Our second time to eat here and it was good. The table bread is very good. It was light and airy like a ciabatta and served very hot. The spicy sausage and spinach stuffed mushrooms were excellent. The antipasto to share is huge. The crispy fried calamari was not bad. The braised short rib ravioli is my husband’s favorite. The chicken piccata wasn’t bad but just a little too buttery for my personal taste.

After coming to this restaurant about once a week for the last half year for the movie dinner deal($ 19 pizza slice, soup or salad, beer, wine or well drink, movie tix and small popcorn) we decided to come eat dinner on Sunday night with some friends from out of town. My wife and I were pretty excited to finally try a full entrée. We arrived at our reservation time at 5:30 and were taken to the rear of the restaurant. Seeing that almost all tables were empty we requested a front booth or a table in the open part of the restaurant. We inquired with the hostess and were told that all the tables and front booths were held for bigger groups of 6. We had 4 in our party and were disappointed when we were put in a back table. After finishing our dinner and dessert we left taking notice that after 1.5 hours there were still plenty of open tables in the main dining area and a party of 4 sitting in the front booth. Disappointed in the attitude of the hostess who was rude and could have very well placed us in one of the front booths. She seemed young and inexperienced working in what we thought of as an upscale restaurant. Only Pro: Q was our waitress and her personality and attitude were great. Her attitude made our dinner experience more enjoyable! We asked for extra bread because its that delicious. Our food came out very quickly but tasted average. We ordered two chicken piccata, an eggplant parmesan and spaghetti & meatballs. The piccata was good, chicken was seared well, eggplant was delicious but the chunky sauce was just ok. The spaghetti sauce seemed spicy and seemed off in flavor, meatballs were tasty. I expected a bit more flavor in the sauces overall. The tiramisu was good and came in a mason jar which was different and original. Overall I would not return for dinner service.

Really wasn’t impressed. Food was fatty and not authentic Italian food. Ziti was not even ziti pasta. Chicken was generic. And pizza was small with hardly any cheese or tomatoes. Outside ambiance was nice and service was great. Food was just not good. I felt like I gained 10 pounds when I left.

A tale of 2 dinners. The short rib ravioli is worth the trip from anywhere as it is a fantastic dish and by fantastic I am talking crave worthy, just an absolute grand slam. The spaghetti & meatball entrée could have come from a different restaurant entirely. It unfortunately paled vs. the short rib dish and I am not one to add salt to a finished dish but this one really needed it, some seasoning and some fresh parm would have gone a long way. The sausage stuffed mushrooms were outstanding a really nice portion and the flavors balanced perfectly the sausage was juicy not dried out, another hit! I would have liked to have tried the calamari but we were told by our server that they only serve the rings as some customers get freaked out by tentacles. Rant alert IFYOUAREINTIMIDATEDBYTENTACLESDONTORDERCALAMARIGOTOMCDONALDSGETYOURMCNUGGETSQUITBITCHINGANDRUININGCALAMARIFORTHERESTOFUS!!! Great atmosphere, terrific staff. Lots more on the menu we are eager to try. Well worth the trip.

I ate Tramici’s last night. I had the Gemelli Bolognese and it was delicious. We had the calamari as an appetizer and it too was well prepared and very tasty. Our server, Misty, was very attentive and while busy, did a good job taking care of our party. All told, very pleased. While it is not inexpensive, good Italian is worth the extra.

Out of every dining establishment on the island this place has served up perfectly cooked food every time. Wait staff is friendly and well trained. Food came out quickly.

Solid. Vacationing on the island and were looking for Italian. Appetizer, salads and entrees were all delicious. Highlights were the shrimp and gnocchi app that was on special and the shrimp and crab fettuccine. Would highly recommend.

You won’t ever leave Tramici hungry. The servings are huge and the food is wonderful. Served so quick and hot by attentive servers. We had the calamari and it was cooked to perfection. The daily special pizza was amazing. All at reasonable prices. It was packed and we were lucky to get a table without reservations. This was our first visit.

We had a great experience at this restaurant. The service was nothing we could complain about, the food was delicious, and the environment was elegant yet casual as well. We ordered the chicken parm and calzone and found both to be well prepared and very pleasing. I paired my chicken parm with a glass of wine and it went wonderful. They provide you with a basket of fresh warm bread and this was a fantastic plus to our meal… Even had seconds!

Chef Dave always does a wonderful job with daily specials and the menu is always very good. Family friendly for sure. Lunches and dinners are great. Get reservations for dinner because it fills up. Great place for dinner and then go catch a movie across the parking lot. Wish they had more beers on tap. Overall awesome!

Nice restaurant with just average food. Mediterranean salad was the best part of the meal. Pizzas were lacking cheese. One had to go back because it was basically MIA. How do you make a pizza with no cheese? Came back and they forgot the basil and prosciutto. How do you mess up twice? Wine list is lacking unless you like the cheap stuff with marked up prices.

Ordered take out on New Years Eve. Wait was reasonable but the cost seemed to be a little pricy for what we were getting. With that being said, the food tasted great and I had one of the best lasagnas I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend, just would hope they might bring their prices down a bit.

«This is a fabulous place to eat. Try it. You’ll like it!» Recommended. This is a fabulous place to eat. My wife and I bring our friends here when we’re visiting St Simons Island. The offerings are extensive and the special menu items are always intriguing. We’ve tried an assortment of dishes — they’re all good. It’s a bit pricey, but worth it. Try it. You’ll like it. p. s. You’ll note this place is co-located with Halyards. Both restaurants are owned by the same owner. But they have separate chefs and kitchens. Halyards presents American food.

I’ll give this a 5 due to its location and the relative competition. We’re from ATL, where this place would not get a 5, but I do think these guys could pull a 4+ in the ATL. This place is clearly the class of the field in this area, from what we’ve experienced. Calamari app — Nicely done. Fresh tasting, served hot, very crisp, two very nice sauces served alongside. Party’s Entrees — — Seafood Fra Diavolo on Linguini — Well done, guys. Most restaurants go wimpy, this place went bold. The spice was strong, seafood medley was lightly treated. All was at it should be. Nod of the head to Tramici here. — Fettucini Alfredo — Well done again. The sauce was creamy and cheesy, quite nicely done. — Chicken Parmigiano — Very nice. Sauce was very flavorful, chicken was juicy and plump. Nicely done with the cheese and the mushrooms Ok, I was awarded tastes of all the above, but I ordered the pizza. My Entrée — House Pizza w/sausage, prosciutto, peppers, onions — Superb! Crispy and strong crust. Very flavorful sauce. Sausage was spicy as promised. This was a custom ordered pizza, but the main ingredients were quite excellent. Dessert — — Chocolate on the Rocks — Appears to have been made in-house. Very yummy! — Tiramasu — Possibly made in house, but that’s rare these days. — Coffee — The coffee was weak. Pump up the flavor and you’ll be great, guys. Atmosphere — — Well done, again — Very pretty inside the reataurant. We sat inside, but appears to have a nice outdoor seating area. Service — — Really good skills — Christine took fantastic care of us. She is well trained with good experience.

I don’t know that I would go back but I know my girlfriend would. I’m a big believer in first impressions. The moment we walked in the door we where ignored. People after us who arrived got seated first. The hostess didn’t even acknowledge us even though I was standing right by her stand. We sat outside which was nice. The waitress was very friendly and polite. The food was my main issue. The special I ordered was a rigatoni baked pasta with spicy Italian sausage, pepperoni, spinach, onion, red peppers and season gorgonzola. I was excited. Then it arrived. The pepperoni was similar to what you would get on a Totinos frozen pizza. The gorgonzola was non-existent, the sausage was not spicy at all, the onions where all on one side and it had no real flavor. My gal loved her pork braised stuffed ravioli with a mushroom sauce so that is really the only reason that I’m giving them 2 stars. I tried hers and it was decent but I think her being REALLY hungry played a role. They do have a pretty nice movie night deal for $ 15 dollars if you sit at the bar.

Tramici’s is an upscale Italian eatery near the movies and the Cloisters on St. Simon’s Island. It’s roughly the equivalent of a Romano’s or a Carrabas but at twice the price. We got the sausage and spinach mushrooms as an appetizer. They were tasty, but a very measly serving for $ 7 — and the mushrooms were surprisingly small. I had the salmon dish — $ 20 — and I was disappointed because it was basically something that I could have thrown together myself at home: salmon rubbed with seasoning over white beans and arugula with a little lemon juice. Not much other seasoning — I wanted a dish with a little more thought. My companion got the shrimp and fettuccine dish — and had to send it back because it was cold. Even when she got it back after sending it back, it was even that hot. Not the best Italian… I wouldn’t soon go back. However, it is VERY convenient to the movies on the Islands and they had a great special — a slice of pizza, a glass of wine, a ticket to a movie and popcorn for $ 15. Only at the bar, though, which is on the small side. I’d go to get that deal, but not otherwise.
