Amazing food always fresh ingredients. Very courteous and understanding of food allergies especially dairy allergies, double checked any ingredients that might trigger my allergy. Slightly overpriced but maybe I’m just poor? Flightless heaven sandwich and tomato soup will change your life.

Nothing special. Over priced. Rude employees. Came here to get some work done, but their internet was down. Waited a while at the counter before being acknowledged… ordered a large sandwich that turned out being pretty unsubstantial given that it cost over 10 dollars, no sides. Girlfriend got soup(tomato) that came out chunky and lukewarm served with a hunk of cold baguette. Felt sort of like a nuisance when I was inquiring about Internet password and troubleshooting so I didn’t complain about anything else. There were only a couple customers, I was unimpressed. Seems like maybe they can get away with it due to proximity to SCAD, but I definitely won’t be going back.

I adore Butterhead Greens. I was urged to go here by two different friends who swear by their tomato soup and I have to agree that the soup alone is habit forming. The exterior and dining room are a bit unusual but don’t let that deter you. Try the Flightless Heaven and tomato soup.

I was visiting Savannah for the week and was looking for a healthy place to get a salad. I saw Butterhead Greens advertising on Happy Cow and after consulting Unilocal, decided to give it a try. I went to the website and picked out the salad I wanted to try. My hotel in downtown historic Savannah was about a mile and a half walk, but I don’t mind a walk if there is a good salad at the end. After my long walk, I finally arrived at the restaurant, only to be greeted by a closed sign and a note that said they are CLOSEDUNTILJANUARY4. You can imagine my disappointment! There was absolutely no indication of this on their website, one would think that there would be a giant sign there, but it only shows their regular hours. How incredibly unprofessional. I did later check their Facebook page and discovered a note there, but I unfortunately didn’t go to their page before I went. I simply took their website hours at face value, silly me. I guess I should call ahead to make sure places are open before trekking over a mile to visit them. If you decide to try it out, make sure they are open before going. Fortunately, the fabulous Brighter Day Natural Foods and Deli is right down the street and I was able to get a delicious lunch there.

My English toffee latte was good. I generally order my drinks with extra shots, for the additional espresso flavor and it usually tones down on the sweetness. My drink was still extremely sweet– but I am a sucker for English toffee so I dealt with it. Not ok with 1.25 for every additional shot though. My medium sized latte with two extra shots was over $ 8, and my drink definitely was not worth that price.

Really? How can anyone say anything bad about this place? For the Price you get one of most amazing sandwiches any where. love every thing I’ve ever had from them.

I’ve only ordered in for lunch(we get it delivered to our office). The Flightless Heaven and El Matador are delicious and will order them again and again. I wanted to like the orzo salad more but it just wasn’t very flavorful and the bits of broccoli just got stuck in my teeth… who wants that? I ordered the combo of the day just a few minutes ago and will update from there. I can’t wait to try a salad — they are huge — or so I’ve heard. All the ingredients taste fresh and the sandwiches are just awesome, great portions too.

Great spot to grab a quick lunch to go. Salads are craveable, sandwiches are yummy. Really good.

The food is so good you have to wait a bit but I dont mind for that food. I would pass on their coffee though except their mocha is really good.

The staff here are always so friendly. And the drinks are good. It can be overpriced on food, and some of the options are a little odd. But it’s a cute little shop. Gets really busy at certain times of day because of classes across the street, so be wary if you plan to stop by at any of the times between classes.

I’m in love with Butterhead Greens Café. I’ve been on two different occasions, and both times were awesome. The first time, I popped in for some much needed caffeine. I ordered an English Toffee latte, and although the flavors were spot on, it was a little too sweet for me. My coffee tastes have changed over the past few months, and I think next time I’ll order something a little stronger. Luckily for me, they give you the option of kicking up any drink with an extra shot of expresso. These guys are coffee masters. The second time, I went in for a bite before class. I ordered the Flightless Heaven. It was divine. Mesquite turkey, pickled red onions, and oven-dried tomatoes. I love all of these things. All of them. This place also won’t leave a dent in your pocket. They’re some cool cats with the mission to better the world, one stomach at a time. Try them and let me know how you feel.

The typical college café. The food is all good, the soup is all good, and the atmosphere is quick and to the point. We have eaten here on several occasions and always leave satisfied. The food is similar to what I would make at home and the prices are a little steeper than I would typically pay. They offer good lunch deals and pretty quick service, but it is the pre-class stop so you get foods that are easy to carry and eat on the go. We like the soup a lot, and the grilled sandwiches are good too. I won’t go out of my way, nor will I wait too long for it, but we will definitely stop in again.

Had the day off so I decided to check out a few places. This place is right on the corner and across from one of the SCAD buildings so it gets quite a bit of traffic it seems between classes. The staff is friendly and the place seems pretty chill. I ordered a hot chocolate, banana nut muffin and their sweet potato salad. The sweet potato salad was not what I expected… but in a good way. You can taste tart and sweet with the onions and walnuts and was yummy. The hot cocoa was good though it would be difficult to mess it up. They had more food than expected and was of a decent price. Also, According to one of their signs, unless I’m wrong, they sell cigarettes there too. Not what I expected but it’s different. Overall nice place if you’re in the area and want to stop by for a coffee.

This cozy little spot in Savannah has a great mix of sandwiches and salads as well as a few other items. I got the Flightless Heaven sandwich, ½ size Quinoa salad and the Red Berry ice tea! The sandwich was prepare nicely and had sliced turkey, havarti, pickled onions and lettuce. The bread was very fresh and tasty, making for an excellent sandwich. The quinoa salad was delicious and was blended well with a lite dressing. I also had the soup of the day which was sausage, kale and white beans. It was so good that I could have eaten two cups of it. I’ll be adding this place on my «return to» list and can’t wait to try other items on the menu!

I really loved this place! The salads are amazing and all of the ingredients are incredibly fresh! I had the Casablanca salad that comes with a roasted carrot dressing that is to die for! They are also really friendly, so all in all I highly recommend and can’t wait to go back to try other things!

Don’t think they’ve ever made a sandwich that stays together. Service is slow and brutish and meat is usually about half cooked. Menu is, and has been for years, boring and completely unchanged. If you’re going to do a lunch takeout kind of place and charge 11 bucks for a sandwich, do it right.

This is a great spot for a good salad or a mouth watering sandwich. This place usually has a long line around lunch time because of all the SCAD students. Try the El Matador sandwich and the butternut squash soup! Yummm. The staff is also very friendly and laid back. Great atmosphere.

I was very impressed with my toasted sandwich and huge Greek salad. I could tell all the ingredients were super fresh and bursting with flavor. I was surprised to get such a large salad bc it was supposed to be a half portion with a half salad. I also liked their cold mint and cucumber infused water. It was refreshing for a hot Savannah day. If you want fresh food fast, I recommend this place!

I first noticed this place after dropping my dog off at the groomers(I think that Diva Dogs moving to this new location was a blessing in disguise… the parking is better and I get to see all these new spots to try!). Judging a book by it’s cover, the sign drew me in instantly and I bookmarked the joint on my super awesome Unilocal app. I stopped in for a quick lunch date the other day and was pleased(I think I must have just had some great luck, based on some of these reviews!). I ordered the soup & salad combo. ½ a Flightless Heaven and a cup(read HUGEBOWL) of the daily special soup, Loaded Baked Potato. I also got the tea of the day, Peach. My date got ½ of a Flightless Heaven and water. I’m pretty sure the bill came out to $ 20+, which is pretty hefty for the amount of food that we got. My sandwich was lovely, but I had to pull off the overwhelming amount of onions. There was a nice amount of turkey tho, and it was pretty tasty. Nothing overwhelmingly amazing, but good. The soup was tasty, and came in a HUGE serving. My date was pretty disappointed with how small his portion was… a half sandwich is prolly enough to feed a kindergartener, but I don’t know if a SCAD student could even survive on it. The tea was good. And they have a rotating menu of soups/salads/teas/waters of the day, which is always interesting. The ambience is cute and there are trivial pursuit cards on the table to distract you while you wait, which is always a nice touch… I hate being bored. Overall, cute, satisfying enough and somewhere I will try again… but not on a day when I’m super hungry.

First time visiting I had the Flightless Heaven Panini with the couscous which was great but was jealous of the person beside me that got the Thai Salad. It looked amazing and on my short list of things to try here. On my second visit I went for brunch and felt it was to early for the Thai Salad so decided to go with the Elvis which is a Panini of bananas, peanut butter, and bacon and was served with a fruit cup. It was a unique combination of flavors that was very good but extremely rich and I was thankful for the fresh fruit to eat between bites for a break. I would get it again but will not be a regular menu item I order. This place has a cool vibe and you will find everything from SCAD students, business people, locals, and tourist. They also usually have a flavored water and tea of the day I found to be a nice mix. For the coffee lovers they serve a very good local brand called PERC. While not my favorite Panini place in town this place is definitely up there and I would highly recommend trying it.
