This restaurant closed a couple months ago… a victim of the mentality of most people in this area: why pay more for Vietnamese food in a nice space when there are cheaper options down the street?

I came here once for dinner and thought the place was kind of cool. The décor is nice. I ordered a rice plate and thought the food was good. Apparently the escargot here is supposed to be good, but I can’t put a snail in my mouth without thinking this is a snail, the things I didn’t wnat to tough as a kid. I don’t have much to say because I’ve only been here once but it was enjoyable and I’d go again.

I love Minh’s!!! Get the banh tom here! It’s so delicious! The décor and ambiance is great! It’s a big difference from the one in Milpitas. I haven’t had anything I didn’t like on their menu. They’re pretty good at accommodating groups as well. Their food is more of the upscale style of Vietnamese dining. I would say you get what you pay for here when it comes to quality. The portions are small but the food is worth it.

Some people attack the phở but this is usually because they don’t realize what they are getting into. I swear this phở has some voodoo attached to it! Have this when you’re sick and I it speeds up the recovery process! There is a nice ambiance here, and this location has much, much better service than the one in Milpitas. Overall, the food is good, reliable and has healing powers =)

I give this place 3.5 stars. This place is one of the nicer, decent looking, well decorated Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Whenever I come to this place, it’s never packed and I get seated right away. The food here is pretty good. I usually get the beef and mushroom rice plate. One time I requested if I could have it with red rice and they were able give it to me. However I do not recommend ordering it after trying it here. Basically the red rice here is pretty much ketchup rice. It’s like all the cook did was mix a cup of rice with a cup of ketchup and stir fried it. I didn’t like it at all. As for desserts, they are pretty good too. I tried the fried banana with ice cream with drizzled chocolate. It was yummy. Service here can be a mixed bag. There were times I had good service and some that were so so. I noticed that the younger waitstaff were a little slow especially when it came to asking for more water or for the bill. Despite that, I still continue to eat at this place because it is close to my house and work. Also based on the setting/decorations, it is a nicer place to take friends or family to eat if they crave Vietnmase food.

I had the desire for banh xeo and my friend suggested Minh’s restaurant. I ordered banh xeo and it came out over cooked! It was brown, very greasy and the pork meat was thickly sliced! My boyfriend ordered the grilled jumbo prawns with vermicelli listed in the«Minh’s Specials» section. The prawns were over cooked as well and old, I took a bite and the shrimp was powdery! YUCK!!! We were very dissatisfied with the food. linhvien t. — I totally agree with you because we noticed 2 tables questioning their bill. It seems like this place cheats on customers bills.

This was my second visit and it is still as good as I remembered. We were in good hands as we were fortunate enough to have our Vietnamese friend do the ordering. The caramelized claypot catfish was excellent. My other two favorites were the pan fried phở noodles topped with a mixed seafood and vegetable sauce, and the grilled beef served with phở noodles and various herbs. Yummy, yummy. We ordered 5 dishes for a party of five, ate till we were stuffed and the bill was only $ 12 each. Not bad at all for the pleasant décor and ambiance.

3.5 hot cocks for great food a bit on the pricier side, extra half hot cock for very nice décor and feng-shui, and being one of the few nicer places in the neighborhood where you’d want to take coworkers for a birthday lunch or somesuch. I think I like their appetizers and rice plates more so than their phở, but only because I like my phở down and dirrrty, and this place is just too pretty for that. But the phở is not bad either. The mushroom/beef stir fry dish is delicious, spring rolls are great and they also make some really nice wild-rice pudding for dessert.

I like the bun hanoi that they serve here. The service is better than any other Vietnamese restaurants. The décor is warm and inviting. Three stars for being a pricy for a vietnamese restaurant but I guess you pay for cleaniness and they have it… =)

Great Vietnamese food. Love the décor. Clean. Friendly owners. BADSERVERS. Go here if you want Vietnamese food at a clean restaurant and comfortable ambience. Does justice to it’s customers. Great for dates.

3.5 rounded to 4 stars. The food here is good, but since I’m not Vietnamese I really don’t know what to order. I just go with vietnamese people and they order for me and everything I have is good. I went back w/o any vietnamese language support and really had no idea what to order, I think I got one dish that was what I expected. Anyways, this is a slighter more upscale Vietnamese restaurant. Nicer than the typical phở places but it’s not that nice. Prices of course are slightly more on the pricy side but not bad at all for the quality. I think I’d actually prefer this place over Tamarine in Palo Alto food wise, but atmosphere wise, Tamarine is better, but also more expensive.

My mothers favorite restaurant. These are the only two things you’ll ever need to order there. 1) Shrimp cake(Banh Tom) — Appetizer 2) Sizzling Catfish(Cha ca) — their specialty I’m not a big fan of fish, but this fish is amazing and probably the only fish I ever enjoyed in my life. The prices are great too, with a party of 2 with drinks your bill will still be under $ 20! There are two locations, the newest location is this one on Tully road, its much more clean and modern with authentic art pieces from Viet Nam. Great place to take a date

There’s only a couple dishes that are famous here and I’m thankful for my old school Vietnamese parents because I know where to go and what to get. Try the cha ca hanoi! IMO, even better than at the restaurants in actual Hanoi, but then again nearly every food in VN gives me a tummy ache. Damnnnn that MSG. I prefer this location over the Milpitas one because it has more ambiance and is much cleaner. It’s dinner date material whereas the Milpitas one is more family outting dinner.

Update 3÷15÷08− MINH’S HASCLOSED!(ave maria) Compared to the original one in Milpitas, this one aint all that. We tried the basics like canh chua, bo luc lac, banh xeo; the best item just tasted average. While the ambiance and décor are nice, the food didnt really hit the spot.

3.5STARS I use to go here often, it was one of the first viet restaurants I took my now gf on a date. Service is on and off, if you have one if the older people/owners they are really nice and friendly, but if you have one of teh younger people as your waitere/server service sucks and they are nonchalant. The food here is decent but sometimes a little bit overpriced but its a nice place for a quick fix of vietnamese food. My gf andn I go here for the carmalized prawns which are soo good untill they increased the price ridiculous. They do charge you for a bowl of rice which is stupid too. I go here because its so near to my house when I’m lazy to cook food. So that deserves another star. I really want to give it a 3.5 though… now that I reconsidered it, the food does not match the price on some of their dishes.

My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in this area! Nice deco, friendly service and Great food. Large portion of wine, too. Not expensive compared to what those fusion restaurants charge. Good for both dine in and take out. Too bad that they are closed for business one day a week.
