I am not an expert on all things Chinese, but it’s pretty great. You get a good amount of food for a fair price and the food is actually pretty good. The chicken was okay, however I am not a big chicken person either. But the beef and shrimp were great. If you like spicy, I highly recommend that you ask the peppers to be grilled first because I noticed that they probably threw them in last and were not cooked all the way through.

The food is pretty good(3.0 or 3.5) BUT the amount you get for your money is great. Also, I called in an order to go last night and it was ready in 10 – 15 minutes.

My husband and I have eaten here quite often since it is closer to home, last time we ate here was a few months ago and then decided to order this past Sunday for take out. Our fav is Mongolian beef, Sadly this time there were about 8 small pieces of meat and the rest was onions, green and white, there was more onions in the dish than anything else. The prices went up the the quality went down :(

Always had a good meal every time I come in. I love Chinese food and this is close to my house, so it is perfect. I always get a combination plate. Most combination plates are around $ 9.99. It comes with Egg Drop Soup, 2 crab wontons, white or fried rice, chow main, and whichever main meat you choose. Prices are fair for what you get. Service is usualy promt, drinks refilled, and always polite. Food is tasty, not greasy, and flavorful. The place is alway clean, along with the tables. Would recommend to people.

I am a busy busy lady and when I take my lunch I only get 30 minutes. Now working in the medical field you get very tired and very hungry. So you want something good and fast to feel you up . Anyways I never had this place before and a Co-worker said they were good. So I was advised to call in my order. So I do about an hour early. When I my rush I got there on time to pick up my food but my order never went through. So I was there waiting my whole break for my meal to be ready which really frustrated me Cause now i won’t be able to eat I will just have to hurry back and go back to work . But I have to admit when I was able to eat I was very impressed with there orange chicken and fried rice and I will be going back . It was great and even though I had to wait the food was worth it !!! even if I only had 30 minutes to spare

Visiting from SLC and was craving chinese. Happened to be by the restaurant. It was delicious. We ordered sweet and sour chicken and the szechauwan(spelling?) Chicken. I recommend it. I Give only 4 stars because the egg role seemed to have nutmeg in it and I don’t do nutmeg.

I go here once a week the food is always delicious! You get a lot of food for the low price and it’s always hot and ready for pickup. I’ve never been disappointed with the food here. If you want some really great Chinese food at a great price I seriously suggest you try panda south you won’t regret it!

It’s your average Chinese restaurant but they do give you fair portions for the price. A dinner meal for one can range 10 dollars but you will have leftovers for sure. Their general chicken is a good choice.

We have ordered take-out from Panda South twice in recent weeks and enjoyed the experience. Last night we decided to dine in the restaurant. The food was hot and delicious. We ordered a Po-Po Platter for three people and enjoyed a scrumptious selection of appetizers(egg rolls, fried shrimp, paper-wrapped chicken, crab-cream cheese wontons, skewered beef(comes with a hibachi for warming) and pork strips. We followed that with a steamy hot tureen of Wor Wonton Soup. We probably could have stopped there, but the food was so good we then ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Pork Chop Suey, and steamed rice. Needless to say we had a lot of left-overs to take home. This restaurant also serves crispy Chinese noodles. The kind you used to be able to get at every Chinese restaurant but no longer can(not the skinny tasteless kind sold in grocery stores). They are great in the soup and added to most dishes. We bought some extra just to take home and eat. Their hot tea actually comes to the table steaming hot! And the fortune cookies were fresh, which isn’t always the case with other Chinese restaurants. Both were a big plus in my book. In all, service was wonderful, the food arrived at the table quickly and at a nice pace between dishes. The staff was helpful and friendly. And the cost was reasonable. This is most definitely the best Chinese dining in Redding(and we have tried all of them).

Ok food, a bit heavy on sauces, the service was very slow. Best dish was sesame chicken. Worst dish was chicken and vegetable the sauce wasn’t chicken flavor and it tasted weird.

Enjoyed a big meal in this simple restaurant. I got the cashew chicken with noodles. Large portion and tasted great. $ 7-$ 8 is a good price for how much they give you. Would recommend. My first Chinese place I’ve tried in redding and really enjoyed it.

The only place I go to satisfy my Chinese food cravings. Quality of food is top notch. Worth every cent, and reasonably priced.

Ordered«general chicken» and it was just ok. I know now why general decided to remain nameless. It wasn’t spicy either even though it was indicated as such on the menu. Also, it didn’t come with any rice. I’ve never been to a Chinese food place that didn’t include rice unless you ordered a noodle dish. Got a side of egg rolls and they were soggy and bland with barely any veggies inside. This is probably good Chinese food for Blandville — I mean Redding, but if you’ve ever had decent food anywhere outside of Shasta county, this is well below par.

FOOD: The food here was not bad. For the chicken dish, it would have been better with dark meat rather than white but was otherwise flavorful and tasty. SERVICE: The waitress who served us was friendly and efficient. PRICE: Our bill averaged out to around $ 9 per person.

My mother and I had some time to spend while taking my son to a class he had to attend up in CV. It was dinner time and since we’ve exhausted many of the other options in CV and north Redding this place fit the bill. As a bonus, there were three sheriff cars parked outside. Now, don’t get me wrong but if the sheriff’s are eating there it can’t be that bad. They should know very well where the«decent» places to eat are lol. The food comes in huge portions, so be ware. We weren’t all that hungry and we ordered one combo dinner which was around $ 11. We both ate and we had a huge to-go box that barely closed with the left overs. The staff is way attentive, probably too attentive. They came by our table before we were even done eating and boxed up our food to go! But we were both full so it wasn’t a big deal. BTW, when I ordered, I only ordered one meal and asked for their split plate charge, I asked them for it, as in, please charge me this as we are going to split this, they didn’t charge me… go figure. But they did bring out two plates and two hot teas… I think my bill was like $ 13.50 with tax and tip.
