A little expensive for me. Great service can’t wait to experience the food one day.

The thing that always wows me here is the service. Always. See, I tend to wander into Tazza late at night — they do food, their full menu, until 11. So it’s late, there’s usually several of us, we want cocktails and dinner and quite probably dessert. Speaking of, Tazza’s desserts are stellar. The food is always fast and fresh — not stuff left warming from earlier in the night. It’s different, too, not ever boring, and the menu changes up with some regularity. They also have reliably good cocktails that actually are both novel and totally drinkable.

Best breakfast food ever. I had never had fried breakfast potatoes that were mixed of potatoes and sweet potatoes! What great flavoring! The ambiance was so nice, and perfect for a breakfast! My only complaint is I can’t come here more often due to time!

We went to Tazza this past weekend before seeing a show at PPAC. The atmosphere is hipster-ish and cool. It has a coffee house feeling when you walk in. The service we received from our waitress whose name I cannot remember(but she was Asian) was AMAZING. She was really attentive and professional!!! The food was absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed two flavored lattes, crab bisque, wedge salad, mac and cheese(OMG), grilled pumpkin pizza and the steak. We eat out A LOT, so I consider us pretty good judges of restaurants and this one was TOPS! Definitely check it out and order the mac and cheese if you know what’s good for you… an appetizer sized portion, it’s unbelievable! Our only reason for marking it with 4 stars instead of 5 was that we were very uncomfortable in the seats. We sat at a high top neat the window not realizing that the stools would be SOOO uncomfortable. Our wonderful waitress offered to swap our chairs for others but by then we were finishing up, we should have asked her earlier. Next time, we’ll wait for a booth.

I really got to say Tazza has to be one of my favorite breakfast spots downtown so far. Superb coffee, delicious food, and a great atmosphere! One of the best things on the menu hands down has to be the Malted Belgian Waffle. Everytime I go I wish I could order 5 of these guys, it is so fricken good. Also the coffee here is above average. Coming from a ex-barista I know my stuff. Everytime I go to Tazza, I french press it up and it never disappoints. In trying to think of something bad about this place, I can not really think of anything. I can not comment on lunch or anything past breakfast, since I have only come here for breakfast, but I can say that if you do go for breakfast, it’ll be delicious. Though a little pricey, I feel it is well worth it.

Met friends here pre-concert on a Saturday night for drinks and a light meal. Nice environment. Good music. Not too busy. In general, the food was tasty and well prepared. The mixed drinks were absolutely delicious. But the service was exceedingly slow/disappointing, especially because we had clearly communicated our time constraints upon arrival. Not sure that all service issues were due to the poor timing our(very nice) waitress. I think there are overall restaurant management issues at Tazza. There was a point where we waited a full 15 minutes for mixed drinks. A few«hot» dishes came out cold/lukewarm because they were likely waiting too long for someone to carry them out. Appetizers(ceviche, calamari, cheese platter for 4) were delicious but comparatively small. Salads and veggie sides were well prepared and tasty. Stay away from the pizza; you’ll be disappointed. PS I have no clue why Tazza restaurant management doesn’t swap out the faucets and soap dispensers in the bathrooms. Exceedingly difficult to get water/soap. It’s been this way for years.

Friend and I had a great brunch there. Sunday morning was pretty busy but we got a seat with no problem, service is prompt. Décor is very contemporary and the hostess was pretty dressed up. However, it wasn’t a snob place, quite friendly actually. Food is delicious and amount is generous. Friend loved his steak and eggs, and my Belgium waffle was deliciously topped with malted cherries and bacon bits(unusual but so yummy). They have a nice list of bloody mary. I definitely plan to come back and try that next time.

I really like Tazza but I tend to only go if I have out-of-town guests because it’s one of the«fancier» places in PVD to get breakfast or brunch so it can be on the pricier side. They have a great selection of coffee and tea, their food is delicious and always borders on the unique, and the staff is friendly. The few times I’ve gone though the staff has been a bit slow(at one point my friend got up to ask for hot sauce as our waitress was not coming back and our food was getting cold). I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a new spin on brunch.

Was visiting a friend in Providence who was here on business for 3 weeks. It’s come a long way since my last visits! Was nice to see a lot of cute new businesses popping up. My friend had gone on a weekday morning and said the brunch was good, so we went on a Sunday morning. When we walked in we had to wait 10 minutes even though there were some large tables open. Totally fine, as I’m used to waiting in long lines for good brunch. Sat down and our waitress was friendly. It took a little while to get coffee, but the servers seemed to be pretty busy, despite it not looking very crowded. We eventually placed our order. Two standard egg/toast breakfasts and I got the Huevos Rancheros with no pulled pork. The waitress acknowledged that so I felt confident that it would come out fine. We waited at least 30 minutes for any sign of food, and didn’t see our waitress during that time. Well, saw her but not at our table. There was no coffee re-filled or updates about our food during this time. Finally my dish and my friend’s came out. Hers was fine but mine had pork on it. About 15 minutes later, my dish came out again and then the one other basic breakfast that was missing. So, my one girlfriend basically ate alone so her food wouldn’t get cold while we were waiting for ours. Apparently there was a mixup in the kitchen, but we had to flag down our server to ask what the deal was. Being a server for years, I understand mistakes happen, but the LEAST you can do is to update your tables and apologize for the inconvenience. There was still some pork in my huevos rancheros, but I just pushed it aside. I didn’t want to wait for a whole other breakfast and I just have a feeling they pushed the pork off my plate and covered it with sauce. Everyone felt like the breakfast was mediocre. It’s too bad because the décor and menu look great, but between the service staff and kitchen staff, I wouldn’t recommend going here on a weekend. And to the managers/owners — you’ve got a great idea here! With some improvements in service you could have something… it’s just not there yet.

We visited for breakfast on Labor Day. A great find near our hotel: — great coffee & tea list — friendly, mostly tattooed service — awesome beignets with lemon glaze, cream & butter — great eggs & crêpes — a wonderful oyster po boy sandwich — not too loud — good bandwidth What more could need in the morning?

I’ve only ever been here for brunch so that’s all I can vouch for but it’s been fantastic. They have a lot of food you don’t really see in RI on the menu — beignets, chicken and waffles, and corn flake coated french toast(!!!) to name a few. The coffee is great too, usually I have to go someplace else for coffee after brunch but not here. The décor is something that I love about the place, it’s got a typical Providence trendy/hipster vibe WITHOUT the snobby service that sometimes accompanies that feel.

We enjoyed a nice brunch at Tazza Caffe. The fruit and yogurt were fresh and delicious, as was the freshly squeezed orange juice. The breakfast sandwich was awesome, with the sausage adding some spice. The waitress was beyond pleasant, adding additional types of fruit to the fruit cup and helping us get oriented in the city. The dining space is beautifully designed and large. The coffee was too bitter.

First time, went during Friday afternoon. Walked in, no greeting, fine. Went to the bar to get a beer, … stood around for 3+ minutes. no service. If it was busy fine, but there’s was one person sitting at the bar with a beer. inexcusable shitty service. Reluctantly, a group of my peer and myself tried this place again for breakfast. The bacon bloody mary is pretty good. Enjoyed it, the breakfast was overall not too bad. Overall food wasn’t the problem was the lack of service and attention to their customers. Would def take my entertainment dollars somewhere else.

Brunch for five, Brown commencement weekend, 10am. No wait, easy walk from Marriot Courtyard on exchange terrace. Quite a selection of teas and great coffee. Had tasty eggs benedict on mushrooms and spinach with sweet potatoes, breakfast sandwich, «my own oatmeal» and great pancakes and waffles. A tiny bit noisy for breakfast, some tables for two are quite low to ground(not knee friendly). Average wait staff(could have used faster coffee refills), but very solid food, no lines on one of the busiest weekends of the year. Sign outside is a little hard to read, we walked past the place looking for it — located in a cute part of town.

It’s a great dining experience only in slow motion. Some things in life can not be rushed and certainly the culinary team and the servers at Tazza are among those things. Don’t get me wrong, I really like Tazza; I peered through the papered-up windows when the were remodeling while impatiently writing on their FB wall. I attend their movies on the block over the summer and I commend them for making their corner on Westminster one of my favorite sit and chill spots on a sunny day. …However. I’ve cooked chicken before, and I am also aware that Tuna takes less than 3 minutes to cook. Then why is it that on my last dining experience I could have watched LOTR(one of the long ones) during my session? When you forget either A) whether you did in fact order or B) what you ordered; then it has been too long. I enjoy food, I enjoy the pace of going out to dine; chatting with friends(or my fabulous girlfriend) while someone else slaves away to satisfy my hunger. …The wait was worth it. The chicken, that was noted as free-range, it may have well been hunted and killed that night by how moist and flavorful it was and the tuna had that lovely delicate smoky flavor that tuna has when it has been perfectly cooked to a warm red center and a crusted outside. …However. Tazza management please motivate your server to move a bit faster, be a bit more attentive, remind them to check to see if guests are slowly starving or dehydrating while waiting. I would happily have ordered more cocktails while waiting(they’re really very good). I can not fault Tazza for their food or their drinks, only their concept of time.

My husband and I drove into Providence today for an overnight stay, and was looking for a place to eat downtown. We must’ve taken all the wrong turns, because we ended up stopping at Tazza just because we gave up on finding something interesting. And the verdict … meh. Pros: The celery root soup was very good. Had a bit of ham in it with a drizzle of chive oil, and it was extremely tasty. Also, had the southwest veggie burger, and I enjoyed the flavor. It was a homemade patty, which was bonus, made out of rice, beans, lentils and seasonings. And our server was very friendly and efficient. Cons: The sweet potato chips were not crunchy at all. They could’ve been stale, could’ve been fresh, I have no idea. They were so blah. Did not crunch in the mouth. Chewy. I asked for no onion on my burger, and it came out with onion. Not a big deal to remove, although its such a simple request, and I really don’t want to dig around in my food to pull onions out if I don’t have to. My husband had the pulled pork, and he said it was flavorless. Definitely not«Carolina» style, and the flavors that were supposed to be in there, he could not taste. Lastly, he wanted the burger, but they ran out. How do you run out of burgers? After leaving the restaurant, we walked around some more, and of course found countless other places we should’ve eaten at.

Just have to add that I had an outstanding brunch here this past weekend! I think we got there just before the brunch rush… loved it. The only thing I may suggest they add to their menu would be adult coffee beverages… if they have them, I didn’t see them. I ended up with a cappuccino with a shot of Bailey’s on the side, and it was $ 11!!! A little expensive I thought… but then when my Steak and Eggs showed up… nothing could have made me happier! If you’re a bit on the tall side(such as myself), ask to sit at a non-high top… those stools are meant for people with tiny, tiny rear ends :) Tazza may become my go-to brunch destination in the city!

All I can say is BESTBLOODYMARY around! Bacon infused vodka, salt and yummy bacon along with other garnishments that just WOW me every time! Great list of cocktails that are out of the ordinary but fabulous like the Pineapple Basiltini! The brussel sprouts are a must! Cool vibe. Good music. Great place to start your night! Oh– and ask for Janice! She’s awesome!

I was super impressed with this place. We ordered tapas, and it was more than enough to feed the two of us. Yukon Golds with Dill — we could have done without these. They were just baby Yukons with some sprigs of dill. Decent flavor, but nothing to write home about. Sliders — perfect temperature, GOATCHEESE, and fries. Could be a meal on it’s own. Mac and cheese — Delicious, but it’s 4 jumbo stuffed shells. The stuffing was a mixture of marscapone and maybe a blue cheese? Was really yummy. Tazza Salad — SO good. This salad had candied pecans, apples, dried cranberries and the Maple dressing. I was totally turned off when I heard the dressing(a combination of maple syrup and mayonnaise), but it was actually really good. Gazpacho — It was okay. It was too thin for my taste. For the most, portions are pretty big for being small plates. It was fun to have a tasting of so many things, but it was a ton of food for two people. If you’re interested in going the entrée route, they do have a theatre menu(3 courses, and a glass of wine), for $ 30.

I can’t believe how long it took me to get to Tazza! My first visit was so fabulous, I was back within 24 hours for my second. No jokes, kids. After our first choice for a late night supper didn’t pan out, we were wandering aimlessly around Downcity and happened upon Tazza. When we found out they serve food until 11pm, we made our way in and snagged a cozy corner table. The space itself is really gorgeous — concrete counters and floors warmed up by dark wood and cool light fixtures. I zeroed in on the little necks and chorizo app(surprise, surprise). When the extremely helpful and friendly server told me it wasn’t quite big enough to satisfy a dinner-sized appetite, she suggested I order it as an entrée and they’d beef it up. Beef they did, and with my half of the spinach salad that I split with my companion, I was fully satiated, not to mention delighted. I downed a delicious Bee’s Knees cocktail and thoroughly enjoyed my evening, as did my colleagues. Their dinners were both different, but equally as scrumptious and we all tottered out with full bellies and smiling faces. Come breakfast time, we were in search of coffee, tea and free wifi. Once again, enter Tazza. We snagged yet another corner, this time with a booth and noshed on a delectable cheddar-bacon-corn muffin that was actually more like a scone, and totally delicious. When one of my companions was unhappy with her chai, a server noticed the untouched cup and very politely offered to re-make it for her, no fuss. They did, she was happy, and all was right with the world. Love it. I think I smell a regular, as this place is just too good.
