Remi’s is a dive but a dive worth going to all the same, if only for the drinks. There’s one bartender(he goes by Sally) who makes the best mixed drinks I’ve ever had anywhere. It almost feels insulting to call him a bartender because he’s a true mixologist and a total peach. Drinks are reasonably priced for the city and there are drink specials going on all the time. Don’t ask what’s on tap though; they don’t have one. It’s bottle/can service here. The food is ok but nothing much outside of the usual bar fare. They do deliver locally though which is just plain interesting. Prices are a bit above average for average quality. The setup is very strange with the graffiti-covered restrooms stuck in back so that you have to pass right by the sound board to get there. Watch your feet! The couches are a nice amenity and thankfully not fabric. Beware of the carpet though. I don’t think it’s had a good cleaning since it was the 201. There’s live music and some dance nights as well, leaning always to the dark/goth/punk side of things. Again, it’s a dive. However, it is a dive with killer mixed drinks.
