Great overall experience… An unassuming exterior leads to a hidden gem of a restaurant in a small beach town that would be competitive in any major city. I can say this with some level of comparison being from Philadelphia and loving to try the plethora of excellent restaurants we have to offer. Bramble and Brine’s service was top notch! They were knowledgable and professional while also being very friendly and personable. As for the food it was creative, interesting and the flavor had depth, with different ingredients I wouldn’t have expected that paired very nicely. I did not expect such unique and well crafted cuisine and was pleasantly surprised. If you’re in the area and looking for a really nice dinning experience, definitely stop in. If you’re on vacation and won’t have the opportunity to return, I would suggest trying the tasting menu so you can try a few of the unique dishes. The duck mortadella and short ribs were especially delicious :)

Food was cold, service was awful. Waste of time with so many other great restaurants in Rehoboth!

I was very disappointed in my(and my party of 6) experience tonight. We were sat 50 mins late — the waiter was overworked — some wine orders needed to be reminded and almost ½ the orders weren’t available so we had to reorder dinner. After all these challenges nothing was comped or discounted. I feel like service has changed a lot and the food isn’t as good as it used to be. They had no problem charging full price after providing half the service.

A small quiet special delight We had a rehearsal dinner here — they could not have been more accommodating 14 friends filled the elegant side room — all too ourselves all night Monica attended to us as if we were family Great interesting dishes — superb service and a good price for what you get It is also a great option for a romantic meal for two and for a late night small plate A treat on all fronts

Comfortable renovation provides updated minimalist décor sans prior cottage clutter. Unpublished menu prices may fuel rumor mongering of inflated fare, but not justifiably so. Dinner was swaggeringly served with ample menu variety and portions at $$$ comparable to similar venues. Skip the teeny apps, enjoy your entrée and share a dessert(or 2, there are some good ones!) Seems like decent folks producing enjoyable fare at B&B. Fear not and enjoy.

The food was great a few years ago, but over the past year or so it’s turned to awful. Went there the last week of August 2015 and had a terrible night. Service sucked, the food was inedible. Save your time and money, DON’T go there!

There have been some changes at Bramble and Brine since last I went. Updated décor and a few menu changes. Bottom line, rock solid 5 stars. Everything was great. Service from Monica was spot on as was the entire meal. Not cheap but worth it!

We opted for the $ 65 tasting menu. Overall, it started slow with a Caesar salad with five leaves. Dressing was good. Then we had a single ravioli in a feta reduction. Good. Next came a cold corn soup. Getting better. Then deep fried soft shell crab. Really good!!! Finally we received lamb chops. Delicious!!! The meal ended with an amazing chocolate plate! If you don’t like rare meat, tell the server as our lamb was VERY rare. Compared to Blue Moon, it was almost as good.

Food was delicious and service great. They have an eclectic menu(but not too adventurous) in a relaxed setting. The drinks were creative and delicious! Definitely a great spot for when you want a break from the beachy feel of most of the restaurants in town. Will definitely go back for a nice dinner next time I’m in town.

Food was OK but they don’t know how to cook steak but boast they have the best ribeye in town. Had to send it back 3 times to get medium, was completely red when it came out.

I would rate the service a 5, cocktails a 5, ambiance a 3(only due to the crowded feeling and noise level), and food a 4. We had the tasting menu, which was ok. We had a deconstructed Caesar salad, ravioli with what tasted like peas and burnt butter sauce(my favorite– if they had this a la carte I would order it often), a rhubarb consumme, soft shell, porchetta, and a dessert sampling. I’ve left chef’s tastings before very full; this left me wanting a tad more substance in the protein department. What was most noteworthy was probably the anniversary cake they made for us and the hand written anniversary card. We’d definitely return but order from the a la carte menu instead and perhaps sit at the bar.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal in this upscale yet casual atmosphere. Our server was attentive throughout our stay. Food was excellent. One of the strengths of the restaurant are the friendly and professional employees. From start to finish every request is handled perfectly. The homemade dishes are made to order, and come out exactly as requested. The menu was full of creative dishes that made my decision very difficult. That being said I was delighted with the foie gras and swordfish pastrami butcher board, and smoked calamari appetizers. My entrée, the rib eye was perfectly prepared and full of flavor, I only wish i could have finished all of it, but I had to save room for dessert! The malted milk chocolate kulfi was wonderful, a study in chocolate for sure!

Amazing! The food was fantastic and the drinks were prefect. The rib eye was extremely flavorful but still a very lean cut. The bramble spilt dessert was literally the best dessert I’ve ever had! The staff especially Robert were wonderful as well. You must try Bramble and Brine!

I’m very sorry to post my disappointment with Bramble & Brine. For the prices charged and the level this restaurant seems to want to achieve, the level of scrutiny must be raised. Hope this is taken as constructive criticism. 1. Did you change the décor? Previous visit-enjoyed the eclectic décor. This visit– same-o ‘urban modern’ feel. 2. Seat patrons with reservations in best table available, not bad table in middle of primary circulation aisle. Thank you for relocating us after request for more private location.(It was clearly a slow night– many tables were open) 3. Train servers to set out correct menu. I received wrong menu and, of course, picked unavailable item and had to reselect. 4. We understand desire for tasting menu to be selected by all individuals at the table– but, particularly on a slow night, flexibility will go a long way for guest satisfaction. I was concerned about one of the courses due to allergies. Server made inappropriate assumption that I’d be fine with one of the items– and I changed to ala carte menu. My husband really wanted tasting menu, but there was no attempt to work though his thoughts or preferences. Try offering some of tasting menu entrees on ala carte. 5. Warm the bread. Wonderful crusty bread that was actually cold, not even room temp. Warm would have been so good with your special butter. 6. Raise taste level. Husband’s scallop appetizer was strong fishy tasting. My tile fish entrée was bland. 7. Fish spoons are made for fish dish with broth– needed one. Haven’t ever seen fish spoon for dessert– had one. 8. If you want diners to see kitchen through large window, then staff should be busy making food, or at least acting chef-like while we wait too long for our selections. We saw folks just hanging out, not making food.(And put the plastic bag with supplies somewhere other than against your big window. Well– the desserts were great.

Great dining experience, lovely setting. Unusual place with a different menu. Set amongst antiques and has a colonial vibe. Upscale place with really good waiters and attentive service. Great wine and delicious food. Great appetizers too! Good crowd and good atmosphere. Pricey but worth it.

Saturday night can be written down as one of the top 3 meals of my life. This is big city restaurant quality foodie style dining. Fantastic Old Fashioned to start the evening. Sweetbreads were delicious but the star was the watermelon rosemary sorbet and the pickled watermelon rind hidden in the micro-greens. Up next, the dinosaur bone sized short ribs. O… M…G. I felt like Fred Flinstone when it was placed in front of me on a cutting board! Melt in your mouth, unbelievable tender beefy goodness. Normally the Hort ribs are cut into smaller pieces but the presentation of it being 1 large single bone was unique and EPIC! The chayote was delicious as well. Tablemates had the Duck Ragout and Rabbit sausage. Both were divine and supremely well prepared. I’m not much of a dessert fan but when I see a menu item that has bourbon marshmallow fluff, I can’t say no. So we ordered the buttermilk donuts with the bourbon marshmallow fluff and chocolate mouse etc. OOoooopha was that tasty. This place put up a strong fight against the top 3 meals I’ve had in my life to include a 20oz bone-in prime rib from Mastros in Scottsdate, and a 7 course tasting menu @ Restaurant Eve in Alexandria, VA. Each ingredient carefully thought out and worked together. Highly recommend this establishment.

We came for dinner after hearing that the chef had been at Le Virtù before. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere was eclectic and fun, and the drinks were delicious. However, the food preparation still has some kinks that need to be ironed out. For appetizers, we ordered the ribeye crown, the sweetbreads, and the pea tendril salad with beets and ricotta insalata. The ribeye crown was excellent — it tasted like the best halal beef you’ll ever had. The shortbreads were good, but nothing special, and the salad was a total miss. The pea tendrils were fibrous and a little bitter, and with only ~8 tiny slices of beet and sparse shavings of cheese, the salad was too dry and too plain. I had four bites of pretty good salad, but was left with a mound of inedible, unadorned greens at the end. Our entrées fared better — two of us ordered the duck and the other member of our party ordered the halibut. We loved the duck. It was succulent and tender, perfectly medium rare, and well-accompanied by the grapes. On the other hand, the halibut was over-cooked to the point that it resembled more of a fish steak, and it was very dry. The cauliflower purée was very tasty, but again, there wasn’t enough of it to balance out the natural dryness of the fish. Also, the fregula was very bland. Finally, the dessert was outstanding. We shared the banana split on pound cake, which was massive and decadent. It was the perfect combination of sweet and salty, with fluffy mounds of whipped cream atop dense pound cake and really interesting ice cream flavors. Bramble and Brine has a lot of potential — when they do a dish well, they really do it well. With some tweaks to the menu and component ratios in their dishes, this place could become truly wonderful.

Food was a ton salty — but overall great addition to the Rehoboth restaurant row— ***Bill & Randy recommended this one. The service was great considering they’re fully booked(i.e. It’s the hight of the beach season). However, the hostess was snooty when I asked to be seated earlier(«open table APP» froze up on me MOAR). The food all came out with CrAZy amounts of salt(e.g. some chef’s & inept managers subscribe to the 1980’s style of management), to sell more $ 20 drinks by including a Bambi sized salt-lick free of charge!!! Overall it was $ 132 for 2(tip included) — you decide???

Bramble and Brine was a really nice dining experience for our large party of ten. We were seated in the front part of the restaurant, where there is a lot of natural lighting from the windows and you have a pretty clear visual of the bar area(always fun to watch). The atmosphere inside is very quaint and cozy. With a large group, seating was a little tight; however, we were all able to see each other and didn’t have to yell from one end of the table to the other, so I guess«cozy» is not such a bad thing. The linens, mix-matched silver and china gave me the impression I was eating at a friend’s house(albeit a very cultured friend). I ordered a gin drink that had honey, bitters, lavender, etc. I believe it was called the«Bees Knees» or something to that effect. It was impeccable! I could have ordered this particular cocktail all night long. I love a drink that is well-crafted, and the bartender here obviously knew what he was doing. My boyfriend had a bourbon drink with berries that was served in a Moscow Mule copper mug; similarly, he raved. We decided to split the cheese board, and this is where a five-star review bumps down to a four. There were three cheeses, raw honeycomb, seasoned nuts and a few pieces of thin yet crusty bread, but for $ 15 the portion size was ridiculously small. I could have done without. I ordered the rabbit wrapped in proscuitto as my entrée, and loved it! The rabbit was cooked to perfection and the saltiness of the ham really brought out some intense flavors. The braised brussel sprouts that accompanied the dish almost stole the spotlight; they were incredibly good. My boyfriend ordered the ribeye, which came out looking more like a filet(center cut, perhaps?). Regardless, he thought it was delicious. I believe both of the entrées were around $ 30, and while the portions were not huge, they were about what I expected. We also ordered dessert, which was $ 12. We split some sort of chocolate chip cake with buttercream, which was seriously sinful. It was a large piece of cake, too. We had great service while were here and everyone else seemed to enjoy their food and drinks as well. I think the appetizers may be too small for their high price tag, but the main dishes and desserts seem on point. I would definitely redo the same meal(sans cheese board) and can’t wait to visit again.

Decent, but just a lot of rough edges. Fresh ingredients, flavorful preparations, and a good range of options for different dietary restrictions. The famous«ribeye crown» seems like just a little taste of steak, not something worth writing home about. No objection to eating here, but I wouldn’t rush back. Good points: — all meats well prepared. They win major points for sending someone back to the table to talk a friend out of ordering his dish cooked the wrong way. — ingredients generally high quality — wine list has a number of good bottles at the low end of the price range. — able to accommodate large and slightly noisy parties without much difficulty. Loss of stars: — Real problems with wine temperature. The first bottle we requested was unavailable due to lack of a chiller. The second, a taste was poured that was properly cold. When we got the bottle, lukewarm. — total disappearance of wait staff at the point of dessert. It’s 10, you’re tired, but so are we. So help us get out quickly? — no non-alcoholic cocktail options. In fact, when we requested ginger ale, we’re told there isn’t any… Despite there being two dark n’stormies being sipped at the table.(At least that was fixable with education.)
