Quiznos had the tastiest sandwiches. Unfortunately, this location is now a Which Wich. Now there is only one Quiznos left in San Diego. :(

Bad enough that this location keeps almost bankers’ hours, but now they close at 6:30pm instead of 7pm, so hope you didn’t rush down there to get a sandwich only to find out they changed the hours. The entire staff must have recently walked out because the owners are douches and they are now trying to run the place themselves… and they are NOT good at it. This is yet another example of cheap franchise owners destroying a company’s good reputation. From using the less expensive non-Angus steak meat for the the Black Angus Steak sandwich and forcing all the juice out of it with his whisk, to charging for every sauce, condiment, and veggie that you want on your sandwich, this place just sucks. Not only did they recently change the hours, they try to close early, so when you get there at 6:15pm, expect that all of the condiments and sauces will already be put away and they try to guilt you into not making them get them back out. When I told the owner I didn’t want mushrooms and onions on my sandwich and he still started putting onions on it, and I said again«no onions», his response was to say that I didn’t tell him that, rather than just doing it right. Then, he removes the onions WITHHISBAREHANDS and uses the same bread! And he made my sandwich on the bare, unclean sandwich station rather than on new clean paper wrapper like I’ve always seen them do before. Quiznos is just too expensive to put up with being charged for each condiment or sauce that you want and the service at this location is simply atrocious, even for Southern California. We won’t be back to this location and there is not another one within many miles, so… so long Quiznos!

If you see me reviewing a fast food restaurant, you know there’s a pretty good reason why. In this case, there’s several reasons why I’m rating this Quizno’s particularly high. First off, the food — to be honest, I’ve found them to be a bit better than Subway. My Prime Rib Cheesesteak turned out the way I wanted, and I didn’t know that recently you can have fresh veggies added to your sandwich. The service was decent, no troubles there. But the big thing — DIETMOUNTAINDEW is offered here. One of my favorite sodas! I can’t think of any other chain that offers it other than Quizno’s!

Fast service… Went during a weekday lunch, there was about 4 people in front of me and 10 people behind. I was in and out of there in about 5 minutes. I signed up for their email updates and every week I get coupons from them. This occasion I used a $ 2 off large, which I can spread over 2 meals. I suggest the turkey club because i love bacon.

Let’s start this off by saying that I love Quizno’s.(And I hate Subway.) So why one star? It’s quite simple. Quizno’s is a franchise, and so with each and every location, you can’t quite expect the same level of quality and service. Did you get a coupon online, in a flyer, in the mail? Well bring it somewhere else, because they won’t take most of them here(especially B1G1 free). What if your coupon has no expiration date printed on it and says it is only valid at THIS location? Still nope. Can you say bait-and-switch? Food quality here is okay, but not quantity. You don’t get very much meat in your subs and they are quite stingy with it. My eyes were opened to this when I visited a Quizno’s in Chicago at O’Hare International Airport(5 stars for those guys — and they charge the same amount for their subs as non-airport locations — amazing!). They put so much meat in my sub there that it was literally falling out, and I had to keep picking up the pieces and putting them back. In comparison, here, they come a bit shy of filling up the bread. I have a few friends who literally have nothing better to do than be wrong about things. They maintain that Subway is better than Quizno’s. Well, you guessed it: they’re wrong. But I’ve come to realize that what probably happened is that they visited a location like this one. Quizno’s itself is a great franchise, but if a great experience is what you’re looking for, you’ll have to find another place to eat. Luckily, if do happen you stop by this Quizno’s, there are plenty of other places nearby to have a quality lunch. If you’re still in the mood for something healthy, try the Flame Broiler just a couple doors down or Croutons across the street(on the south side of Scranton). Right near Croutons is also the Opera Patisserie, one of my favorite lunch spots, although they are not quite as healthy as my previous two suggestions.(They could be healthy if you ordered the right food, but you’re going to order their truffle oil & Parmesan fries because they are delicious.)

Went here today with my wife and kids on my work break. This place had probably the most unenthusiastic, pissed off, unhelpful staff I’ve ever been to in San Diego county. They wouldn’t make eye contact, never said«You’re welcome» and looked seriously annoyed any time a customer came in. After the sandwiches were tossed at us they just went in the back and chilled on their cell phones. The food was ok, and the price was fair. But not even helping my wife get the previous night’s dirty floor mats off the high chair? Not cool. I won’t be going back to this location.

So typically, I cannot stand Quiznos as I am fairly particular and they just dont tickle my pickle so to speak. Being as I am in training for the new job and they buy your lunch I dont feel as though I have the luxury of being picky. They informed us this morning that we were ordering Quiznos I decided to be easygoing as opposed to refusing to eat, since that probably wouldnt fare so well either. Since my second Halloween costume is lacking ‘mid drift covering’ I am attempting to eat decent this week in hopes Im fairly small looking on Saturday evening so I located a decent enough sounding salad. Since our food was delivered to us by someone I cant comment on the service within the actual establishment but I am pleased to report that there was NO bleu cheese on my cobb salad as requested. I would have been very displeased to have seen even one nasty stinky crumble. The rest of my salad was excellent and a great size. It came with flatbread that was extremely yummy. I warmed it in our toaster too and it was even better. I may consider going in again someday for something else… We’ll see.

Had some of hot steak sandwich for $ 9. There was a good portion of beef. The bread was lacking though. Beef wasn’t seasoned very well nor did it have an sauce to pick it up. The only redeeming quality was the horseradish sauce on the end of the condiment counter.

I first encountered Quizno’s when I worked in Philadelphia. On the ground floor of the building I worked in? OKAY! Convenience and the yum. But this is not Philly — this is San Diego. And if you’ve ever been to that food court in Mira Mesa/Sorrento Valley off of Scranton Road, you know that convenience is not the name of the game here. Parking is atrocious; people drive like idiots in that lot, I swear. I started going to this Quizno’s when I first moved to SD2 years ago, and worked down the road. Now, 2 jobs later, I’m back in the area, and back to Quizno’s. Obviously, they have that super deal going on right now, which makes it an affordable lunch option, for sure. And I could go on and on about how much I love their Veggie sub. They took it away for awhile, but now it is back. They are a bit heavy-handed on the dressing(Italian, maybe?), which makes the sandwich a big ol’ mess to eat! But it is delicious. Overall, I’m not a huge fan of the big Q’s sandwiches that contain meat. I wouldn’t say I’m picky about my cold cuts, it’s just that there are very FEW that I actually like. You’re not very likely going to see me chompin’ on a ham sandwich or anything like that. I don’t know if people just got sick of the big Q, or if I’m going at a different time than I used to, but recently, I haven’t had to wait at all on line. The line used to run out the door! But nowadays, there’s maybe 1 or 2 people in front of me, max. And if you flirt with me, I will return to your establishment. I love going to places where people are personality plus. And a little joking around, a little flattery, will get you everywhere.
