned out to be just a-okay. Pros: + Quick — there was absolutely no wait for the table + Extensive choices — the menu definitely has something for everybody + Spring Rolls — OMG, these were amazing + And so were the Dragon Rolls Cons: — I felt a little rushed half-way through dinner. We were still eating and the servers kept wanting to take away our food. — The only frustrating thing was that when we wanted to leave we couldn’t find our server in time! — Parking is insane here! There is rarely street parking on a weekday night, and the garage right behind is horrible. You really have to floor it to get the car all the way up. Other than that, this place was a decent find

I like RA Sushi. But the last few times here has not been so great. The food is ok. I ordered spicy chicken udon. My chicken was so dry I couldn’t eat it without it getting stuck in my throat and I had to wash it down with water. Flavoring was good though I must say. As for my drinks. I was not happy with it. I ordered Lychee martini and both times I had to send it back. It wasn’t even close to lychee. It was like a lime and sweet and sour martini. It tasted so was weird. I will say that the second time I ordered it I did not dare return it in fear of them getting mad. Needless to say we left and went to another bar. This is definitely a great setting for a group though. Service was ok. Slow but our waitress was nice!

You know what, Ra? You’re a little better than I originally thought you were. Granted I had a friend in town with a convenient little corporate expense account who ordered us a smörgåsbord of food and money was not an object, but I truly enjoyed what I ate. Zoni roll, chili ponzu yellowtail app, garlic something yellowtail app, tunacado, and even the dragon roll were delish. And the ‘shiso naughty’ is a taaaasty cocktail. And the service was much friendlier this time. And it’s really nice that this place doesn’t close at 10 on Thursday nights(ahem every place in Frisco ahem). Yes it’s dark and loud, but if you’re in the right mood, it’s worth checking out.
