Great lunch at Foxy Loxy — we had a variety of the fare and it was all delicious. They serve tacos and Mexican inspired food as well as the more classic Coffee Fox beverages. The tacos, quiche and churros were all really good, as was the horchata latte, a new find for us. We ate in the courtyard and it was really nice and peaceful — vey different than the vibe of the street it’s on. I wish the neighborhood was better but don’t let that discourage you. Try the shop next door — they have a bunch of fun art and other items from the local scene. It’s a nice break while you wait for your food or after your meal.

This is a great hipster coffee house. Most of their customers I think are the SCAD students. It’s a great place to read a book or do your homework. I got the Café Mexicana and loved it. If you like cinnamon, this is for you. The cinnamon flavor is really strong but I liked it. I also got the Bacon Cheddar Kolachee. It was delicious and fresh. The sign outside said they make fresh Kolachee every morning. There were two other Kolachee options available– Jalapeño and Sausage. They have happy hour from Monday to Friday from 5pm to 8pm and you can get $ 2 Lattes and $ 2 Lone Stars. Tuesday’s from 7pm to 10pm are the Acoustic Tuesday, live music local and regional artists. On Fridays from 7pm to 11pm you can get a taco and a tecate beer for $ 5. Saturday’s from 7pm to 11pm are there Fire+Wine night, half price wine bottles, firepits and s’mores. I definitely plan to go back for their Fire+Wine and to try their Nitro Coffee– left nitro stout with Expresso.

Our favorite was the Foxy Loxy Café(1919 Bull Street Savannah, GA). Situated along the main thoroughfare, Foxy Loxy is south of the downtown hustle and bustle. A popular hangout among the students from Savannah College of Art and Design, Foxy Loxy is part coffee shop, Mexican cantina and artists’ retreat. This is the kind of place you want to order a cup of coffee and camp out for a while. The bakery case is filled with delicious pastries like Kolache, a Czech pastry traditionally filled with sausage, cheese or fruit. And how about a Horchata Latte on the side? If you crave something a little more substantial, try the Huevos Rancheros Quiche. I’ve had this on my list of meals to recreate at home though nothing will compare to the Foxy Loxy. The quiche is filled with black beans, tomatoes, green chilies, onions and monterey jack cheese, an absolute delight. Foxy Loxy also serves a black bean soup to fill your heart and warm your soul. Incredible.

Foxy Loxy is a great little place. Not only is it a great coffee shop; its also considered a «Tex Mex Cantina & Bakery» and this native Texan was very, VERY pleased t
