Ordered for delivery from Aloha Sushi; first time experience with their food —- Fantastic!!! Fire Bomb, Dynamite Deep Fried, and Aloha Rolls were great. Definitely worth a second, third, fourth… try. Nigiri mix was equally well received and to top it off the Lion King was as good as any other I’ve had before. Delivery time was respectable — not too long and certainly not too quick(that would have been cause for suspicion). Overall high marks for the taste, selection and speed of delivery. Prices were as expected. Will return again!

I was craving sushi and decided to order from Aloha sushi. Well, I was not disappointed. The food was fresh and tasted good. With coupons I found I was able to get a free roll. Having sushi coming to my door is like a dream come true. The order came on time if not a little earlier then quoted time. We ordered ice cream and it was perfect, it wasn’t melted and hot food was /hot/. They must have crazy magics to make sure everything is perfect. They also listen to our order requests which is a big deal for us. We will be ordering again.

What a great find!!! The sushi and tempura is so flavorful and fresh. The Crunchy roll, San Leandro, and Golden State rolls are simply amazing!!! Messy and good! Simple goodness! We love this place! I just ordered for delivery with my credit card to then have the driver ask to see my card. Not only did he take it, he attempted to place it under a piece of paper and use a pencil to outline my numbers and copy my information. He claims his boss told him to do that. I call his boss and he completely denies it. He says the driver doesn’t speak English well and is new. But yet when I told the driver what he was doing was illegal, he said«I don’t care.» This business is very sketchy, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Plus my salmon was overcooked…

Super impressed! Very skeptical for my first Time ordering delivery with them BUT I can tell you I do not regret it! Usually a couple rolls take at least 45 minutes to arrive(this is being compared to Angry Fish Sushi on E 14th) but they delivered within 30 minutes from payment. The rolls weren’t tiny they were very well sized and you can taste the freshness! I will not being going back to Angry Fish! These guys were on point the first time, they deserve 5 stars

The service was great. Great variety and they prepared the sushi the way I asked for it with no questions or rebuttal unlike Fat Fish. Their delivery service is great and I have always gotten my meals within the 45 min promise, actually within 30 min. I glad they opened up and I hope they succeed.

updated review. First 2 times I ordered it was good. food was fresh, delivered as ordered, etc. Last 2 times food delivered cold. Actually felt like the miso soup was chilled and the tempura shrimp came out of the fridge. I order raw sushi, but for my husbands expensive deep fried rolls this is unacceptable. Delivery tonight took 80 minutes. Food was cold and they lied about someone being on their way… twice. $ 63.00 later… pissed. Order from Angry Fish… they get it right, atleast. Done doing business with this place. Updated: I complained and they did give me a $ 20 credit and were very nice about it. We’ll try once more. :) ok, yep, I’m done. I tried one LAST time. Took way over an hour for delivery. Cold again. screw this place. I’ll get off my lazy ass and order from the place in town and drive 5 minutes.

Very good price and good service. The waitress was very polite and nice. The portions were very generous. We order edamame which was very tasty, egg rolls which came out very hot and fresh and tasty as well. We also order miso soup. After we were done with the soup the waitress asked us if we wanted more for free. I never been to a place that offer free refill of Miso soup. Besides that they gave use delicious green tea ice cream for free. This is a place people should try. The price is good and the food is delicious.

I ordered a California roll and sashimi with edamame. It took over an hour to get the food and it had a very strong fishy smell. The smell was so strong that even the edamame swelled like it. I couldn’t eat the sashimi and only ate part of the roll. Never ordering from here again.

Instead of my usual weekly trips other sushi restaurants, I decided to make a stop here and see what this little place has to offer. First off the service was unbearably slow the cups aren’t exactly clean and the water I received had unidentifiable particles in it, so I refused to drink that. There was also barely any ice in my ice water. The rolls lacked flavor I practically had to dip everything in soy sauce, and they all had a fishy stench to it. Their octopus balls(takoyaki) we’re just awful. There was no sauce with it it was just dry and sad. This place overall isn’t even that cheap either I would go fatfish over this place anyday.

If I could give this place no stars I would! The service is terrible! I ordered delivery it took them 2 hours to deliver it when I got the food it was a mess in the bag and in the containers there was sauce all over the bag the sushi looked like garbage that someone had spit up! The crab and cheese rangoons were freezing cold and had absolutely no crab in them it was full of nothing but cream cheese all of the food had no flavor in general except for the poki salad that was warm and tasted like spoiled salmonella fish! I got a stomachache afterwards and I got the runs! Then the owner refused to give me any of my money back or discount or even apologize! I’m not sure how they’ve managed to stay in business or how long they’ve been in business but I can’t imagine they will remain in business much longer with service like this!

I was looking to try a new sushi place, but I will stick with Angry fish after my experience tonight with Aloha sushi. I ordered for delivery: edamame, hamachi nigiri, fried chicken wings, a fried California roll, and a house salad. EVERYTHING was disappointing. First, I live 2 miles away and my delivery took almost 2 hours. I would have picked up my order myself had I known it would take that long. Okay, I like to stay in on Sundays and Netflix and not go out, but I have NEVER had any type of delivery food in my life take that long. I was quoted through the eat24 app that my order would arrive in 45 – 60 minutes. It took at least 115 minutes. The edamame was bland and had no flavor. Sometimes sushi places serve it like this but if you give me that small of a portion(about half a cup) for $ 2.95, I would like some garlic or at least salt. The Hamachi nigiri was not fresh and almost fishy tasting(in a bad way). The house salad wasn’t good at all. While there was yellow pepper and some cucumber which was a nice touch, the dressing was horrible. No flavor, and almost grainy in texture. The wings were tiny and came with a marinara(who serves marinara with wings?) They had good flavor, but were too expensive for what I got. The deep fried California roll. Also, disappointment. It was not even, in fact, a California roll, but a roll that had rice and cheap crab and had been deep fried a little too long(the batter was chewy and heavy, not flaky and light). Thankfully I had an avocado to slice and put with the roll. Unfortunately the avocado didn’t help enough and I ended up throwing everything away except the edamame and the wings. I don’t like to spread negativity, but to my fellow sushi lovers out there, please pass on this place.

This place is inconspicuous but it’s great. The servers are polite and considerate. But mostly, they’re invested because the place is a locally owned and operated family business. We felt welcomed, cared for, and indulged. Get the lion roll and the super Alaska! Their baked rolls have a unique crispness with lighter batter and a thinner crust. A novelty in all the best ways. This place is definitely worth a try, considering price, location and other available options. Two thumbs up!

This place opened up a block from Fat Fish. After seeing a coupon for $ 1.99 each for hand rolls through 8÷30÷15, we decided to give it a try. The service is extremely slow so go early and avoid the busy times. The quality of the food is fair. If it wasn’t for their grand opening specials, we wouldn’t pay their menu prices since there is much better sushi elsewhere in San Leandro.

The waiter was very nice and the bathroom was clean. However, the food quality was horrible. The fish seemed old and did not taste good. I am a great sushi fan and I am not squeamish about freshness. But, I could not eat my food — even though I was hungry. I would have complained but the service was so friendly and the waiter was so nice. Specifically, the chicken teriyaki was pretty good(the best food item), the pork katsu was okay, but the BBQ sauce served with it did not match. The sushi, however, was bad. The tuna was not edible and I took it home because I didn’t want to offend the nice waiter. But I ended up cooking it for my dog because I was scared to eat it(incidentally, my dog disagreed with us and gave it 5 stars). The salmon and mackerel was edible but smelly and did not taste good. The ebi(shrimp) was okay. The salad was fresh(odd when the fish was not) however the dressing was store bought-in-bulk boring creamy goo. And the miso soup was boring, although the chives looked fresh. I hate to provide one star, but both me and Ms Squirrel were badly disappointed when neither of us could finish our food.

I LOVE sushi. I need it at random times and days, and I can’t go long without it, kind of like a crack fiend. Friday, 9pm, BAM! It hits me like a freight train. I need it. I have no car. My BF’s sleeping. But wait! I just remembered! Eat24! There it is, problem solved! Flying eel, threesome(didn’t expect that on this low key night), white tuna, and seaweed salad. Total came up to be $ 35.45 with tax and tip included. Took about an hour to arrive(12 minute distance) and the eel was warm-ish. I didn’t care about all the bad reviews. When you really want something and have minimum options, you don’t know unless you try… Sushi again, that is. Besides, negative people! What do you expect? It’s delivered SUSHI, which is very rare, and If you want excellent service drive your lazy ass’s. Unilocal has a load of 4 – 5 star restaurants you can wine and dine in, and 2 stars doesn’t make it «2nd the best»… Don’t disappoint yourselves and have high expectations when there’s clear evidence posted for you to be warned. Sometimes low expectations(like stale bread in a box) will get you higher outcomes. It tasted fine to me, not the best but not terrible, and it satisfied my craving. Restaurant says it’s pretty new, so in time comes improvements. I can sleep happy now, and until my next late night sushi fix, I know who to turn to. Thanks ALOHA!

Place has so much more potential. Sushi was below average and overpriced. We repeated our order several times but they still forgot a roll. Waiting time was kind of long. Employees are friendly. Won’t be coming here again.

Lady arrived at 9:50 with my order that according to grubhub should’ve been here latest 9:05. She had the nerve to show me the paper and say«well, says here it should’ve been 9:14» I’m mentally thinking even if that was true you’re still super late, it’s 9:50 right now. Seriously? I rather eat a cup noodle at home.

My coworkers and i decided to give this new little place a try after someone had gone to our job to give out the menus. We usually order from fat fish and the food there is great! Anyways back to this review, we wanted to give this one a try and let me tell u, i an huge on first impressions and i must consider this one a horrible one. For sure i will NEVER go there again! Ordered around 12;15pm today, went to pick it up 20 mins later and food was not even ready. When we got there no one else was there so i knew it was not busy at all. We tried to be patient but it was hard. They offered us a drink and i said i wanted a glass of water. It was the worst water i have ever tried and the cup was dirty. I wish i would have inspected the cup before sipping into it. I drank 2 sips until i noticed how nasty it was. After 50 minutes after the 20 minutes that we waited before going to pick it up. So in total about 70 minutes of waiting we finally got it!!! We go back to work and as soon as i saw the food i knew it wasn’t going to be good but i gave it the benefit of the doubt. I only put a spoon full in my mouth when i realized that it was super disgusting!(i am usually really easy to please with food and I’m not a picky eater, but this was horrible) i almost felt like leaving to fat fish while i was waiting. I ordered the gyosa and that was not too bad. I also ordered the salmon teriyaki plate and it was the worst ever!!! I threw it all in the garbage! Not worth it and it was such a waste of my money! Even more money than what i usually spend in fat fish. So don’t go here! Instead go to fat fish, just know that fat fish does need to improve their customer service but other than that its way better than aloha sushi!!! My coworker didn’t like the food either!!! So dont go here!
